Really handy and easy to use. Holds a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Huawei Nexus 6P perfectly. Buttons feel very responsive and not cheap. Makes playing games on a phone 10X better

I wanted to use the moonlight app on my phone, and was looking at something like this, (i'll save you the search, this is the highest consistently rated android controller) or more than double the cost for an xbox controller + phone mount. Seeing that the xbox one bt controllers seem to be having qc issues, I figured I'd give this a shot. Synced up perfectly with bt with my phone and I was playing via moonlight within a couple minutes. There's a strange pairing issue with bt that requires me to re-pair it each time I use with moonlight, but I confirmed the issue exists with an xbox one controller as well. I'll try to edit if I figure out what the issue is. :) pros - synced quickly way cheaper than alternatives 3 year warranty (seriously that doesn't exist for most tech) controls are fairly xboxish in layout built in phone mount rechargeable battery cons- little cheap feeling little small (i'm 6'2" with relatively big hands but it's still useable) phone mount doesn't feel super strong, not that it will break but the phone pops out pretty easily and there's no way to adjust tension buttons don't feel as nice when pressed overall for the cost I'm happy, and if they're good about backing the warranty I think it's definitely worth the money if I could get 3 years out of it

This is an awesome little controller. I was skeptical because all of the other controllers that I was looking at were 2-3x the price of this one. I played for an entire road trip on one battery though. The build quality could be better looking (it is clearly inexpensive plastic, the led's bleed behind the plastic at night instead of clear lights, you can see the where the mold comes together with some of the seams etc) but it feels really solid in hand. The biggest thing for me was the size. it folds up to smaller than my phone and is slim as well so it can pack easily. All in all, a great purchase, and would do it again! Pros: Long battery life Good controls easy setup good connection multiple modes compatible with alot Cons: looks like an 18 controller

I have a Galaxy Tab s2 tablet. Using it to run mame games and didn't like the touch controller in mame. This controller is exactly what I wanted, very portable, seems durable and paired up quickly. No issues running in mame but might have to remap buttons depending on the game. This is not a deterrent at all just part of enjoying the games. Highly recommend for someone who travels, may not fit those with large hands.

I really love this controller. Works great with galaxy s8. Makes playing emulators on your phone more fun and user friendly. I am only wondering why I waited so long to buy this.

I am impressed by the quality and ease of use in this controller. I have tried many different android games with this and it has worked flawlessly. I have a droid maxx 2 that did not want to fit well in the screen holder but was able to work around it by not using the holder. I just use my kickstand on my case and use the controller "wireless." the buttons are responsive and I have had no issues with impute lag. I was skeptical that this cheep of a product would hold up under use, but it has. I charged the battery when I received it last week and haven't charged it since. I've put in about 4 to 5 hours of play time and the battery has not gone down at all. I saw another review that said it was comparable to a ps4 I would say so far it has done that, and I am going to try and run it dead before I charge it again. Its a really good product though and the shipping was fast. It came with a little bag for storage and a charging cable. I have not tried its functionality on computer or Apple products, so I cant speak to how well it does there. I think I will be buying a few more of these at Christmas time.

I purchased two of these for my and my girlfriend because we got into VR gaming. We are also using them for emulation on our android devices. They controllers are extremely responsive and the design is fantastic for both large hands and small hands. The light weight design is perfect as your cellphone adds substantial counter weight making it perfectly balanced. The stretching holster opens far enough to hold our GS7 with cover so it accommodates a decent range of sizes. But it appears one of them was defective from production and stopped working completely. I contacted Beboncool through their customer support since these come with a 2 year warranty. I quickly explained the situation and they sent me a purchase code for one of the controllers completely free of charge. I am giving this product 5 stars regardless of this because their response was so quick and courteous that my whole experience with the product has been a positive one. I truly recommend this product if you are into gaming on mobile. I was not paid for this review. I am writing this review because my experience with their customer support and their product was pleasant. I am not a member of their review program.

I purchased this for use with my N64 and gamecube emulators on my android phone. Bluetooth pairing with my galaxy S10+ was easy and quick, stable, held the controller home button about 3 or 4 secs for pairing mode, was a little hard to find in the instructions, but it is there and was semi-intuitive to myself as a rather tech savvy person. Controller is light and portable without being too cheap feeling or small for my larger hands, comfortable for playing. Buttons work well apart from a spongy D-Pad which I hardly use anyways (and on my tests for mapping I had no issues with D-pad buttons working, just isnt clicky). L2 and R2 being under is similar to the steam controller paddle locations so just takes some getting used to but I kinda like it now. FYI, I map N64 'Z' to 'L1' and N64 'L' to 'L2' for ease of use and GC 'Z' I map to 'R2', works well. The phone clamp seems rather secure (I have a thin case and leave it on), I put the phone in with the power button down to allow access to volume buttons when playing and dont have button placement issues on the galaxy S10+ My only gripe is that the swing arm clamp has no lock in the open position, only a light resistive force (like a swiss army knife), and I wish it had a lock for the open position so I could play lying down without my phone falling over to my hands. But for this 20's range price point I'll live with it. I likely will add my own lock open solution eventually. P.S. Real controllers are way better than the Nintendo switch side clamp method for ergonomics, at least for my hands and preference. Keep up the good work Beboncool! About emulators: I dont understand why people would have any difficulty using this in an emulator as long as your phone/PC pairs to it as an input device correctly and connection is stable. Instructions state leave the controller switch in G when pairing and then no issues and I find it to be true. As with any emulator controller it only took a quick button map to my preference in the emulator software (both N64 & GC), this is dependent on the emulator you are using and its ability to map a custom input controller. I had no issues with the emulators I use, along with joystick sensitivity, etc. after some settings tweaks. Minor tweaks and mapping need is expected with emulators, know your emulator and dont blame the controller for not initially working plug and play. Emulators are hardly plug and play for good high end results anyways.

