Holds up to toddlers
My toddlers love these. They are bright but not to bright, they take a beating and hold up well to children. It doesn't go through battery to quickly, my children leave these on regularly and have been using them over a month and a I haven't had to replace batteries yet. I highly recommend them.

Bought three, all great
We purchased two for our kids and one for a gift and all have worked perfectly. They aren’t the thickest/sturdiest plastic housing, but they seem perfectly fine. You also need to make sure to fully screw the lid back in to place after putting in batteries for it to work. I’m wondering if some people with bad reviews just didn’t get it in place properly. I’d recommend trying it, and if you get a dud, Amazon will take care of you!

Hit with 2-year-old; great purchase!
My toddler just adores his flashlight. He takes it all over the house and uses it to find toys under the bed and closet. Even wants the lights off for story time so he can use his flashlight. It's a pefect size for a toddler. The on/off button is easy to use, unlike others I looked at, and it's not too bright. The battery and bulb compartment are sealed with a screw, so a child can't access them. Opening it to access the batteries and bulb is a bit tricky, after removing the screw you have to push down on the yellow "stop" on the body of the flashlight as you turn the orange cap towards the stop (see last photo). I like it too as it's super cute and goes well with his woodland theme bedroom. Great purchase!

Study flashlight
Cute and not too bright it's better durable as my son throw it around. He is totally crazy and this toy stands up to his abuse. I think batteris might have been a bit of a pain but I already 4 got why and I figured it out quickly enough

Durable and Cute
I purchased this one and the ladybug for my son and daughter (at the time ages 4 and 2). We have had them for two years now. They love them - the feel, the ease of use, and durability have withstood the test of time. My kids have left their flashlights on for countless nights and we are still on the original batteries. The on/off button is withset just enough that it doesn’t get bumped and accidentally turned on. I would recommend this flashlight if you are in the market for a cute and easy to use light.

Wide appeal age-wise for both genders.
This little flashlight has been a great gift for all my little grandnieces and nephews (ages 1 1/2 to almost 4). There is a more feminine model but I've found that, to avoid argument, it is better to have everyone have the exact same thing and this is a gender-neutral model that is liked by all. As far as functionality, it works well and the children all loved it. I was happy to find a toy that has such wide appeal for both genders and ages. Makes them happy and makes my Christmas shopping a lot easier.

Very sturdy and durable flashlights for younger kids
Very sturdy and durable flashlights for younger kids, especially when on vacation or outdoor exploration. They are high quality and I didn't detect any no sharp edges that would hurt a child if they were to trip and fall with it in their hands. The handle is easy to grip and release. I was very pleased with the quality, and bought two of them.

Great flashlight for the young ones!
Great little flashlight! Our almost 3 year old son loves it! He goes to bed with it everynight and when he can't find it he asks me for it and won't go to sleep until we find it. We've had it for about 2-3 months now and haven't had to change the battery yet even though I have to go in his room every night after he's asleep and turn it off after it's been on for hours and he sometimes has slept with it on the whole night. The light is bright enough to read in bed and see around but not bright enough where it would rev kids up to stay awake. I would say the intensity is just perfect! It's sturdy and well made. It's been thrown around a few times and it still works perfect!

Very cute for toddlers
My son loves this flashlight and keeps it in his room at night. It's not too bright so I don't worry about him shining it in his face occasionally. He enjoys making shadows figures with various items in his room using the flashlight. Gifted the girl one to a friend with a toddler and she loves hers too.

Awesome product!
Gave this to my 28 month old son (2 yrs and 4 mths for those who hate that!) for Christmas. He loves it! He dropped it today actually during a fall. It bounced against the linoleum and into the entertainment center. I thought for sure it wasn't going to work after that but it's still going strong! Requires 2 triple A batteries, super easy for parent to open even without the screw but difficult for children :) not too heavy but feels very durable, and it's super easy for my son to turn on and off by himself with the push of a button. We both love it!
