My 2-yr-old was desperate to join me in the kitchen and I wanted to be sure she was safe. These knives come in three sizes, are not sharp to the touch but easily cut through most fruits and vegetables! For denser foods like carrots she needed a bit of assistance, but she was quickly chopping all of the asparagus for dinner!!! We just got these so I can't speak to durability, but for the price these seem like a great value for my little chef!

Great for grandkids

Purchased for grandkids who are 3,4,6,and 7. They love helping with cooking but I wouldn't allow them to use my knives. I thought I would give these a try and have been so pleased. They are great for cutting different vegetables and breads. I haven't attempted any kind of meats. These were Prime so I received them quickly. I am very pleased with the seller and will order another set so I have enough for when they are all here at same time. Great way to get your kiddos to eat veggies they normally turn their noses up to!

I teach my Day Care kids how to cook real meals. Now that I'm retired, one of my boys came to visit me & I gave him his own set of knives. We were going to a restaurant for lunch after I took him Easter Egg hunting. He wanted to cook something here for lunch & he used his new knives. He had so much fun being the Boss Chef, not the Sous Chef. I got to be that. He cut up his salad greens, onion, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, celery & raw carrots. He loved using them. When I took him home, his mom was impressed with the knives because they don't cut skin. I was really impressed with these & I recommend anyone to buy these for their children.

Daddy’s ultra safe stamp of approval

These knives are amazing! Recommended by one of my favorite real food mommas - Raising Generation Nourished - for helping little to help in the kitchen and learn safe knife skills before they’re ready for a real sharp knife. My little one has been helping in the kitchen since she could sit up and always wants to be helping. I bought her the Melissa and Doug vegetable cutting set and that used to suffice for her for a while so she could cut her food while mommy cut hers next to her. But pretty quickly and she decided she wanted to be cutting the same stuff as me and her knife didn’t work for that. She’s always asking to get a knife to help. I had been wishing there was an option for her that I felt comfortable letting her use while knowing I could be temporarily distracted at any minute by the cooking. This was the answer! The knifes came and I was so impressed by their quality and design. My husband wasn’t quite a believer in their safety - so before he would let her use them he tried them quite aggressively to see if they truly couldn’t cut her skin. They passed the test and he was shocked. So they now additionally have daddy’s stamp of safety approval. Now our 4 year old is helping me happily with meal prep and using her big girl knives!

Can't say enough good things about this set

Let me just say, these are the best investment for a child that loves to cook! I have a 3 year old and he is all about helping me in the kitchen. He has been cooking with me for a year now and really enjoys it and wants to do it. I started him off young using a pumpkin knife to cut fruit and some soft veggies. I decided that he was ready to help me with more tasks so I purchased these knives and a few other kitchen utensils. These knives are by far the best thing I got. He can chop away, with me next to him, and I don't have to fear that he will get cut. They are sharp enough to cut through food but not through his little hands. If you have an inspiring chef out there, get him/her a set of these and you will not be disappointed.

awesome product

I purchased these for my son who is almost 4. I planned to save them for a birthday gift. Last night I was cutting tomatoes to prep for canning. He was begging me to help. I caved and gave him this knife set. I showed him once what to do, and he did it! The knives cut through the tomatoes no problem, and he had fun doing it! I felt totally comfortable that he was not going to injure himself in any way using these also. Not going to lie, he was a HUGE help in the kitchen with these knives! Thank you for making such an awesome product!!!

Safe lesson under supervision

Exactly as described by the seller. I’m trying to teach my picky two year old son how to use SAFE knives in the kitchen and to engage him in the cooking/eating process. He calls them a “no-no” so I hope with practice he’ll understand they’re safe when used properly. He likes cutting his food and is showing more interest in eating since we started using these safe knives. Obviously they need to be used with supervision and treated as if it was a real knife but they’re great for teaching the skill.

Works wonderfully for a three year old.

Perfect! They don’t feel any sharper than a plastic ruler or something similar, but cut very well. Not too thin as i was worried he’d be able to poke himself. My three year old wants to help in the kitchen but regulating him to putting cut food in the pot was worrying me as he would try to grab pieces while i was still cutting them. Now even with him not having perfect slicing motions he can cut food himself with no worries from me. We have used these for strawberries, tomatoes, and cukes so far. Some of what he cuts wind up a bit smooshed but i think that has more to do with his method rather than the knives themselves. Wonderful product, very pleased. Fast shipping and seller contacted me to make sure everything was okay.

Excellent product

These knives are exactly what I was hoping they'd be. My eight-year-old daughter is very much into cooking and doing everything she can to help in the kitchen. I'm a protective dad leery of letting her do too much...knife work being high on the list of things I was reluctant to allow! I found these, and they were well-reviewed, so I gave them a shot as part of a birthday gift. They were likely her favorite gift. She can use them easily (quality, comfortable grip--I actually like the feel better than some of my regular knives). They cut much better than I expected, honestly, given the fact that they do seem to live up to the promise that they won't cut skin (I didn't saw at my own hand or anything, but I certainly did what I could to test them a bit). So far, they've worked well on fruits and vegetables and other miscellaneous items (my daughter even uses them for brownies when she makes them). Very happy with this purchase.

Great knives for kids to learn

Love these knives! My kids love to help cook but I’m always worried about letting them use my moves because they are extremely sharp. These kids knives are perfect for them! A great size for kid hands that allow them to cut veggies and fruits with control. They don’t cut as smoothly as my knives but I honestly wasn’t expecting them to. They do cut semi-hard veggies (zucchini, celery) and fruits easily and only requires a little extra work to cut the harder veggies like carrots. These are great to kids kids involved and teach them proper knives skills (how to carry them, hold them and use them). My kids are even more excited to help in the kitchen now that they have their own knives! Overall a great product that serves it purpose. I’ve already recommended these to a few of my friends with kids.
