IT PRINTS MULTIPLE ENVELOPES! Brother says 3, but you can safely feed as many as 8 regular or 6 thicker foil-lined envelopes. I had a list of 1000 (yes, one thousand) thick, gold foil-lined envelopes (A9, 5.75" x 8.75") to print. I fed up to 6 envelopes at a time. It printed them quickly, I fed more. If I was quick enough, I could replenish a few dozens before it paused asking for more envelopes. All in all, it took me 2-3 hours to print 1000 envelopes. It's a BIG IMPROVEMENT, considering that previously it took 6-8 hours (different printer) by feeding them one at a time.

I am not sure what person decided to ever make a printer that did not hold an ENTIRE ream of paper, but whoever that was, is a jerk. I am glad that they finally put together the fact that a tray that would fit an entire ream of paper is a good idea. This Brother printer series has been wonderful for me and my office. I am a small-town Attorney and as a result, I go through more paper than is "the recommended daily allowance," but these Brother Printers have withheld some serious wear and tear (and liquids). You will not be disappointed ... unless you drop way more liquid in the printer than a 1/2 full Mountain Dew can. No promises after that!

The print is very sharp and clear. There is a short delay before the first sheet appears, but after that it spits out pages very quickly. I like the large-capacity paper trays. This makes it sit higher than my old LaserJet that had only 250-sheet trays, but it's fine when placed on a regular printer stand. I use a wired network connection, but wireless and USB connections are available as well, although no USB cable is included with the printer. I had it printing from LibreOffice on Manjaro Linux within a short while. I had to install the driver first. Summary of features: This is a monochrome laser printer: it prints black only, using a cartridge containing toner powder, which does not "dry out." It is not a multifunction device: it does not scan or copy or fax. The maximum paper size is 8.5" x 14.0" (US Legal). Both of the standard (included) trays can be extended to accommodate paper that size. It cannot use Tabloid or A3 paper. It includes the drum (estimated life of 30,000 pages, depending on the density of the print on the page) and the lowest-capacity of the cartridges that Brother offers for this model (estimated life of 3,000 pages, depending on the density of the print on the page); it is not a "starter cartridge": it is a regular cartridge but not one of the higher-capacity ones that Brother sells. The "Amazon Dash" feature (automatic reordering of genuine Brother toner cartridges, at a 10% discount, when the printer signals that the toner is low) is available but not automatic: you have to sign up for it. I don't see genuine Brother cartridges cheaper anywhere else, so I don't know why you wouldn't sign up. It's possible to add two 250-sheet trays (LT-5500) or one 520-sheet tray (LT-6500) to the HL-L6200DWT, which already comes with two 520-sheet trays. Once you have "told" the printer what size paper is in which tray, the tray selection should be automatic depending on the page size selected in your software. The Linux support packages (.rpm and .deb) are on the Brother Web site.

Great printer. I have it connected to my home network, and we can all print easily from anywhere in the house or property. The brother iPrint app is a bit slow to load documents on our android phones, but is a great timesaver over resending documents to an email address, and then going to the computer to download and print off. Other reviewers mentioned a grainy effect. I noticed this, but it evidently is related to the break-in process for the drum. The grainy effect completely resolved on its own within the first 20-25 sheets. Now the print is crystal sharp black with clean sharp edges. Don't let this complaint deter you from this printer.

I've been making due with old used HP LaserJets which work great but finding good toners that don't cost a fortune is a pain. My brother has had a little Brother laser for many years and had no problems and my JetDirect card died so along with the expensive toners I decided to jump ship from HP and switch to Brother. I have been extremely happy with this printer. It prints a lot faster, warms up a lot faster and has built in networking so it can stay quietly out of place in our closet. Being able to duplex if we want is also very nice for such a low price.

I've only used this for a week in my law practice. It is considerably faster and with better text quality than my old HP P2055dn. it prints pdfs on my Mac quickly and with no issues. For some printers, pdfs take an age on a Mac, where a Word document prints just fine. No rhyme nor reason. The Brother is a bit loud during printing, but I noticed that for about the first 15 minutes. Now I don't hear it at all.

This printer is a workhorse and prints extremely fast. It was simple to hook into the computer and Internet also. The printed copies are exceptional. I am a Notary who prints 2 sets of loan packages per client for a total of 44 sets per month. Each set is approx 150 pages. This printer makes my job easier.

Printer would automatically print on tray 2, which is legal for me, when tray 1 which is letter ran out. As a business this is bad. Sales told me this is just the printer. So, Brother Technical Support just called me, they called me!! That is unheard of. Anyways, a setting on the printer itself called auto-continue is on by default. It must be off to stop the paper from automatically switching to legal when our of letter. Thank you Brother!!!!

When my primary work printer (an HP m604n laserjet) developed an issue with the feeding tray on the front, I decided to try this as a secondary printer while I send the HP off to be repaired. Both printers have very similar specifications. This Brother prints at 48 ppm and the HP prints at 52 ppm. Both hold just over 500 sheets in the main tray. Both are wireless enterprise printers. Both can take high yield cartridges. However, the HP costs $750+ compared to this Brother that I snagged on Amazon for $174! Not to mention the replacement high yield toner is significantly cheaper than the HP ($122 for the 12,000 yield brother while the HP 10,000 yield 81A cartridge is like $190). The first print did leave a crease/wrinkle in the page. So, I was thinking I got a lemon after looking at some of the other reviews. I opened the machine up and inspected everything and tried again and haven't had a creased page print since (now at about 500 pages in). Some reviews mention this being a power hungry printer and they are not wrong. When I click print, it dims my desk lamp for a split second! I am not sure why a printer requires such a power draw? It is not a dealbreaker to me though. All in all, this printer is an excellent value for the price. The print quality is almost identical to my HP and the print and initial print times are excellent. Would definitely buy again.

Love this printer. Work from home, got this as an upgrade to my old printer, when my old one stopped work. Don't know how I accomplished work prior to this. This printer is so fast, prints double sided and toner lasts a while (depending on your printing need). Multipurpose tray is awesome too. Envelopes are easy to print along with legal sized paper. I have the 2nd tray and love it. I often have to print a hundreds of pages at time. So the extra tray is awesome so that I don't have to keep refilling the paper constantly. I think I'm in love with this printer.
