Easy, quick, and beautiful

Normally I don't bother writing reviews, even though I tend to rely on them heavily when shopping on Amazon. These lights are so awesome though, I had to get on here and spread the word. I had them set up and turned on within five minutes of checking my mailbox, it was that simple and easy. I used the peel and stick option because I didn't want to mess with the hardware. In my opinion there's no need to mount them with the screws because they're so lightweight. They are nice and bright when turned all the way up, and I love that I can dim them if I want. All this to say I highly recommend these, totally worth the price.

these lights would be painful to use

Upgrading to 5 stars! The seller (Tekvilla) did indeed send me the new model for free, and it works great! They added a rocker switch to turn all the lights on/off at the same time. They also added a dimmer switch. The net result? You can choose any brightness lever you want (from dark to very, very bright) and it remembers that setting every time you turn the lights back on. Best I've seen. ------------------------ Adding more stars for great customer service. Seller refunded my money right away, even before receiving the returned item. They even offered to send me the new model that for FREE, which should fix the issues I had, once it becomes available. ------------------------ I should have read the "cons" in one of the other reviews before I bought these :-( Unfortunately, these lights would be painful to use. It turns out you have to touch them 3 times to get to the brightest setting. It doesn't lend itself to a switch, because each time you cut the power, you have to do the touching all over again. I was going to decide that was OK, just not preferable, but then I connected the other 2 strips to the first one and discovered that you have to touch all 3 strips individually, up to 3 times each if you want them all to be at the brightest level. And if you turn the light switch off, then the next time you turn it on you'll have to touch all 3 again 3 times each.

Easy to install

This is a great option for DIY under-cabinet lighting without having to hire an electrician. I used two kits (total of six lights) in my kitchen. You have the option of using adhesive strips or brackets with screws. The adhesive did not stick to the bottom of my cabinets, so I ended up using the brackets and screws. They were quick and easy to install with a good drill. The biggest challenge was trying to hide the cords, so that's something to consider. I recommend these lights, and would order them again if I had a need.

Excellent

In less than 10 minutes they were unpacked, mounted with the 3M double stick tape included in the package, and turned on. The switch and dimmer work as they should. When bright they are perfect for food prep and when dim make a great night light in the kitchen. 1 year later....2 of the 3 are still perfect......one has dimmed considerably

Light and easy to put together

These lights are wonderful. I did not use them as under cabinet lights, though. I grow plants as a hobby and needed a set up with light to make the plants grow. Since this is a temporary set up I did not install them permanently. It was so easy to lay them light side down on the wire shelf above the plants. It was definitely a plug and play item and I had the whole setup finished in just a few minutes. I will be purchasing more to use as actual under counter lighting in the kitchen very soon.

Yasssss honey!

My daughter has a very dimly lit room and I just redecorated putting her vanity in her DARK closet. These lights are absolutely perfect for her to do her make up and hair before taking a million selfies. YASSSSS. They even credited me a portion of the price because one of the lights was not working out of the box so that I could purchase a new light but still use the ones I had for the big room reveal. Great customer service, I've already ordered more!

They are great but easily damaged during installation.

These lights are very nice! They provide even, bright light under a cabinet. The dimming function is perfect. I did have a problem with the last two lights in the chain failing after a few days. At first I found that if I tapped on the connector between the ones that worked and the ones that didn't they would work. Then they failed completely. I contacted the manufacture by e-mail and they responded in less than 24 hours! They suggested I check to see that the cables were fully connected. I had not used the cables but did use the connecting plugs. They all appeared to be properly connected. By changing around the order of the lights in the end of the string I determined that two of the fixtures were defective. I told the company and they immediately sent me two new fixtures! After I got the new lights I decided to investigate the reason for the failure. Two small recessed screws hold the ends on the fixture. I removed the ends and then slid out the plastic lens. I inspected the solder joints between the power receptacle and the circuit board with a magnifying glass. The solder joints were cracked in the defective lights. These connections are very fragile! If the connector is flexed during installation, it can break the connections. When installing with the plastic mounting clips it is very easy to bend the connection. The double side tape might be the easier option. Don't bend the connections! They now work perfectly!

Create Something Fun with These LEDs

I purchased one of these kits to replace a single 40W fluorescent tube in our dining room hutch. The installation was a snap and the lights produce a much more even distribution than their predecessor. I liked the effect so much that I purchased a second kit and installed it above the hutch to produce a decorative lighting there as well. The lighting is warm in color and adds a nice touch to the room. I would definitely encourage anyone to be creative with these very functional and flexible lights.

5-stars for these high-quality cabinet lights

Excellent product! I was very pleased with my purchase. The lights were a breeze to install and the kits containing three light bars can be daisy-chained (connect in series) to allow you to control all lights with just one switch and dimmer. It's a must for your kitchen. See picture of my kitchen.

So far so good / Can be modified for wall switch control

These are the perfect length for a standard cabinet dimension, and two chained together are great for for either a 39 or 36 inch cabinet. I'm using them for a rehab construction project in the kitchen. For this installation, I cut off the power switch and the dimmer and spliced the power cable together, so I could direct wire them into my wall switch next to the sink. The brackets and screws that come with the LEDS work well to mount them under the cabinets. I also matched the 6000K lighting with the rest of my task lighting. It makes the kitchen counter-cops sparkle! They've been up and running for only a week so I'll return to this review if they malfunction moving forward. I bought two boxes (6 LEDs in total) displayed in the attached pics.
