Works well to enable use of both LED light and mic for video without blocking viewfinder access. Well made, finish not perfect but very functional and looks good.

Perfect Fit

I bought this to replace the Viltrox V bracket which I returned. In the Viltorx, the grooves for the shoe are too narrow and tight. The spacing of the grooves for this Neewer bracket is perfect. I use it on my Sony FDR-AX700.

Cheap but Effective

It's cheap, but it does what it's meant to do. Had a little trouble with the locking ring at first (super tight and needed to be loosened with a wrench the first time), but once it was released, the whole mount worked beautifully. This was purchased as a replacement from another brand's mount that had every slot bent so I couldn't actually use them.

Nifty little thing.

I have all this equipment to put in top of my DSLR and I can’t be buying a full on camera rig - I’m just not that cool yet. This was a better alternative for the price. It works well and seems to stay put - so far so good.

Very sturdy, the only part that's plastic is the piece that screws down to tighten it to your hotshoe. I use it for my neewer light and my Rode shotgun mic. It's a steal.

As always one of the best budget brands

Neewer never disappoints. My camera came with a cheap on that was a swing arm for under the camera but this shoe allows me to easily fit my mic and light on top while keeping the balance more centered and with knowledge of knowing the metal will always hold up.
