I love this machine. It has a lot of power and does exactly what I needed it to.

It is compact but works like a giant. Very easy to use and maneuver. Gets into very small places to get hard to get weeds. Love it!!!

both the order and the replacement had been dropped at some point. I kept a mower by canabalizing the two (the fractured gas tank neck swapped out ...

I have a weed infested 2 1/2 acres which has defied normal lawn mowers. I have used the hand held weekwackers but there is just too much area for one of them to control. I have avoided the push type string cutters for a long time based on my father-in-laws bad experience with one. I looked at good riding mowers but have been reluctant to shell out $1500-2000. So based on the great reviews this Southland has I gave it a try: 1) The instructions were written in plain and clear English, something of a rarity these days 2) Assembly was mostly easy and straightforward. I had some difficulty getting the deadman switch connected to the handle but managed finally. 3) They must have had a lot of problems of people running this without oil because it is literally festooned with lurid tags and warning, at least five, to add the oil provided first. 4) Filled the gas tank. And it started on the first easy pull of the recoil starter cord. 5) It is death to weeds, it mows down everything smaller than 3/8 inch woody stem with ease. 6) It does use string but I bought a roll of Oregon brand .155 cord and it will suppy over 120 changes of cord. And changing the cord is a snap, no tools required, just loop the new cord thru a a guide and around a tab and that's it. Takes less than a minute no profanity required either. 7) This is my first day with the machine but it looks well built and I expect to get lots of use out of it.

This Machine works great, but it takes practice to get it to cut all weeds to the same length. But this weed eater really destroys any overgrown weeds or plants. the string never breaks. I did 1/2 acre and the string never broke. God machine.

Bought this a little under a year ago to clear areas on land we own. It works very well. Clears out the grass and such needed, then makes easy work of maintaining the area previously cleared. Would highly recommend this.

Regular weed eaters are too heavy for me, this is fantastic. It was easy to start and I love it.

Great mower. We have a small farm with kudzu, honeysuckle, vetch and raspberry bushes among others, this mower chops it all down and shreds it. Yes the kudzu vines do wrap up in it, but that happens to all things we've used. We're very happy with it.

Best yard and field machine I have ever bought! Cranks easily and is a monster to weeds and small trees. Easy to use for this 67 year old lady.

Good Product, Works really well and assembly of Wheels and Handle were very easy . Lightweight and Easy to Use , Motor is Quiet .
