Very high quality and looks just like the real thing!

So, here’s the thing; I am SUPER picky and obsessive about weird stuff. There are certain play fruits I wouldn’t buy because I could see the seam in the plastic from when it was in the mold (or however they make plastic fruit). This play makeup though, is by far, the best quality, most realistic looking thing that I have possibly ever bought for my daughter. I’ve gotten her a pretend look a like remote, keys, and a play phone, all of which she figured out were fake very quickly. She hasn’t seen the makeup yet as it is a Christmas gift, but I am quite certain that it will keep her out of my makeup. She’s a little heavy on the bronzer yet to be doing her real makeup. But, hey, she’s only 2 so she’s got plenty of time to learn. The “makeup” itself in this set is made from a foam like material so it doesn’t look like shiny plastic, but rather the real thing. I’m so excited to see her “put her face on” and not have to fight her for my brushes and makeup!

super fun product!

I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She was already watching me put on make up and wanted to do it too so I thought a plastic set would be good. This set is wonderful, it looks very authentic and my daughter loves playing with it. It has all you need, lipsticks, blush, eye shadow, lip gloss, nail polish, multiple high-quality brushes, and powder. it's actually good it doesn't come with mascara for safety reasons. My daughter loves taking it out of the bag and putting it back in one by one so she can see all that she has. She also enjoys using the brushes to "put on" the make up. The ONLY thing I would change if I could would be the color. I prefer purple much more than pink so if they had a purple option, that would have been perfect.

LOVED!

Before this had arrived, I was talking to my about how I ordered this in hopes to "trick" my two year old daughter into thinking she's really playing with make up. She's taken a fascination to all of mommy's good make up. My mom had doubted that I'd really be able to trick her because let's face it.. it's easy to tell when something is plastic and fake. However, when it arrived in the mail I was so impressed. Besides for the lipstick, everything was a foam type material that gave it the real look and feel. I liked that the lip gloss and nail polish actually opened and had the brushes. I must have been late night shopping because I feel a little crazy for spending this much on some fake make up, but I have no plans to return it. This is a part of her Easter gift and is going to go along with her own little vanity set. I was curious as to what the negative reviews on here were and the few said "poor quality". Let me tell you what. This IS NOT poor quality. The vanity I bought from a different company came with a few fake pieces and I will say THOSE are junk. I just don't think the bad reviews are comparing this product to a truly cheap product. I'm very happy with this purchase! I can't comment on how well they hold up yet but they seem pretty sturdy. I will agree that they are a little difficult to open.

High quality and realistic.

I bought this for my cousin's 3-year-old daughter. When it arrived (in just one day!) I wanted to open it first to check it out. I was surprised by the high quality and attention to detail. My two daughters (ages 8 and 12) started playing with the set and loved it. Now I have to buy two more because each of my daughters want their own set and I need one to give to my cousin's daughter. The brushes it comes with are NOT cheap quality like other similar products. These are REAL high quality brushes; they are very solid and the brushes are VERY soft. You couldn't break them if you tried. The "makeup" is a textured foam that looks real. It is glued in very well so you don't need to worry about the small pieces of foam falling out. This product uses real makeup cases, real brushes, and a nice zippered bag to keep everything in. I can't believe my girls who are 8 and 12 are actually enjoying playing with a fake makeup kit, but they love it. I am so glad that I decided to buy this brand. It makes a great gift for young (and not so young) girls.

Great pretend make up kit!

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my 4 year old twin granddaughters. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't like the fact that these are pretend and no colors actually are applied, however the girls have vivid imaginations so I decided to take a chance. Much to my delight, since they received them, the girls have been playing with their make up kits non stop! This toy is very realistic and great quality. There are several little compacts and brushes as well as lipstick, lip gloss and nail polish. The only downside is that one of the zippers on the makeup cases broke after a few minutes. All in all, not a huge deal, though, considering how much my granddaughters love this toy! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a little girl who enjoys playing dress up.

