Life saver

This is a great product. I simply activated voice activation, put it in my pocket and have a great quality pick up of everything I say and that is said around me throughout the day. It's held up so far in a hands on rough and tumble job. The interface to my pc is great I just plug it in copy the files over and it's already dated and time should I need to go back to it. It definitely gives me a sense of security. It is also handy just to record random thoughts thru the day. Excellent quality, price and customer service. I was emailed full instructions on the use of it prior to its arrival which I feel was a nice touch from the makers in today's fast paced world. The size is perfect and the playback on the device it's self is high quality. Thank you

Reliable and light weight

I purchased it to record some presentations and it works well for me. It’s light weight and easy to operate. The quality of the recordings is good, so I am happy with the selection. Would definitely recommend the Recorder by Dictopro!

Two thums up

Slim & lightweight. I bought this item for my daughter to use for recording lectures at college. The device is very easy to use & has a good sound/record quality. I like the auto off feature, allowing for easy use for college students to switch between recording for different classes. Microphone range is about 15 to 20 feet (the furthest we've tried so far). Two thumbs up.

Great price and audio

The number one benefit is the affordable price. As a consultant who does brand research, I often record interviews. The clarity is amazing. I've "sold" two to colleagues who have observed me using the recorder. The downside is the poor translation to English of the directions. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it. Transfer to your PC is easy, however, finding the recordings isn't always. Despite the issues, I still recommend the player and its unbeatable price.

Again, I couldn’t get more than 10 seconds of recordings at a time, so I called Dictopro customer service, and their suggestion to click on factory reset, and system reset, and try again. It worked! Now records for the needed times to collect the wanted audio sessions. Months of success; that’s a good thingy. Even my Bulldogs bark for treats, sounds natural; And My yelling, “Get out of my face” was clear and natural also. 😏

This little recorder is awesome! It is very sensitive & clear & because of it's small size very easy to conceal. I thank you!!! This recorder really literally saved my life from a very dangerous narcissistic psychopathic brother that was threatening me. He was so cunning & covert that every time I called the police he would be so polite & cunning with his lies that they didn't believe me until I was able to record his threats with this recorder.I played the recordings for the judge in court to get him forcibly removed from my property. Then I made a YouTube video 'Rants of a Narcissistic Psychopath' from the recordings to warn all my neighbors & community about him.

Blown away.

A few days after I made this purchase, I received an email from the Owner of this company. He introduced himself and assured me that if at any time there were any problems with this Recorder, I should not hesitate to get in touch with him, all his contact information was available. Well, I was blown away, I had never been contacted by any company, none the less, The Owner. I was very impressed and even more so when I started to play around with the Recorder, which once I got it in my hands, I knew I had made the right purchase. It took me a few days to get used to the different features and settings. The instructions can be a bit confusing, but with patience and some basic Technical knowledge, you'll accomplish your goal. I am very happy with my Recorder. The workmanship, size, and sophisticated appearance is well worth the investment I made. Thank You, Dictopro.

Won't hold a charge

I wanted to like this recorder and I did initially but after a few months, it won't hold a charge at all making it useless. If you do get this, be sure to buy the insurance. I want to update my response. The company that makes the Dictopro saw my review 1st initial response on the same day I posted and responded giving suggestions on fixing the problem. I tried but the system was not coming on and we believe it was due to my over charging the unit (leaving the system on the charger). They came back in an email and said no problem - they are sending me a replacement! I didn't expect this, such a nice result! I give change my review to 5 stars. This is the type of service we rarely see any more. Thank you!

I like a lot of the features

I like a lot of the features, but one feature I did not check carefully BEFORE buying it was a REWIND feature. YOU CANNOT REWIND A RECORDED FILE! I just cannot find a reason why a simple but important feature like that is not included in the design. I already threw away some of the packing materials when I discovered this flaw. Shown above was my original review. The vendor emailed me to point out that THERE IS A FORWARD AND REVERSE function in this device. It's a little tricky, but it is functional. Therefore, I changed my two-star rating to FOUR STAR rating.
