My blue and gold macaw, aged 19 years, loves this spoon toy. She was hand fed as a baby, with spoons, so she "chugs" on them ;) it's so sweet. She also makes great noise with them when she wants to. They are holding up exceptionally well, given the strength of her beak and how often she plays with them. I wasn't sure she'd like it. She loves it!! It's great to have an addition to her toys that is different from the wood and rope toys, although she loves them too ;) Update 8/18.... I've purchased 3 more of this cute toy as they have worn out. My macaw, Stitch, now 22 years old, still seems to enjoy this toy very much. There is clattering and noise that she loves to make. She still "chugs" on the spoon and at times turns into a baby macaw with it!! I think we'll keep on ordering, as this seems to be a mainstay for her. I'm very happy with the quality. It's a great find!!!

My Macaw Alex loves his new toy!

This arrived literally 10 minutes ago and our TAG is already going bonkers over it. I can hear the spoons rattling from the kitchen. He's *very* rowdy with his toys and when I saw that this one was holding up well for other parrot owners I figured I'd get a couple. I'll update if there are any issues, but as of right now this is definitely on the list of the most durable parrot toys ever.

If your parrot tears up toys as quickly as you can put them in the cage, this is the toy for you! My Congo African Grey (CAG) rips up toys at such an alarming pace that I can sometimes hardly justify the cost of purchasing them. I mean...I love her to pieces, but $20 for a toy that will last about the better part of a day (or less) is an expensive proposition. On the other hand, this toy is perfect. - Not to big or small for her, and not a toy that can't stand the rigors of parrot playtime. I still buy other toys that provide the chewing and shredding my OCD CAG needs, but this toy is a mainstay in the cage and my Grey loves me for it. :)

The spoons and toy are of high quality. Our Amazon parrot checks it out and tries to pull it apart, but cannot. Our birdie loves bells, so if bells were added she’d probably love it even more. I added another connector so it hangs horizontally, and she likes to stand or hang on it. The chain is of a good thickness that it doesn’t worry me that she’ll get a claw caught. I may add bells to spice it up.

My bird LOVES this!!!! I have a Cockatoo, and she loves to play. Sometimes looking at herself, sometimes making a racket with them. Mine was different in picture, It only had one quick link, not 2, so it hands vertically, not horizontally as shown in photo. I just added another one I had, but just wanted to let everyone know that. I think its a must have toy for your feathered friends!

I purchased 2 of these at a discount through Amazon Warehouse. The toy appears to be safe. I did not see any safety concerns. The spoons and rings are very durable. I have a Sun Conure. As soon as I hung it in his cage, he went right over and started playing with the spoons. Definitely worth the money. Recommended !

Arrived as scheduled. I showed it to my African Grey Congo (30+ yrs old) & he got SO EXCITED! Then, I hung it up in his cage & he can't seem to stay away from them!! He loves the shiny spoons & making noise with them by tossing them around, but also likes the bright colored acrylic rings above the spoons. Thank you Bonka Bird Toys for making this wonderful quality spoon toy available & affordable thru Amazon! When Levi's happy, Momma's (Me) happy!! LOL This is a 5-star Review from one HAPPY Momma!! Oh, and Bonka Bird Toys emailed me to: (1) ensure I rec'd. it; (2) Find out how my parrot like it, to which I replied to thank them & let them know how he LOVED it. Very nice to know they truly care about their customers!

Our Paco (African Grey) is very interested in his Spoon toy! I can't tell if he is taking out his frustration on the toy or just loves to hear the noise it makes when he is attacking it! He likes to turn backward and reach his foot back to grab onto the smallest spoon and then chews on it when he catches it. I do have it hanging along the side of the cage - I was a bit worried that he might get stuck between the toy and the cage when I tried it across the corner. Hanging it from the top seems to be too high to be used safely. I'll keep experimenting with the location but he really likes where it hangs for now. Very fun and interesting for a Grey - highly recommend this toy!