BEST Pretend Makeup kit EVER!

Wow! I have to admit I was blown away by this little gem. I ordered this back in November 2016 as part of our daughters Santa gifts. It arrived all tucked in its pretty little cloth/zippered pouch. I took everything out to inspect and was just amazed with the great quality + added detail. The blush, pressed powder, and eye shadows are a foam like material, NOT plastic which makes them way more realistic. There's also a small pink "glitter" eyeshadow that's just adorable and it too is made from the foam. The glitter does NOT flake off or fall out which is everything to me. The brushes are super nice and in all honesty could be used by an adult.. well that maybe a slight overstatement but they're very nice;) Overall this set is wonderful and our 4 (almost 5) year old plays with it everyday. The one thing I feel like should be mentioned is the pressed powered compact has a mirror inside.. it's a real mirror. I do think that could pose a danger to smaller kids who may not be as easy on this kit. However, we accidently dropped it and it didn't break so it may be made of a polycarbonate type material? Anyways, I would for sure buy this set again for a gift or recommend it for other parents who are curious!

4 year old loved it!

My daughter is 4 and I got this for her birthday. She absolutely loves it! She loves carrying around the bag which fits all the items with plenty of room to spare and pretending to put on makeup for whatever event she is pretending to go to. And she loves to "apply" it to anyone who will sit still for her and pretend she has her own youtube show doing costume makeup. I love it cause there is no mess so I don't have to worry about her getting actual makeup on anything and it looks real enough that it keeps her happy. The quality of everything is excellent and seems like it will last through lots of play -- the plastic is sturdy, the brushes are soft and the bag is a thick material with a nice zipper she can work easily. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.

Very realistic,and great customer service!!

If you're looking for a no mess makeup kit like I was, BUY THIS ONE!!! my daughter luurrrves makeup and I always find her with blue eyeshadow all over her eyes and cheeks and a lipstick all around her mouth and chin! The only way to put an end to this was to get her her very own makeup kit. She's only 3 so I wanted one that's mess free. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS! The quality is excellent. The brushes are soft and look like mine. I got this idea from one of the reviews - take the sponge and put a little bit of your own powder on it so it gets the colour. That way, they are dabbing the sponge on the foam but it seems like it's really coming off onto their sponge. I did the same to the lipgloss, I put a little of mine on the tip tinging it with red. She's happy! There was one problem though. The lipstick itself was in the box but the inside actual lipstick portion was missing. My daughter was upset because she loves lipstick so I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me another lipstick without a hassle. Excellent customer service! My 1.5 year old is now fighting with her sister for the makeup too so I just ordered another, albeit smaller one for her. Buy this, you will not regret it!

Pretend Makeup, Hours of Imagination at Work

This set is fantastic. It was purchased as a replacement to a set that my grand daughter loved! It's been a month and even when she isn't using the makeup she carries the bag around from room to room. One of the reasons I chose this set over the original was the realistic brushes, very girly pink with soft, white, bristles and brighter pink tips giving the look it has pink makeup on the ends. The foam pads in place of real makeup look so real that I hesitated to touch the powder, not wanting to leave a mark before giving it to her. The colors of the eye and cheek palettes are also very real. The compact has 'powder' and a separate area for the powder puff with a non-glass mirror. There are two tubes of lipstick that twist up and down and a lip gloss with realistic applicator, also two empty bottles of nail polish with brushes. It occurred to my little she could put water in the lipgloss and nail polish bottles, our mani/pedis are a little damp now, but they dry quickly here in the desert. My little one was almost 3 yrs old when she got this, it is one of her most used toys ever. This set is holding up fairly well. My little one has a tendency to overstuff her "purse" so I have had to put some glue on a couple of tops to the compacts. White glue works fine. My only request would be to put a couple more cents into the chain that holds the tassel on, as the tassel comes off the zipper at least once per day and little fingers really can't pull it open or closed without it. I will definitely recommend this toy to others, little girls or little boys who express an interest. Plus it supports a small business.
