Little bit goes a long way using it for the slicked back look. 2 things that make this a wonder for me. 1. Great for fine hair!

I have very fine hair and its so hard to do anything with it because so. I ordered this based on the reviews and how it won't weigh down or make my hair look greasy. This stuff is great! After I blow dry my hair, I add a small amount (about size of a nickel) into my hand and then begin to apply it. It gives my hair a nice shine but more importantly, it gives my hair the fullness and hold that I need. Overall great stuff!

Best result out of others I've tried!

I purchased this product along with two other hair styling fiber products and I think I enjoy this one the most. It holds better than the others, has minimal shine, smells great, and washes out easily. Because it holds better, you don't have to use as much as some of the other products to get a similar result. I have short, thinner, straight hair, and it does an excellent job at adding texture and hold to establish a different style.

Excellent product

Excellent product! I am a 53 year old woman with thinning & flat hair. This product gives me volume, lift, makes my hair thicker & holds my style. I have wasted $$$ trying several hair products but no more. A little goes a long way. I truly believe the ingredient lanolin wax is the support for the texture & thickness. You have to try it!

Smooth Viking's Hydrating Fiber Cream is the first I've found that provides great control with a natural look

I've tried nearly every product under the sun to tame my unruly hair. Smooth Viking's Hydrating Fiber Cream is the first I've found that provides great control with a natural look. There's no grease, no flecks or globs of product, just, well, smoothness. I'm not sure how smooth Viking's are, but the Smooth Viking fiber cream is exactly what I need.

Compared to Forming Cream

I bought both this product and the Smooth Viking Forming Cream for Men, 2 oz. My hair is somewhat longer. I have shaved sides of my head with 6 inches of hair on top which I want to hold back over the top of my head. I find both products do the job in different ways. This product, the Fiber Cream, produces a harder hold compared to the Forming Cream. Over the day my hair will stay in place more rigidly, with only a few "chunks" (or strands or locks, I'm not sure what to call it) falling out of place. The Fiber Cream tends to form these chunks which mostly stay in place. The forming cream makes hair smoother, but holds less. It will still keep a style and still allow my hair to move around. With the Forming Cream, you can run your hand through your hair. With the Fiber Cream, running your hand through your hair starts to displace the hair. This is a good thing for me though, as I can leave my hair alone with the Fiber Cream in. I have mixed the two which produces a mix between the smooth hold of the Forming Cream and some extra rigidity. I find that it's hard to add more Fiber cream to your hair after it's set. It's more like the style is held and any working through ends up breaking apart the hold. Even getting my hair a little damp, you can still feel the harder strands/locks until you really work at it to get it to dissolve. Unlike many hair products, neither of these products ever breaks apart into dusty powder or an oily mess. This product maintains its matte finish even if you move your hair around a lot. The Forming Cream reduces more to a soft, yet not oily hair (like how your hair is if you run your hands through it a lot and you have that normal level of natural oil in it). All-in-all, I recommend both of these products. Hopefully my review helps you choose which one to buy.

Great Product!!

So far so good. As with other products like this it works best (for me) to use on very dry hair. Whatever your hair looks like when you put it in, that’s what it will look like all day. So if you want some shine, or wet look, use it after a light towel dry. If you prefer to keep things natural and dry, then towel dry, brush teeth, get dressed etc., then use it. I prefer no shine and dry as it also makes your hair a little thicker in appearance which is something I need as I’m getting a little thin on top. Smells good too. No flaking.

Five Stars

At first I was bit skeptical have been using American crew for a long time, but to tell the truth is much better than American crew, more workable and far less messy, less sticky and smoother. Yet the reason I tried was becuse American crew from some sellers are a dud, so it was a trial to solve American crew problem, but came better than American crew. Now, this is my second purchase. If they keep producing quality products I will be purchasing more and possibly, try the rest of the products.

Never bought a hair product online until now

I was getting so tired of trying gels that work at first, but fall flat during the day, and flake all over you making you look terrible. This product: you only need a small amount if you have short hair like me (1inch long on top, and a #2 buzz on the side, faded up to the top). This keeps my hair nice and spikey/ the right amount of messiness. All day!!!! And it does not smell, nor does it flake, which is great. I highly recommend for any guy wanting to bring some style to their hair. I personally use the Crew brand forming cream for my bangs. I first apply this product to top, then follow up with the forming cream very very lightly. (Less is more). Washes out easily with shampoo, and is easy to manage throughout the day, if somehow your hair gets messed up. 5/5, will make this a part of my routine.

My Viking is Smoother than Ever

It works. This product saved our newly discovered intimacy! For the very first time in over three decades, my veteran husband has finally, after constant pleading, allowed his hair and beard to grow! As it got longer and thicker (and so manly), he became frustrated because it was unmanageable. It was either find a product that can control his first ever long hair and beard or he was going back to a high and tight military cut.
