Great Alternative to Bulky Knife Block [Update]
Verso Gina
Nice...
I have two really good chef knives that I use constantly. I am a home cook. I'm always chopping or cutting somthing. I need my knives to be accessible. I can't stand going through my drawer trying to find my knives. So I bought this wall magnet. I love it! After I clean my knives I put them right back on the magnet where they need to go and where I will find them easily for my next job. Even my kids and husband knows where moms knives go now. The magnet is strong and was very easy to mount to the wall. I mounted it under my kitchen cabnets right by my stove for easy access. I didn't feel the need to use the wall anchor mounts it came with and so far I haven't had an issue. I've had this thing up for a few weeks now and had no problem at all. I can't wait to buy more knives for it.

Strong magnet, clean and sleek magnetic holder
Unlike the pictures, I place my knives the other way around. My knives have a small lip between the blade and the handle and it rests nicely on the strip. Some people said the magnetic strip is not very strong but it is strong enough the product includes a warning note that states to KEEP fingers away from the cover plate and the magnet. I believe the other reviews which said the magnet isn't very strong, they failed to remove the back plate. It is the back plate that gets screwed into the wall but if you are putting it on a metal object (like a fridge) then you DO NOT need the back plate. As you can see from both my pictures you can have the knives facing up or down.

I want another one!
I want order another one!!! I wish I had thought purchase one of these sooner. The magnet is strong and holds plenty of my everyday knives. I decided to put on the side of my fridge and it hold perfectly when you remove the back and stick directly on. I didn't need anything extra to hold it in place either. I'd like to get one more for the rest of tools because this so much better than the block! Now I have more counter space.

I cannot imagine a better product of this kind!
This is one terrific magnetic rack! It is beautiful and works superbly. I mounted this very simply by removing the the mounting strip, then allowing the rack to attach magnetically to the side of my refrigerator. This left it a bit too free to slide in the plane of the refrigerator, so I added several pieces of industrial-strength double sticky tape. The result was very stable and able to support a great many knives, some of them hefty. So I ordered a second magnetic strip.

Very nice, works well and is easy to clean.
It seems to be very well made. It is very easy to clean and the magnet is quite strong - once the knife is within about 1.5 inches, it will snatch it from your hand. Wipe it down with a Clorox disinfectant wipe & you are good to go! The only suggestion I would make is to put the size of the drill bit needed (1/4") somewhere obvious. Unless you have set of carbide tipped drill bits sitting around, you will need to buy one if drilling through ceramic tile as I did. It would be nice to know what size you need so that you can order it ahead of time and be ready to install it when the rack shows up rather than having to wait for arrival, take the screw to the hardware store or order it from Amazon & wait a few more days. It has nothing to do with the quality of the item but would be a little more considerate of the consumer.

GREAT product, install optional!
LOVE IT. A very good quality product that adds a nice, clean looking, even professional feel to your kitchen. It’s bigger than I thought. So far I have two chefs knives, two paring knives, a steak knife, one very small knife, bread knife, and large cutting knife on it and it’s not full yet! It comes with all the screws and hardware needed to install on the wall-you will need a drill to install. HOWEVER you do NOT have to attach it to the wall-it stuck on my fridge like glue! There’s an option to remove the back panel which will expose the magnet in the back. I stuck it just like that on my fridge and boy does it take some effort to move! You may have to reinforce it with a small amount of tape or Velcro depending on your own fridge but for me it is very very sturdy and definitely isn’t budging, could probably hold 3-4x the knives I have now and not move. I absolutely will buy this again if needed and highly recommend this product.

Quite pleased with this knife holder
I'm so happy I ordered this magnetic knife holder. My drawers were too full & even though I have plastic covers for all my knives, I just didn't like putting my hands in the drawer where they were kept; but I didn't want a block taking up space on my counter. This provided the perfect solution. I mounted it on the wall next to my stove and the counter where I do all my chopping/cutting & am pleased to have everything I need within reach & now have space in my drawers for things that should be there. It was simple to install even for me who has arthritic hands. Do please be careful to read the directions and follow them exactly for removing the backing as they are not kidding when they say the magnet is strong and will pinch your fingers or skin. As careful as I was, I still pinched a finger and OWIE! This holds all 8 of my carving/cutting knives plus two small paring knives and a set of tongs. Be sure to determine before mounting that there is sufficient room above and below the holder for the length of the knives. I did consider placing it on the side of the refrigerator (which requires not using the backing piece) but after trying it, I was not comfortable with how heavier knives made the holder pull down on that side. It would have required spacing the knives by weight instead of frequency of use so I opted out of that choice. Caution - putting it on your frig will cause some marking of the metal side but I was able to remove it with some elbow grease and Bon Ami. If you have a stainless steel fridge, this may not be a good idea.

A kitchen winner!!
Looks nice, does a great job keeping my knives handy! Because I have a tile backsplash and didn't want to try drilling in it, I put it up with heavy-duty mounting tape rather than the recommended mount w/screws, but everything's staying right and tight. I do have one heavy, beveled-edge knife that won't hang straight and seems unstable, and I've not tried hanging anything other than knives on it, but the ones that I particularly wanted to have in easy reach work just fine. I love the size of it, as well as the neat, clean appearance.

Easy to install, Handy to use!
This magnetic strip was priced fairly and incredibly easy to install and comes with clear instructions. The mounting plate is separated from the magnetic plate by a plastic strip with tabs to make it easy to separate. 2 countersunk screw holes in the mounting plate match the included screws and wall anchors. I just used a Phillips head screwdriver to punch the necessary holes in the wall by hand after marking them by placing the plate against the wall in the desired spot and marking the holes. After screwing on the mounting plate, you just simply place the magnetic strip over it and it holds itself in place. Clearly this mounting method makes it very easy to move it later if you need to. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the strip holds any utensil with metal as shown in the photo. I bought one to try it out and then decided to buy another as I found this is a good way to save drawer space and have your tools handy when you need them.
