These were not used as children’s bath toys, but they worked beautifully for my purpose. I created a scavenger hunt for my high school students. I drew arrows on two of the cogs, and they could turn one for the clue and the arrow would point to the answer. It worked perfectly for that! In terms of a child’s bath toy, I’ll give my best information. It stuck VERY well to my whiteboard, so I imagine it would stick well to a clean shower wall. My students were spinning them with their hands, and they moved freely, but based on the shape of the gear that is designed to hold water and move, I understand the primary complaint of it not working well for that purpose. I think it would be wonderful for a busy board for little ones, but probably not ideal for its intended purpose.

I've been truly happy with everything I've bought from Boon. All their products are high quality, durable, functional, and colorful (important for little kiddos!). I bought these for my grandson for his 2nd birthday, and he just loves them! I also bought a set of the pipes made to go with them, and together, they make a wonderful bath time toy. We have a hard time prying the grandson out of the bathtub. They are washable if you want to use them with sand instead of water. They will last practically forever with decent treatment...might not hold up too well to vigorous, repeated chewing (aka teething), but otherwise are a very nice product.

These are great fun for the tub. Kid likes them so much that kid doesn't want to be done with bath, which is kind of a good problem. Even parents have fun playing with these. These were bigger than I thought, but that's great for small hands. I'm a little worried about them growing mold/mildew after a while, but we make sure to shake them out well and put them in a mesh holder to dry. They should be scrubbed with hot soapy water and soaked in a vinegar solution periodically.

I gave these to my middle grandson for his birthday back in 2016. I always felt guilty for not leaving a review because these ARE GREAT!! They're still being played with, now by a 3rd grandson as well. I've never found anything with suction cups that held on as well as these gears do. I wish the GPS people would use these suction cups! They hold on tight then pull off with a satisfying POP!, which is part of the fun. And the little boys can't even pull them off by themselves yet - that's how strong they are. The gears intermesh, which is fun. The middle boy lines them up and watches the cogs turn and is very proud of his "invention". So yes, I strongly recommend.

My 14 month old (and 31 year old husband) love these gears. They suction really well to the sides of the tub and have a little pull tab so it’s easy to get off. My 14 mo can’t pull them off on his own unless he breaks the suction using his fingers- but that takes a lot of determination. The gears all fit together really easily and spin in unison easily. When my son takes showers, we stick them to the glass door and he loves that, too. They won’t stick on tile, but also will work on a stainless steel fridge- they definitely don’t have to be limited to the bath!

These are good fun for bath time. The water wheel works well if you can position it under the tub spout, or just give your little one a cup to pour over it. Just don't leave them stuck on the tub walls overnight, or they'll fall off at 2AM and scare the living bejeezus out of you.

(Please note pipes in photo we’re purchased separately) My 3 yr old loves these toys. So far it’s been great. Suction on these seem to hold ok but not fantastically. They tend to fall after a bit, but they do last a whole bath time when I apply a lot of pressure. They stick better to the tub than the tiled wall. My kid doesn’t care though, she loves it. Have only had these a week though so I can’t speak on any mold issues yet.

They actually stick REALLY well. Even my 2 year old doesn't have issues getting these to stick to the wall once wet. He has fun getting them to spin either with water or by hand. I also got the pipes & tubes sets to go with, they work pretty well, so better than others. But the kids (2y & 5.5y) have fun making trails and such, so I'm not complaining

My two year old loves these. We have a porcelain tub and tile walls and they stick really well, except in the tile grout. If you get these in combination with the Boon Building Bath Pipe Toy, know that the water out of one of the pipes can turn the pink/purple water-wheel, unless it is connect to another gear. Also, my two year old like the gears better than the pipes, she mostly just uses the pipes to pour water on the gears.
