Keep your marriage or single life odor and stress free
At first I was doubtful, since our apartment is located not far from the rubbish chute. But, if you have nosy neighbors and you don't want to wake them at night, the Playtex Baby Diaper Genie Refill - 270 ct - 3 pk - FFP comes in very handy, especially if your little one has an upset stomach. The Playtex Diaper Genie Complete Assembled Diaper Pail with Odor Lock Technology & 1 Full Size Refill, White (1 Pail and 1 Refill per Unit) is highly recommended for the first years of a toddler. It helps to have one in the house and nannies and grandma are also relieved about the easiness of dirty diaper disposal. This system is practical, easy to clean and the odor stays inside. It helps keep your marriage odor free. If you are a single parent looking for a date, please check out THE MANHATTAN DATING PROJECT and let us know, what you think.

Quality material for these refill bags.
These replacement packs work perfectly with my Diaper Genie. It's so nice to be able to buy these replacement bags in bulk online -- I have gone through 5 individual refills in the 7 months baby has been home. I have never had an issue with the bags leaking or tearing -- I appreciate the quality material when I'm carrying these bags of messy diapers out of my house! I appreciate how easy the refills are to open and place in the Diaper Genie as well.

Not willing to try the generic brands
I considered buying the generic brand of diaper genie refills, but the reviews weren't consistent and the price wasn't that different. I'm usually all for saving money with generic brands, but this isn't an area where I'm comfortable cutting corners (yuck!). I've yet to have an issue with the Playtex refills, so we'll continue buying these until our daughter is out of diapers sometime in the next year or two.

Why didn't I do this sooner.
We have our changing table in the guest room. That's where I have the TV and where I veg out. My wife came into the room a couple of months back. "OMG. This room stinks!" Guess I'd gotten used to it. We had the Safety 1st Easy Saver pail since my daughter was born 2 years before. I thought it worked ok, but my wife didn't agree. So, I bought this system. And don't know why I didn't do so sooner. No more smell. Wife is happy. I'm happy. The first two bag rings lasted us 48 days. Just put the 3rd ring in a few minutes ago, and ordered more. Because, even though this baby is almost out of diapers, we just found out last week we have another one on the way.

Diaper Genie pail, bags and filters a winning combo!
Diaper Genie pail, bags and filters a winning combo! I've already given 5 stars for the Diaper Genie Elite and the carbon filters. At 8 months we've just changed the filter once (I know you're supposed to do every 3 months but I always forget as there is no odor coming from the pail). Even now that the boy is eating a lot of solids and his poos are stinkier and more solid, we still have no smell escaping. The bags themselves are easy to change. I'm not sure about the claim of "up to 270 diapers". I guess "up to" can mean anywhere from 1 to 270. We change rolls about once per month, maybe a little more frequently than that. Amazon might not be the cheapest place to buy, although we have. We usually get at Costco, which sells a 4-pack which is a little cheaper per roll.

Don’t try to save money with off-brand, get these
I love saving money when possible if I don’t have to get the name brand. Do not do that with these! I got the Amazon ones and while the smell doesn’t come through the bag, the tension is wrong on the dispenser, a ton of bag is wasted because every time you shove a diaper in the genie more bag pulls out. I have never had that problem with these, they work perfectly and I am sure they are cheaper when you consider all of the bag you are not wasting. Also don’t believe the lies that you can use normal garbage bags in them. 1. It is a pain to put in, 2. It does NOT hold the smell in, 3. You can’t get the bag out once it’s full because the bag fills to the shape of the container and you can’t pull it through the opening at the top.

Grossest testament to the Diaper Genie
This is one of the grossest stories but is a testament to how well this product works. I am one who buys the environmentally friendly product most of the time but when our kid got to the stage of really stinky diapers, we couldn't take it and bought the Diaper Genie. After our kid was done with diapers, someone stashed the Genie in our garage to use for our next kid. Well about 2 years later, the next kid arrives and we pull the Genie out of the garage to dust off and use again. Guess what we found?! We found old diapers in it - not infested with bugs, not stinking outside the bag at all, and the bag was intact. They were in there for years and nobody noticed! Of course when we cut the bag off to throw it out, we were hit with quite the stench but it was remarkably contained all that time. We were very impressed and grossed out at the same time.

Beats the alternative!
While these are expensive, it really beats throwing diapers in the trash or wrapping in old grocery bags (which are getting harder and harder to find these days anyways). I’ve tried the generic ones and they are thinner and just not as good. Hopefully won’t have to buy these for too long since eventually Little One will be out of diapers. Happy with this system so far. I’m still not used to carrying out a “sleeve o %#*” every few days, but it beats the alternative.

Better than the Knock-offs!
We switched to the cheaper brand for a few weeks, and we are back to these! They are worth the extra for a couple of reasons: 1. the cheaper brands have thinner plastic so they smell worse 2. Not sure how to explain this exactly, but when I put a diaper in the cheaper liner, the liner would bunch up and have excess plastic go through the little hole in the Diaper Genie, meaning I was wasting a few inches every time I changed a diaper, so it really was not worth the cheaper price! Hope that helps you justify the additional cost!

You will need this. Many of these. So much comes out of your child it is unbelievable. Keep the smell at bay with this.
When you have a infant/toddler, you cannot ever not have extra DiaperGenie Refills (sorry for the double negative). It doesn't even make sense to buy this in the store. I save so much money here. Here's a ProTip: instead of shredding your sensitive documents, tear them up and throw them in with a dirty diaper. Nobody is going to be opening a blue sausage of diapers trying to steal your identity!
