I bought the Blue Yeti mic a few weeks ago, but I noticed that it was picking up a lot of background noise and had issues with "plosive" sounds. I'm new to audio, so I didn't know how bad those could be without a windscreen. This windscreen does an amazing job the quality of my recordings have improved tremendously and are giving me a very clear and isolated voice. Thanks for making this great product so inexpensive!

I decided to go with this foam windscreen instead of a pop filter for my Blue Yeti Whiteout edition, and I can safely say it sounds great! Blue Yeti owners know how sensitive the mic is, and this helps reduce background noise plus the "t" and "p" popping. Since I don't have a pop filter I can't really compare it to one, but my recordings sound good enough that I don't feel the need to get one. I've had it for a few months and the fit still remains snug. If you look closely at my picture, you can probably see dried spit and cat hair. Since you're covering the mic, it will protect it from you and cats. This will probably last as long as my Blue Yeti and is a great way to enhance your recordings.

My son loves to play online games with voice. I'm also a youtuber who needs to record my voice in my vid. The problem with cheap mics is that there are no windscreen or pop filter available for them. So, I finally bought a Blue Yeti mic, but did not want to or feel the need to add a pop filter for what I do(pop filter takes up too much extra desk space), so I bought this windscreen, which does a great job at reducing the pop tremendously and especially for the price, it's a great add on, in-order to get a much better recording. I'm very finicky and like to compare products and I think this is one of the best windscreen available. Yes, a pop filter is better, but cost more and takes up too much extra room. Pros: - Cost effective. - Less desk hogging space, compared to a pop filter. - Good quality material. - Easy to install (it is made of foam, just becareful while installing, so not to rip it, if you do, it's your own fault, not the product) - Does help keep the pop down quite a bit. - Perfect fit for the Blue Yeti mic. - I've tried several different windscreen, this is one of the best. Cons: - Non that I can think of so far. Conclusion: - Great product at a great price. Extra Note: - See attached pics of the VocalBeat windscreen attached to the Blue Yeti perfectly.

Fits just right on my Blue Yeti. Not only does it keep my mic clean, but also I've noticed a sharper sound quality. I do have Auphonix filter on as well but it doesn't hurt to have them both. I definitely recommend this product for anyone who owns a Blue Yeti.

This was my third windscreen/mic cover purchase for my Blue Yeti; the exact pop filters I tried before are listed below. This item is much more attractive, compact, and functional than both those gaudy and over-sized disk-shaped pop filters with the bendy arms that get screw-clamped onto the microphone arm (Neewer NW(B-3) 6 inch Studio Microphone Mic Round Shape Pop Filter) and the multi-layer semi-cylinder pop filters that are held in-place by elastic bands (Sywon Metal Mesh and Foam Layer Mic Cover). I had no issues applying the foam cover, though some have reported tearing theirs. I just breathed a warm, moist breath into the foam to make it pliable before application (which had a debatable degree of impact) and applied it by cupping it in my hand and massaged it down onto the Blue Yeti as though I were giving it a noogie. This does a better job than the other pop filter options of blocking out ambient noise and errant keystrokes that I don't want captured by the mic. It's also more compact so I can more easily maneuver the microphone and boom-arm assembly out of the way during non-use. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the old pop filters since I'm never going back...

In the question section below the company stated that this does not work for the Nano. It's probably an attempt to upsell on a Nano foam windscreen. In fact I thought to myself, "What are the chances that this would not work on a Nano?" I mean the mic size appears to be the same. I took my chances and purchased it for my Nano. This and a crane arm are the best assessories for my Nano. I love it. I went a few weeks without this thing. I mainly like it for protection (e.g., preventing dust from getting into the mic), however it also helps with harsh "p" sounds when speaking directly into the mic. This foam windscreen is excellent. I just wish it wasn't misleading by saying that it does not work on the Nano.

I use to have a pop filter for my Blue Yeti mic but it really did not work well and the mic was still picking up a considerable amount of background noise. So i went shopping around and fishing the internet to find some answers and found out how much better foam covers work. After a few hours on Amazon I found this one and I am super satisfied with it. I have already recorded two videos for product reviews on my Youtube Channel and its awesome! The sound is clear and blocks a lot of background noise. Thumbs up for this one. Also I had so fitting issues when putting this on my Blue Yeti unlike some others that posted reviews here.

Huge improvement for my Yeti. Don't man handle it though. Gently work the foam onto the mic and if a little excess is poking up, it's fine. Most things rip because of how rough and person was with it. Cup it in your hand and twist. It's real simple. Just to tell you how great it drowns out background noises, I was recording and my dog started barking in the next room. You couldn't hear her in the video. That's really impressive, because she is insanely loud.

I put the windscreen on my blackout blue yeti USB mic by only applying pushing pressure at the top (no pulling motions). I noticed that it does not go all the way down, and still has space on top. Please see photos attached for current results. The windscreen comes flattened in the packaging, and seemed to have a small rectangular imprint on one half (also pictured). I've emailed VocalBeat to ask for advice on the best way to put on the windscreen so that it covers the entire microphone, without damaging the windscreen. Will update review upon their reply. This is my first microphone and windscreen, so I'm still learning about how to use and maintain the equipment. (: I bought them together recently. ======= Update from 4 to 5 stars. VocalBeat replied to my email in less than 20 minutes, and I was successfully able to make my windscreen cover the entire mic without any rips or damage. See their instructions below. "The best way we recommend to install the windscreen is to hold the foam in the palm of your hand and then apply it on the microphone in a circular motion like a screw until it is all the way down, applying the force from the top. please try and avoid pinching the foam and pull[ing] down from the sides, as this can potentially rip small pieces off." I did this circular screw motion back and forth a few times. Now the windscreen fits snugly, with small pockets of air at the top that I assume to be normal. As for the odd shape that some reviewers commended on, I fixed this minor aesthetic issue by rotating the windscreen so that the crease points are on the left/right side, instead of the front/back sides of the mic. =======
