Excellent for pit removal
A well designed product for cutting sides off mangoes of all sizes. Works best for larger fruit. Plastic, curved piece is fair for removing skin from sides but a simple knife works better.

Worth the money if you like mangos

A favorite kitchen tool
This is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I love mangoes, but I've been frustrated because the seeds were always cantankerous and getting the fruit out wasn't fun. This works beautifully to get the seed out cleanly and cut the fruit in half. Then you put the edge of the skin against the edge of the yellow section, slide the fruit down, and the skin comes right off. I've had to pull down on the skin on larger fruit, but it still works like a charm. It's wonderful because now I'm very happily eating mangoes every day.

Makes mango cutting easy!
I love this thing! I rarely review anything, but I have to for this product because I love it. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant, and my biggest craving for months has been mangos. And let me tell you, cutting up 2-4 mangos a day is quite tedious. This product is so easy to use and saves me sooooo much time. I don’t use the base to remove the peel, but the pit remover is great! I cut 6 mangos in about 8 minutes last night.

Wow - it actually works!
Amazing tool — it has several good features, very sharp so it cuts through the mango easily, just rock it back and forth to get it started. The first time I used it cut into the fiber of the pit. I suspect it’s a matter of practice ... I’ll try to update this review after using it more. But so far I’m very happy with it.

I will be buying lots more mangoes now
This is as great as I was hoping for. I write reviews probably for every 50 purchases. This arrived less than an hour ago. I have never been able to achieve the clean cubed cut of a mango like this ever. Blades are super sharp (serrated), and there’s one tiny crack on each side where the blades meet up that I will have to check to clean well, since the Mano fibers can easily sneak in there and possibly rust. Other than that, not too much of a pain to clean I think. With gadgets I either dispose them or love them-after all, they take up our valuable kitchen real estate. This one is worth the space. I will buy more juicy mangoes and cook more mango-based dishes now. Mango salsa is happening right. Now. By the way, I heard about this from a grilling episode of Bobby Flays. Excellent buy. I’ll update this review if the product isn’t holding up.

This thing is SO great.
This thing is SO great. Let's face it; peeling and getting the pit out of a mango is a MESSY job! This device makes it amazingly easy. Is it still a bit messy? Yes, of course. But the process of having wonderful, sweet mango with no peel and no pit is so much less work and definitely much less messy. I read many reviews and I was hesitant to buy because some said they were never successful. Not the case at all for me. We have a tree full of large, ripe mangos and I have been using this thing daily since it arrived. Don't hesitate if you like mangos and want to make it less of a task to prepare them for eating!

Faster and less messy
I was not buying mangos because of how hard they are to core and peel, and this solved that problem. Like any corer, you have to make sure the core is lined up so it goes through the hole of the corer. I find I get my fingers a little juicy using the peeling piece, but not much. This saves a lot of time and effort, and the fruit comes out looking better. I've used it to core nectarines also, although you have to trim some around the core. But it's still faster.

This is awesome!
This makes cutting mango SO much quicker and easier. One of my friends thinks it's unnecessary and says "just use a knife" but she's not much of a kitchen person. I eat A LOT of mango, and trust me this is WORTH IT! It's easy to use and easy to clean. I've used it probably 100 times or more and still works great.

If you belong to the sister hood of the "ping" you need this tool!
I live in Florida and we have lots of mangoes. Too many Mangoes. I love using them in jams and smoothies but this means when my neighbors drop off bags and bags I have to freeze them if I want to keep them and freezing means peeling and peeling is a mess and way too time consuming. I ordered this after I peeled way to many one Sunday to make Mango Strawberry Jam. Many people with sensitive skin also need to wear gloves to even peel a mango because the sap and seeds contain the same chemicals as poison ivy and poison oak so not only is it labor intensive, it could be itchy. I am an avid canner so I ordered this peeler and it arrived on my door step about the same time a second bag of mangoes did. I LOVE this peeler. You really can't go wrong with this.If the mango isn't positioned correctly it'll slice right through the seed it is so sharp. I then score the halves vertically and horizontally in cubes, turn the peel inside out (as shown in photo) and the pieces either pop out or are easily scraped with a knife. It doesn't take much pressure at all to slice through the mango. I am 66, not as strong as I used to be and it is so easy. If you are a canner like I am this is a must have tool that will save you an enormous amount of prep time.
