Great for little explorers
If it was up to my two-year-old son he would play outside and chase lizards and catch caterpillars all day. These bugnoculars are the perfect toy to keep him entertained. It's also a fun educational tool as he's able to observe the creatures up close and learn more about them. There are tiny holes at the top so the creatures can breathe, which is great. The lid easily opens and closes. The case itself is not very big so its meant for small creatures only. The handle at the top makes it easy for my son to carry during his bug hunting expeditions. Definitely recommend.

We saved two baby toads!
We had two little baby toads that we rescued and cared for during the freeze in the bugnoculars. My 3 year old daughter loved saying goodnight to them and watching them. I highly recommend this for educational purposes. It teaches kids to be aware of their natural surroundings and learn about nature's awesome critters. It's lightweight to carry and the lid stays tightly shut. The top lenses allow you to see greater detail. The lid also has tiny pin holes throughout the edge so your temporary pet can breathe easily. For our little toads (who are now happily "back with their families" as my little girl states) we placed a cotton ball of water inside for hydration. You and your kids will definitely love this product.

Great for kids all ages. No holes in bottom so can catch bugs and fish
Love these jars. The latch is secure enough to keep our findings secure but not too difficult to open for bigger kids 8 and above. I like that there are no holes in bottom so we can catch fish with it. Holes are on top of jar. I really like the magnifying glass. Very easy to use.

Love it!
Still not sure who I really bought this for, me or my son. Love to go on 'backyard safari' with my son to catch, observe and release everything from flowers to critters.

It seems well made and the magnification is perfect for young children
This was a gift for my 3 year old in his easter basket. It seems well made and the magnification is perfect for young children. I put some plastic bugs inside and he has enjoyed checking them out until he can catch a real bug.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 3 year old nephew. He loves to find bugs and check them out, see how they move. My SIL said he loves this, and they use it all the time. This device does not have any air holes, so be sure to remember to let the critters back out once you're done inspecting them. My SIL said they've forgotten a few times, and then they have dead bugs the next morning.

My sons love it as much as the kids do
Bought these for my grandsons with the book. Get's them outside and peaks their curiosity. As a teacher, I try to choose educational gifts that bring kids and parents together. My sons love it as much as the kids do.

This was for my two-year-old granddaughter. I bought a matching National Geographic Big Book of Bugs to go with the gift. I just got a photo showing a worm with food in the bugnoculars case. Her mom says she loves it and is searching the yard for more bug friends. Entertaining and educational!

My 4 year old niece LOVES this.
My 4 year old niece LOVES this. We got this for her along with a 'first book of bugs' book. She ran around the yard all summer with this collecting insets and finding them in her book.
