We have been feeding our 7 year old yellow lab Naked Essentials for a few months and it is definitely the best food we have given him. He is a lab so eats anything in front of him but no runny poop and no ear infections like he has had with other brands. Thank you I and love and you for making a dog food that keeps him happy, healthy and away from the vet's office! And it's added bonus that we can order with Amazon Prime!

We received this as part of a sampler and gave just a few pieces to our pup, and she loved it. We actually used it as a bit of a treat she enjoyed it so much. Talking a look ta the ingredients of this vs the dry dog food we were buying from the vet, this is just a lot healthier. The vet's dog food had meat by-products, corn, and sugar as the first ingredients, whereas this has lamb, chicken meal, and turkey meal. Granted, it also adds some starches and sugars presumably from dried beet pulp and sweet potatoes, and bison is actually down below all those on the ingredients list, and the percentages are not listed. But given that this is 10% higher in protein, I expect the sugars and starches are lower in percentage than the vet's food. What really matters though is that our dog enjoys the smell and taste, and seems to do very well eating it throughout the day. We did notice she used to eat in the late evening, and now she has a big helping at breakfast time. We're wondering if the change is because before she was waiting for an opportunity for handouts, and then ate her food only as a last resort if she was still hungry. Now she eats whenever she feels like it because she enjoys the taste.

Update 7/16/2017 My dog still loves this and her coat us shinier even though she was already on a high quality food. I am so happy that I tried it. I found an incredible deal on this but I only ordered 2 bags because my dog rejects many foods. I took a chance, figuring I would give one bag away if she wouldn't eat it. Well, I just ordered 2 more bags and I'm glad I did before the price more than doubled. I have never seen her empty her bowl so quickly. Love the ingredients and the sourcing. "Lamb and Bison" is a little deceiving, though. The lamb is not lamb meal, so tbere is probably actually more chicken and turkey than lamb, and the bison is listed after beet pulp, so it is minimal. Still good protein sources, just an odd choice of labelling. Love the company's commitment. Dog Food Advisor rates highly, and they are super critical. I just hope I can find another deal before we run out of stock.

I am super-picky about ingredients and don't often write reviews, but after reading the ingredients on the bag, you can tell that this company really thought about what to put in this product to make a healthy food product for dogs. Meat is the first ingredient and it is grain free. They also add prebiotics and probiotics which is phenomenal. While my 12-year old doggie is not a picky eater at all, she can have stomach issues. We have been using this product for a couple of months now without any issue. In fact, I have noticed that she reacts better now to this food than to what I fed her before. I sometimes like to add this product to their 100% raw product; we have their lamb raw food right now which is a good mix. Our dog loves it.

Absolutely adore this brand and the trust I can put in their dog food. My dog LOVES his food now and has no gas whatsoever as well as very healthy and solid stool. ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND to anyone who loves their dog and wants the piece of mind of a wholesome dog food with no questionable ingredients. I am in love.

At 4 months old she started turning her nose up at her old kibble and lost weight. Decided to give this a try after reading reviews. First day I gave it to her she cleaned out the whole bowl and has continued to do so and gain weight and grow. During the transition phase she would try to pick out these and leave the ole kibble behind. The kibble size was small enough for her and are heart shaped (so cute) Puppy is a mini Sheepadoodle #SkylaDoodle Really like that it's made in the USA. Also like that it contains chicken and no beef or pork. Puppy's stools have been quite excellent since switching her over.

All of my rescue pups love this good. I have even noticed a difference in their skin and coat. One of my dogs is a shot and prone to yeast on her skin. She is no longer itchy and chewing herself raw. I love that none of my pups have any sort of fishy smell. One of my pups dislikes salmone or anything with seafood however, he eats every bit of this food. I will continue to order more and have already referred this product to friends and family.

I started shopping around for new dog foods after noticing a pattern in my dog's behavior. Multiple times a day for many weeks she would wait by the door so she could go outside and eat grass (to induce vomiting). She only vomited every now and again, but she reeeeally wanted that grass. She also had very frequent and awful gas. Eating her food (which at the time was the highly reviewed "Taste of the Wild Roasted Bison & Venison") was a chore; it wouldn't be unusual for her to skip a meal. After gradually switching her over to "I and love and you Naked Essentials," a few things have changed. She actually eats and enjoys her food twice a day, she has significantly less gas, and she hasn't eaten grass in the time we've switched her, which is approximately one month! To go from every day, 3-4 times a day darting straight for the grass, to not at all, makes me so happy. I'm glad this brand works for my dog's tummy. Side note: I don't think it's fair to give a dog food 1-star solely because your dog is picky. I trust their ingredients, love that they don't use fillers, and it's made a positive difference in my dog. I'm happy! The only thing I would change is the price. With her old dog food, I got 30 pounds for a cheaper price than this 23 pound option. But I guess you get what you pay for!

My Shih Tzu is an extremely picky eater and he LOVES this food!! He also has kept an ear infection for basically his whole life until we put him on this food about 2 years ago. The vet had said it was most likely a food allergy causing the chronic ear infection and we tried countless different foods over the years! After he had been on this food for 2 weeks, I could see a huge improvement in his ear and it has taken the ear infection completely away...no flare ups or ear infections since!!!

I did some research about all the ingredients in dog foods, research about heavy metals in dog food, the quality of the products used in dog food, and dog food manufacturers. This is the only dog food that seemed to meet all of these specifications in an acceptable way. My dog likes it, and has no issues digesting it. Check out the Clean Label Project if your curious and need a place to start.
