Using this product is a slight inconvenience, but its functionality outweighs this minor annoyance. It is necessary to lock the chuck onto the valve stem. Once you get this process mastered, and realize that the pressure reading is slightly below actual and compensate for this discrepancy, the TireTek TXL-Pro Heavy Duty Tire Pressure Gauge is a pleasure to use and seems to be very well made.

Gauge

I bought this inflator to be able to fill the tires on my truck/car/UTV/trailers/bikes. I wanted something that when I attached it to the valve stem, I could add air to the tire, then let off the lever and read the current pressure in the tire. I did not want a battery-operated gauge since I maybe use it a half-dozen times a year so I didn't want to have to worry about putting batteries in it every time I wanted to use it. The fact that it had the 90 degree lock-on chuck sold me on it. Received it and it works great and as far as I know, the accuracy of it is darn close to the other gauges I have checked it with. And I love the size of the gauge. I does leak a little air when attaching the chuck but once you lock it down, it does not leak. The only complaint I have is the 170 PSI measurement range. I'm not filling truck tires so I don't need a gauge with that high a measurement. Besides, my compressor only puts out 120 PSI. I would rather have had a gauge that only read to 100 or 80 PSI so you could get a little more accurate at the lower PSI range. It still gets a 5 star rating with me.

Great way to combat inflation

This thing is built to industrial/MILSPEC grade and performs flawlessly! I grant you that it's a bit spendy but so far I've been through 3 of its competitors and all three are now in the boneyard. Had I bought this one first, I'd be about $10 ahead and not had so many blood pressure spikes! I did have to swap out the male supply adapter as my amateur compressor hardware wasn't that beefy, but that was 5 minutes' work. As I have enough miserable history with accessing motorcycle valve stems, I have installed angled valve stems on all my bikes. That negated the importance of the angled chuck supplied with this inflater, but for those still trying to find their way through dual disc brakes and spokes, the angled chuck will probably put a smile on your face.

5 STAR TOOL!

I've had for years a cheaper "knock-off" version of the inflators like found at old gas stations years ago, which overall, served me fine when inflating things with "schrader" valves. Sort of 'testy/tempermental' at times, but worked. But then I bought a new bicycle with "presta" valves and I could only use the hand pump to inflate- which is a pain in a**. I do have an adapter, but it barely worked with my "old style" gas station type inflator. So I decided to go on a search of a better solution on the internet (because anything at local auto parts or Pep Boys was junk). After an hour or so of searching, reading horrific reviews of many products, I came across this TireTek TXL- Pro Heavy Duty Tire pressure inflator gauge. I liked everything I read about it in the description- metal components, large dial, 'lock-on' filler cap, and (most welcome) surprise, an available lifetime warranty! I ordered one and it arrived on time or earlier, great packaging. I put some teflon tape on the INCLUDED (nice!) fitting and installed it on the tool. I then went about "testing" it on various applications of schrader fittings.... then the ultimate test- my bicycle tires. OMG! This tool is great! I could NOT be happier- and in my mind, I'll never have to purchase another- EVER. Because of the lifetime warranty! I cannot believe how lucky I was to select this tool. So glad I didn't have to play the disappointing 'run-around' with other crappy tools. 5 STARS all the way!

I am a Ford Technician repairing and servicing cars and trucks. I purchased this tire pressure gauge for home use to check air pressure mostly on my Harley Davidson. The first gauge arrived and the end that clips onto the valve stem leaked. I was going to contact the company however before I could I received an email from the owner and co founder, Frank Jackson, asking if I received the gauge. I stated yes and described the issue. I requested a new hose however within an few hours actually at 2 AM I received an email stating that he was shipping a new gauge out. I received it not more than a day later and it works great! Clips onto hard to reach valve stem, inflates tire all with one hand! More accurate than my "professional" tire gauge at work! Buy from this company and you will not regret it! Excellent customer service!

Very professional and responsive company

Excellent tire gauge. Exceptional service from TireTek when I notified them of a defect in the original gauge I received. They were very professional and responsive ... replaced the defective gauge at no cost to me. The dial on the gauge is very large and easy to read. Swivels on the shaft making it easy to position on the valve stem and observe the pressure. Best feature is locking on the valve stem and being able to bleed-off excess pressure.

Large easy to read gauge, great for motorcycles or other vehicles with hard to access valve stems

Ordered this as all of my air chucks suck to access the valve stems on my motorcycles. These are a nice 90 degrees and can access nearly anything. At first I was very skeptical of the gauge, because I've never had a vehicle that ever needed more than 45psi and this goes up to a ridiculous 175psi... but it's still very functional given the massive gauge size. I inflated my 68 Corvette first, and then chucked the pressure on all of my bikes with this. I then double and triple checked everything with a few of the different gauges I have, and it was all accurate. Long term reliability to be determined, but thus far it's accurate and pretty legitimate.

Awesome product! Purchased to fine tune the pressure in my motorcycle tires. Works great! To those who are giving bad reviews for air leaks and parts of the inflator sticking, it's OK. We understand that not everyone is a pipe fitter or is mechanically inclined. Pneumatic tools need to be oiled (this is a pneumatic tool). Add a few drops of pneumatic oil as necessary (more often you use, more frequent you oil). This will solve any sticking problems. When you open the box and are assembling the threaded quick disconnect fitting, wrap some Teflon tape around the threads. If it still leaks, this means you didn't use enough tape. Don't give this company a bad wrap because of your own lack of knowledge. These guys were great to deal with. I had a few questions about the product and got immediate responses. Not very common for most sellers here in Amazon.

Great for motorcycle tires. Highly recommended!

I purchased this primarily because the chuck is at a 90 degree angle because the valve stems on my motorcycle can be a pain to get to with a “regular “ air chuck. This made it almost effortless especially being a clamp on chuck. A large gauge is really easy on the eyes, especially for those of us who have a few years on us. If you accidentally go over your desired pressure, it even has a bleeder valve on it so you can easily let it out without disconnecting from your tire. It even came with an air hose connector which I thought was a nice touch. It also came in a box that appeared to be made for it and it is well protected from shipping damages. More products should be packaged as well as this is. I even received an email from the company asking how everything was and if I had a problem to let them know so they can make sure I was happy with it. I recommend it highly.

Very high quality

I was extremely impressed by the quality of the TireTek TXL-Pro Heavy Duty Tire Pressure Inflator Gauge. Everything as described. I took it out of the box and used the supplied teflon tape to attach the quick connect and was up and running as soon as my compressor filled. My only negative would be the lock-on chuck is a little short and is slightly difficult to attach to smaller size car tires with limited access to the valve. No issue with it working, but had to manipulate the angle of the valve to get it to attach. Zero issues with my truck tires, which is why I got this. I could never find an inflator that could get the pressure needed for truck tires. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and the quality of the product. Highly recommended!
