This bowl is awesome! It literally is spill-proof. I tried several others that my hamster had thrown about his cage and was ready to give up on bowls until I tried this one. Not once has he tipped this or thrown it. It works great and holds just the right amount of water for hamsters. I placed the bedding on top of the extended lip of the bowl and that leaves just the round portion peeking out of the bedding. I’m very happy with this water bowl and highly recommend it for others Syrian hamsters!

This is truly a food dish that doesn't tip. Guinea pigs are playful, curious creatures. Mine managed to spill their food from every other crock and bowl out there. I thought these would be the same, but they really don't tip over. The edge of the bowl is big enough for multiple piggies to gather around. The only downside is the the cup is small and doesn't hold a lot of food. I recommend buying more than one. Otherwise, amazing fod dishes for piggies.

A good guinea pig bowl, that has so far proved impossible for him to flip over. It has a rather large footprint, but that hasn't been an issue since the edges fit under most things in his home. For whatever reason he also hasn't confused this bowl with a potty, which was an issue with our last food bowl. The only minor drawback is that the inset lettering tends to fill up with "debris", which can be annoying to clean out.

This is a great water dish for any small animals. It does not tip over at all which is a nice feature. For me it didn't end up working because the type of bedding I use gets kicked up in it. But I do highly recommend it depending on what type of bedding you use in your small animal cage.

With this bowl our guinea pig can no longer tip over his food bowl and spill food everywhere. I was surprised to see that within a week, he figured out that he could stand sideways next to the bowl, slightly away from the bowl, and use his head to slide the bowl. However, it's much harder for him to do, so he doesn't move the bowl far. As the bowl slides smoothly without tipping when he does this, no food is wasted. I would definitely buy this again. Now we just need to find a hay solution that's as clever as this food dish solution :)

Great guinea pig product. I only have one complaint and that was the sticker that came on the bottom. It did not come off cleanly and now I constantly have hay stuck. I've been washing is frequently and each time I try to get more of the stickyness off. Other than that, it really is tip proof and I recommend it to the gpig adoptors I talk to. The portion size is wonderful so that new owners are not overfeeding on pellets.

These bowls are perfect for messy guinea pigs! They are a great portion size too!

I bought this for my hedgehog who has a habit of tipping his water bowl over all the time. He would put his front two paws on the bowl in an attempt to hoist himself up (I'm speculating here) and then tip it over. This bowl is short enough that he can easily drink, and he stands on the base part while doing so, making it very difficult to tip (I think I just heard him mutter "challenge accepted"...) I was concerned that it wouldn't be enough water, but let's be honest, he's little. Can't comment on other small animals and their drinking habits, but it is good for my 1 pound hedgie. I'll probably buy another so that I can switch them out instead of washing daily.

For years, I've watched my guinea pig flip every single bowl I've offered him, dumping food everywhere and making a mess and wasting supplies. I even tried ones that are attached to the side of the cage, but then it's really difficult for me to remove them to clean them... this one is perfect! It's been weeks and he hasn't managed to flip it. I'm so relieved. Some of the other reviews said it was kind of small- I haven't found the size to be a problem in the slightest. Holds plenty for an adult male guinea pig

I ordered two of these for my aging male guinea pigs. One of my pigs has a really hard time reaching his neck into a standard bowl and tips it up to more easily access it. I don’t like that because it sometimes hit him on the head or tips over completely so he can’t get his pellets. He seems to be very comfortable using this bowl and doesn’t/ can’t tip it. I got the 1/4 cup size and it isn’t very deep, and the slanted sides make it more accessible. It’s a really good shape. I would be interested in a non plastic option. My pigs haven’t tried to chew it but I know some pigs and rats are avid chewers.
