My 7-year old Yellow Lab Brian is highly allergic to a number of common foods such as rice, poultry, and lamb. Figuring out his allergens has been a long and tedious process. Brian's allergies manifest themselves as itchiness and skin flaking – which cause him to scratch incessantly. The scratching leads to irritation and pink skin. His doctor diagnosed the condition as yeast overgrowth and fungal infection; he prescribed a Ketoconazole shampoo. While that solution showed promise, it was impractical since dogs can't be bathed daily – not this dog anyway. After much research, I found PET MD CHLORHEXIDINE ANTISEPTIC WIPES on Amazon. After 4 days of twice daily application, Brian showed immediate improvement. The absence of itchiness allowed his skin to heal and his coat to grow back to normal. I use PET MD CHLORHEXIDINE ANTISEPTIC WIPES along with an Rx topical steroid cream for even better results. Pet MD is US-made and has done wonders for Brian.

My dog, a German Shepherd, had been gnawing at her rear legs over a period of time and I thought it was just itchy from environment allergies, so I treated her with Benadryl as the vet said. However, the benadryl did not seem to curb her gnawing, so using my Internet searching skills, discovered that it was a yeast infection that was causing her to bite the itch and also stain her fur around the paws a darker brown. Don't forget the "fritos" smell that is caused from a yeast infection (thanks internet) After taking her to the vet, yet again, we started her on a more aggressive (and relatively expensive) approach to treating her. In conjunction with her other medicines, I wipe in between her paws where the yeast has been growing merrily, and wipe off flakes of dark brown crusts. I also give her paws a mild soak in white vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and warm water. She no longer chews her paws and seems to be recovering quite nicely!

I like these wipes better than the Douxo brand - these wipes are thinner & more wet, perfect for my intended usage. I'm using them for my girl Pug's juvenile vulvar area (meaning her vulva never descended as she aged & it's inside a little loose fold of skin). She had a horrible UTI & it cost almost $4000 to clear it up. No antibiotic worked (tried 4), so after 3 urine cultures showing antibiotic-resistant bacteria of all kinds, my vet brought out the big guns & that super strong antibiotic caused her to go into renal failure. She really needs a hoo-hoo lift (to get rid of the pocket of skin her vulva is residing in), but she's not a good candidate for surgery due to lung issues. I got these wipes as a last resort, thinking that I could wipe that whole area every night & hoping - PRAYING - that they would keep the area clean of bacteria & yeast. Well, so far, they are working fabulously! I've had her urine tested 3x since the "incident" & these are keeping her UTI free! I'm so grateful, because we thought we were going to lose her & I don't know that she'd live through another bout of that. These wipes are thin, perfectly wet, pleasingly scented & do EXACTLY what they say they are going to do. With 50 in the jar, they are a better deal than the Douxo brand as well. I have cuts all over my hands & these do NOT sting my raw skin, so I know they aren't uncomfortable for her sensitive area. I've used them on my Frenchie's face folds, too. They don't bother the skin at all & clear up any redness or irritation fast. ****Update 8/26/2017: Still UTI free so far, only thing I've added is Cranberry D-Mannose Urinary Support found here on Amazon (follow this link: https://www.amazon.com/Cranberry-DMannose-Urinary-Tract-Support/dp/B00FPZFNBQ/ref=sr_1_11?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1503802959&sr=1-11&keywords=cranberry+supplement+for+dogs), as the D-Mannose changes the lining of the bladder, not allowing the bacteria to embed into the bladder wall. I hope this helps anyone who is in the same boat I was!****

My cat had the WORST cat acne on his chin--I'm talking totally black with blood crusts and it had even migrated some to around his nose and eyes. After two weeks of using this twice a day, it has completely resolved! I am going to be buying again just for maintenance treatment since I never want him to deal with that kind of irritating skin condition again.

