It "floats" !
I bought this when I was working for a travel agency. The colors were very pretty and gave me something to look at on my night shift. If it gets touched or knocked off course, the globe can be a little difficult to get back into position as the magnet was pretty strong and it has to be in just the right place. I really enjoyed it and, with the exception of my coworkers messing with it all the time, it pretty much stayed in orbit.

This is Great!
This is awesome! My husband loves his little Globe. Easy to set up and really cool looking. It does stop spinning after about 20 mins. No need to touch it to get it going again. Just give it a blow and she's back to spinning. A great purchase and happy customer.

A little touch and go, but a good buy for a novelty gift.
Father in law enjoyed this, it's a bit touchy attempting to get the globe to float and takes a little work, but I can confirm it does hover, both with and without power. So if you don't want the light, it will hover fine without it. However, any slight jarring to the globe will cause the magnetic balance to force the globe to stick to the top.

A very cool conversation piece.
My 42 year old son had the time of his life getting the globe to get positioned just right. If you get the globe too close to the electro magnet it would be pulled up into it. But if you got it too far away it would drop. Being a 71 year old I soon ran out of patience and I usually have enough I could have been a doctor Ha Ha! Note: If or when you finally get it positioned just right don’t let anyone touch it or you risk the fate of destroying Mother Earth! (If it drops and hits a hard surface it could break!)

So far so good...
I just read some of the reviews and I've only had mines for about a day but..... I love it. I will see after a month if it's still going strong but for now it's so cute and I love globes and it's defn floating. It seems to take me some time to get it to meet the two magnetic fields but once I find it, it just floats away. So I guess so far I have to give it 5 stars.

Cool Purchase
I was a bit skeptical at first, I wasn't sure that it would work or concerned it wasn't durable and would break easily. Fortunately that wasn't true. The floating globe works like a charm! It was easy to set up, durable and sturdy, and most of all a cool piece to add to my desk. The LED lighting makes the item that much more cool. I have had the globe on my desk for the past 2 days and it is quite the conversation piece. Almost everyone that has come into my office has made a positive comment and taken a close look at it. Definitely worth the purchase for your desk or a colleague or loved one. Super happy with the product!

I Highly Recommend this as a gift
We purchased this as a Military Promotional gift . We were very pleased with it and it turns slowly consistently ... which is very cool. The base has rings that are lite all the time when plugged in. The only thing that could make this better would be if it has a small light inside to illuminate the globe to see the countries easier during the evening..

This is NOT hard to set up!
This little item is a fantastic focal point for my desk. I was hesitant about ordering it based upon the reviews regarding setting up the floating globe, but now I'm not sure what the problem is. Included in the package is a little foam piece that you use to slide between the top magnet and the globe. I'm clumsy as all get out and I can still set this up in under 5 seconds. In fact when I was to lazy to get the foam piece out of my desk drawer I just used my finger one day and that worked, although that did take about 3 tries to get it to catch right.
