3x seemed great for me and others and the quality appears fine ...

Purchased this for my 92yo father-in-law as a trial for reading the paper. 3x seemed great for me and others and the quality appears fine but magnification wasn't high enough for him. Wish it came in a 5x and 10x version.

Great magnifier!

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law who is suffering from the onset of macular degeneration and has trouble reading smaller print. She LOVES it! It is large and rectangular, conforming to the dimensions of the things she is reading much better than the traditional round magnifiers. And the side handle makes it easy and comfortable to hold while reading. We highly recommend this product.

We love it !

It happens to all of us. When you hit a certain age your vision is not what it used to be. Even your reading glasses may not be strong enough to read the tiny print on medication and other common items you use every day. This large magnifying glass is perfect for those tiny print instructions. I use it all the time and so does my husband. We love it !

A well designed and manufactured product for a fair price!

Monday, Feb.27 I purchased it for a 85 year old widow who attends a weekly Bible study I teach. She tries using her late husband's study Bible which is wonderful. However, it is printed with a very small (8 & 10) font, which creates lots of trouble for her. I did inspect the magnifying grass when it arrived the other day and noticed three things about it: 1.) The width and depth of field seemed quite good when reading a small print, columned Bible. 2.) The handle is positioned well, and it is not too heavy or awkward to hold. [great for older folks!] 3.) Although this is a gift, and therefore, price was not of particular concern to me; I think you have priced it well. Finally, after evaluating magnifying glasses that contain lights (and batteries!), I concluded they are a waste of money due to added weight for an old person to hold, and also, when used in normal lighted areas (rooms), one does not need any extra light. Plus, the 3X glass makes printed fonts appear to be 14 - 16 point - easily read by an elderly person. I will give it to her this evening at Bible study, the acid test! I think she will like it, too.

Had one for years!

Have had this item for years previously and lost it in a move. Had to get another so ‘‘this is perfect for me. Particularly convenient when reading books, magazines and newspapers. Ideal for me when reading off my I phone. Perfect size,shape and magnification. AND great buy!

I love this light weight Magnifying Glass

I love this light weight Magnifying Glass, I made a place for it on the side of my computer Desk by screwing in two hooks then I put rubber bands on the hooks. Awesome!

Works Great

I love this magnifying glass. I had started using a round one that I have to read and had nothing except frustration with that. This one shows a fairly large area of the page without distortion at the edges. I am 81 and can hold this with my hand getting a little tired at times, but by resting my hand and eyes a little I'm ready to go again. I had almost given up reading which I love until I got this really good magnifying glass.

This is the best magnifying glass i have bought yet. I saw a few bad reviews. But ordered it anyway. This product is as stated. I think some of the bad reviews may be referring to a different product. The magnifying glass is 100% clear & is 3x. Size is approximately 4 1/2 inches by 2 1/2. As stated. I was so happy with this product i ordered another one to put in a different room. Both magnifying glass are great.

Big enough to use with ease

My friend is constantly staring at small print as a job requirement. I decided to get him one of these and one for his mother. The handle is sturdy and easy to grip for those with arthritis. The magnifying area is a good size-making it easy to see, but not too big as to be awkward with different sizes of reading material. Brilliantly made!

Nice magnifier

Slowly deteriorating near-vision (past due for eye exam) means I've lately been using a 3.25" round mag glass to read medicine labels and the like. This rectangular glass is much nicer -- the wide field of view reminds me of my upgrade to HDTV way back when! Light-weight because lens is acrylic, but optical quality is excellent. Frame looks sturdy enough. Price is fair. Works well for me.
