German Shedder approved!

My German Shepherd sheds like crazy and this has helped keep it under control! I can almost make a whole other dog when I'm done! Nice sturdy quality even though he liked to chew on it after I'm done.

Great brush for deshedding cats!

I've been very impressed by this little brush so far! I was getting desperate... we have 3 cats that shed CONSTANTLY and an 8 month old baby who was crawling around through cat hair tumbleweeds all across our wood floors. Not pretty, and was making me feel guilty that he was going to start hacking up hairballs himself from being down there with all that fur all the time, lol! I was going to get a Furminator since my mother-in-law has one of them and loves it... however, they are kind of spendy, and this seemed very similar and had great reviews so I figured I'd give it a try. As you can see for yourself in the picture, it got a MASSIVE amount of fur off my cats- the pile in the picture is from one brushing each on our 3 cats. It really seems to get the stuff from their undercoat that my old brushes wasn't touching, too. It's only been two days or so and we just got around to vacuuming the house today finally, so I haven't gotten to see if there's a huge difference in the number of cat hair tumbleweeds cruising across our floors, but I can't imagine that it won't be less after seeing that huge pile of fur! Oh, and this didn't matter as much to me since I was going to brush those darn cats whether they wanted it or not since I bought it to make my life easier and my baby's a little less furry lol, but they all LOVED getting brushed with this. I was a little skeptical that they would like it as much as the other reviewers had said since it's metal and I thought could potentially be less comfortable than other brushes, but the other reviewers spoke the truth. Cats love this brush! Overall, a very happy experience for everyone, I'd highly recommend :)

Lifesaver

I live in an apartment with a husky-lab mix. We try to brush him with this every night, and it's amazing how much hair continues to come off. He has sensitive skin but hasn't had any problems with this brush being irritating. Don't get me wrong, he still sheds like crazy, but I can't begin to imagine how much more he would shed without this brush. This brush has been a lifesaver.

I bought this after seeing all the great reviews on here, as well as the offer for your money back if it didn't work. I have never spent this much on an animal brush, but i am extremely happy with the outcome. The fur picture is: the two smaller balls of fur are two separate brushings from my old brush. The top bundle is ONE brushing with this new one. It has way more under coat fur than the old one ever got out. And the fur didn't fly everywhere while brushing like my old one. My cat also let me brush her longer with this brush than with the old one. AND, she didn't really let me get her right side that time. I can just imagine how much bigger the pike would have been otherwise. I brushed her again 3 days later and got just as big of a bundle as the picture. This thing works great. After reading the bad reviews, i was very gentle with the pressure on the brush, and didn't brush the same spot too many times. I had no issues with her getting bald spots. Also, yes i had to clean the brush every 2-3 strokes... but it was well worth it for how well this thing works. I've already convinced a friend to get it for her Himalayan cat, who has WAY more fur than mine. I recommend this product whole- heartedly.

YES. This is what I needed. My cats have been shedding like crazy and those regular wire brushes hardly get the surface stuff. Look at my photo! This brush got an entire cat amount of fur off of my cat!

My husband despises cat hair! He has lint brushes all over the house and in each of our vehicles. Needless to say as soon as he sits down to read the newspaper after work our cat will jump up onto his lap and roll all over him. She is very forcefully affectionate. Until I purchased this shedding brush he has always confined his petting to the top of the cat's head and her chin. Now he gives her the full length body rub lol. In addition to removing enough hair to overcome my husband's hair phobia, Melody LOVES this brush! She is always wanting to get brushed as soon as I sit down on our enclosed porch. I don't even have to hold her to brush her. She walks by my legs long enough for me to do her back and sides and then when she's ready she rolls over to have her belly done. I'm going to pack up all the other brushes I have bought for her and donate them to the SPCA because this is the only brush I will need for her now.

Awesome Brush

I'm so very very happy I bought this brush, we have a English Bull Dog and add you know they have short hair so you would think they don't shed much but they do, oh my gosh do they shed. I bought this brush in the hopes to help w the shedding and bout did it help. As soon as I got it I put it together (very easy) got Rascal and started brushing him. I had brushed him the night before w another good brush but this one of my goodness I kept having to empty it because it filled up do fast. I used it till I wasn't having to pull hair any more from the brush but it took care of the extra hair that sheds and it really worked so well in Rascal and he couldn't figure it out but seemed to enjoy the brushing and I was so happy if how well it did w getting rid of the extra hair. If your looking for a brush to get that extra hair of to help so the shedding I can tell you for us this one worked perfect and I would give it 10 out of 10 stars for this product,i was very pleased and will watch for other products that u could buy from this company

I can now sit on my floor in black and not worry about looking like I'd just been hugged by the worst shedding bigfoot ...

So I don't have a shedding dog or cat. What I DO have is a rug that, despite owning it for almost 9 months, continues to create dustbunnies larger than you've ever seen with the loose fibers that continually come off. I ordered this as a last resort in the hopes that I won't have to keep lint rolling every article of clothing I own that even touches my floor. Let me tell you, it WORKS. Within a few minutes of passing this through my rug, I had collected a sizable ball of rug shed. By the time I was done, I had filled a plastic bag and my rug looked brand new. I can now sit on my floor in black and not worry about looking like I'd just been hugged by the worst shedding bigfoot you've ever seen as soon as I get up. Will be recommending this to everyone I know with shedding rug problems!!! And I'm sure it actually works on animals too....

Works great with a gentle touch

The picture I've attached to this review shows how much hair came out of my cat from just one stroke of this brush. This cat is not a sheddy cat, has very short, slick fur, and I think that is more hair than I have ever gotten off him in all the times I've ever brushed him with a traditional brush. One stroke. I actually bought this for a different cat who has issues grooming yourself. Her hair is long and thick, and I'm amazed at how much fur has been combed out of her in the few minutes she sat still. Of my three cats, only one seems to like it, one seems indifferent, and the third is completely annoyed by it, but she doesn't like brushing at all. This thing definitely requires a gentle touch, and the metal prongs, which I'm hoping means it will last a long time, are very close together and could easily cause scrapes or pain if used with any force. Still, for the amount of hair it easily removes, I think this is a great brush, best I've ever used.

Wonderful Brush

I love my Chirpy Pets Cat & Dog Brush (CPB). I had tried the Furminator a few years back but didn't like it & sent it back. I was dubious to try another shedding brush but have a cat who really needs to lose some underlying fur. The CPB was a good price & the reviews were mostly positive, so I decided to give it a try. It works wonderfully on the cat in need of de-fuzzing (a short-haired cat), as well as my long-haired cat, & my long-haired Dachshund. Love this brush. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good shedding tool. The cat that needs to lose some undercoat (I've not seen so much fur on a cat before) doesn't like to be brushed. She was just as fussy with this brush at first, but after a few tries she now lies on my lap and enjoys a nice long brushing. I've brushed so much fur off her & she still has a ton more to go. I love this little brush. The company is also Johnny On The Spot. They contacted me before I received it to let me know to contact them if there were any issues with the product. Then after to make sure I was happy & to find out what I thought. They are apparently a new small company who with proactive service like this will hopefully go far. Good for you Chirpy Pets. You have a wonderful product. Update - Be careful when brushing, this will cause bare spots, so don't apply pressure or brush same area for too long.