My Chihuahua gets these blebs on her ears that open and get infected. Vet precscribed chlorhexadine to cleanse then an ointment--it only worked marginally. I tried Bacitracin and Hydrocortisone cream after cleansing with Hibiclens--worked better. Then I got these wipes which have the hexaxhloradine plus the ketoconozole antifungal. Voila!! Ears started to clear up miraculously. I used them twice daily for about 3 days then once daily till lesions gone. And no greasy ears. They're thin medicated pads--just take one out of jar and use. The med is reddish tea colored but goes on clear. I love them. Will keep some for my personal use😉

My poor dog is allergic to grass. Every year we go through 80 days of prednisone, and an antibiotic shot. Despite the prednisone, he still licks his feet and scratches his tummy against the floor. I believe he gets a fungus from the grass mold. He scratches his back against my feet. He constantly does this. I don't mind feet petting him, but he was itchy. I got on Amazon to look for medicated wipes. I read the ingredients and knew this was the one. I received it yesterday before noon, ordered it Friday. The wipes are little but they have plenty of medication to cover my medium sized dog. They have a pleasant smell. I applied it to his back and tummy, and a little on his legs and feet. I washed my hands after applying. I watched him. Finally he was able to stop itching and he never started itching after that. Today he's not itching at all. When he starts, I'll apply one of these wipes. This is exactly what he needs. These wipes work better than anything I've tried. The main ingredients are anti fungal/anti itch but better than cortisone cream. For the life of me I couldn't find anything that worked at the known pet supply store. I will keep these on hand. Thankyou, and thanks from my dog.

Exactly the same as my vet prescribed but at a better price. Use them to routinely clean paws, ears and jowls as well as any small scratches he may get. These were prescribed for a hotspot along with an antibiotic cream and cleared it up within a few days.

My dog was constantly licking her paws, leaving them bald, sore looking and inflamed. I tried many other solutions that didn't work including items prescribed by our vet. Out of desperation I ordered this product after reading reviews. After using this product on my dog 2 or 3 times, the problem was solved. No more licking, the hair has grown back and her paws are back to normal. I wish I had known about this sooner, but very happy that I have it now and my dog's paws aren't irritating her anymore.

I'm very happy with these wipes. Our three cats seem to get into everything imaginable. How, I don't know, because their only access to the great outdoors is in a fully enclosed kennel. At first, the tiny container gave me paws. (See what I did there?) I was used to buying a bigger soft-sided bag of "medicated" wipes from the pet store. These also don't have much of an odor. That's probably good because it doesn't seem to bother the cats one bit. A while back a vet had suggested that we use those round acne pads that come in a jar like we used as teenagers on the cats. That didn't go well -- cats couldn's stand the fumes. Neither could I. Although the "wipes" aren't large and aren't dripping wet, they really are all you need. I have seen tremendous improvement in chin acne in our two boys. (Where do they get it? Sign.) They don't seem to care when I wipe their furry mugs with these either. I get a dirty look, like "wipe your own mug, ma!" and they're gone. I have also used these to clean the outer ear area of our Savannah cat. He has such big ears that he'll roll around in outside and collect....stuff. Ewwwww. It didn't make sense to give him a whole ear cleaning with drops every time, but just gentle soap on a washcloth wasn't making the grade. These are perfect. The pads have just enough texture that I get the ear clean in two swipes, and they're thick enough that I can use one side per ear. Yes, I'm cheap but these pads were not so you do what you can. The only other thing I've used these for is to cleanse a few tiny "after the cat brawl" scrapes. Only once have our cats developed any infection from these. Before that, I let those wounds heal on their own with no intervention on my part. A three-figure vet bill later, I am more attentive. I'll buy these again soon -- I only have a five or six left. Recommended without reservations.

Love the smell! I bought these as a cheaper alternative. The ones at my vet were 2x more. I have a pug with chronic, or should I say, used to have chronic skin infections. I use these every other day to wipe her face folds, paws, and groin area in between baths.