I'll start out by saying that i've been a gamer for most of my life and have used the controllers of almost all the consoles. As far as android controllers though I first started with the moga hero power back in 2013 when it was 60 bucks ( can be had for half that now). Ill be comparing this controller to that one. As of writing this review the Beboncool is 25.99 and the moga hero power is 28.99 Design and build quality It is portable just like the hero power except the arm sits closer to the controller itself so the whole thing assembled does not feel top heavy at all where as the hero sits further away from the controller and it does feel top heavy. The plastic shell of the controller does feel cheap unlike the hero power which feels higher quality but I dont get the feeling that its going to break easily or anything. Joystick and buttons Moga hero power has these little joysticks that are like a hybrid of a ps3 joystick and a psp nub. not the greatest but it gets the job done. Beboncool on the other hand has fullsized xbox360 like joysticks. They feel great and similar to playing an xbox360. Dpad on the hero power is stiff, closer to what it felt like on a NES where as the Dpad on the Beboncool is spongy, not the biggest fan of it works exactly like it should and i have had no issues with it. Buttons on the moga hero are comfortable but small, similar to the buttons on a GBASP where the buttons on the Beboncool are normal sized and rounded. They are not comfortable to play for hours but this one is meant to be portable so I probably wouldn't be gaming long on this anyway. L1 R1 on both controllers are good and I have nothing bad to say about them. R2/L2 on the moga is spongy and doesn't register on alot of emulators. On the beboncool they are located behind the controller which was done to save space. I get why they couldnt put it at the top where they normally go since that would mean your phone would have to be further away to give you space for it but that would make this feel topheavy so im fine with the placement. They never got on the way during gameplay and I don't accidentally push them while using a regular grip on the controller. If you play a game that makes you press on those buttons alot instead of holding them down i would consider remapping them . Battery life This comes with a 300mah battery that will last you about 8 hours. It also charges up really quickly within an hour. Moga Hero comes with a 1800mah battery and moga boost which will charge your phone until the controller is left with 25% battery. This feature was nice in 2013 when phones only had 1500mah batteries and did not require much amps to charge. But its 2018 now and most phones have batteries around 3000mah, its charging current its 0.5A so i wouldnt expect your phone to charge at all while gaming, maybe it will just slow your phone discharge rate. Now that powerbanks are a thing moga boost is useless, then you'd also have that wire dangling. Overall: I think the beboncool is the best portable controller out there today. Better than the Moga hero, better than the Wee controller floating around. Not as good as a ps4 controller with a clip but then again those are really clunky and not portable at all. EDIT UPDATE 12/14/2018 Had an issue with the left and right joysticks most likely due to user error since this thing was in my pocket during traveling and the sticks would rub with my pocket and there would be stick drift. I emailed Beboncool and had the pleasure of dealing with Sally and explained the situation and she sent me a brand new blue controller for a replacement. Tested out this controller with an emulator playing half minute hero for an hour and it was working as flawless as my red one when it was new. Thanks again Beboncool, excellent customer support.

Really great controller played it on honkai impact 3rd with the octopus app and it simply works amazingly. There's not much support for games that don't support a gamepad unless u know how to root your device ..... so unless u plan to play the supported games ur out of luck. The octopus app currently does not work with Google play. It is the only app that works without rooting, if u log into any game through Google play u won't be able to use the overlay on top of any game u wish to play without starting another account so keep that in mind. Edit: with honkai u can just merge your account with mihoyo and it overrides this problem and I just logg in through mihoyo now, same account with no problems. Edit: so after around half a year my "A" button stopped pressing down. I opened it up and the little pad that goes underneath it came off. I messaged the seller through Amazon to see if I could get that certain piece delivered but instead they offered me a brand new controller! Turns out it has a three year warranty so they just sent me a new one and I didn't even have to mail the one I had back. Truly great customer service on their end and I'm completely satisfied on how quickly it arrived. All in all great customer service and I would buy from them again 10/10!
