The SteelSeries Nimbus gaming controller is a game changer for my iPhone X. I was reluctant to order this as there’s no mention about it being compatible with the iPhone X it it’s description. I took the chance, and it works flawlessly. It also completely changes the gaming experience on the iPhone, puts it on a whole new level. I love racing games and the biggest hurdle in having a quality simulation racer on a smartphone has been the controls. Not anymore. I couldn’t recommend this controller/game-pad any higher. Grid Autosport is now truly a console racing game competitor on my iPhone (and highly recommended). This will be great for traveling, I can’t wait to try other games with it. Also, get the Dainslef Foldable Mobile Phone mount, it says its for the Xbox 1 controller but it works great on the SteelSeries Nimbus.

DORS NOT WORK WITH FORTNITE IOS! IF That is what you are buying for.

Let me say this, this controller is amazing. For so long I have been looking for a game controller for my iPad and this was it. I didn't mind the price because the reviews persuaded my purchase. Needless to say this controller does not lag, I haven't charged it in a week and it still fully charged (with everyday usage for up to 3hrs+), perfect fit for your hands (similar to Xbox controller) and has been amazing so far. I love the app that tells you what games are compatible with the controller. What more do you need except this controller. Amazing product!!!!!

Amazing gadget! Tnx to Steelseries for this gamepad. Connection very easy, not nessesary setup, just connect and play! With Nimbus compatibility lot of games: World of tanks, Real Racing, Asphalt, Sky Gsmblers, FIFA, Minecraft, GTA... If you separately purchase Apple “Lightning Digital AV adapter” with HDMI, and connect your iPhone or Ipad to your home TV - you will play games at big screen with high quality of picture and sound! It will be looks Like PS or XBox

I haven't used it exhaustively yet - current usage is about five or six hours' worth - but I have nothing but good things to say about it. Works fine right out of the box, connects to games pretty much all by itself, controls well in the process. Comfortable to hold and use - Xbox players will feel right at home especially, it's an extremely similar design. Charges over Lightning cable, making it easy to charge whenever you aren't using your phone cable. I was hesitant on buying a more "expensive" gaming controller (compared to the more generic options out there) but I don't regret it now. Makes playing games on my phone way better than clunky and frankly unplayable touchscreen controls. It won't work for every game, of course. So far it's worked for every single game I've tried that claims it has MFi controller support, so that's something to look for if you're wondering about compatibility. Noteworthy games I have played with this: Minecraft GTA: San Andreas Final Fantasy 7 (supposedly all the others work too) Tomb Raider Dead Trigger 1 and 2 Emulators (look up iEmulators and BuildStore)

I bought this disregarding all the bad reviews which was a good call. Amazing controller. You just have to have a little patience to set it up. Do not use Bluetooth in the windows 10 settings, if you've already done that, go to Bluetooth settings and remove it. Now you have to go to the control panel and click on hardware and sound > devices and printers > add device (top left corner) it will find the "steel series stratus xl" controller and set it up, but this is not the device you need. (by the way you might need to hold down the connection button on the top for 5-10 seconds to reset it) After that device is installed right click it and remove it, then power off the stratus xl and back on again. It should automatically install "HID compliant game controller" this what you need to use or else you will not have any input. If it connects successfully you should have the first led light up on the controller (sometimes the second one). If you want to test input go to start and type joy.cpl and hit enter (there should be "steel series xinput controller" here) click properties and you should be able to test input. This wasn't something I discovered I found it on a reddit thread after hours of research. I will add some pictures so you can understand what I mean. Don't give up, it might take some fiddling around with. This is working on windows 10 build 1803 as of yet. All functionality of Steelseries engine is pretty much lost but it never worked for me anyways. Android works perfectly. **update** Amazon took down my review for my reddit link and pictures? I don't know but I hope this still helps some people. Putting it back up

Wow, I bought this with low expectations but WOW! The first one that was sent to me was great but when I tried to play a first person shooter I realized that the R2 button did not work. At this point I was past the return policy. I sent amazon an email and you would not believe it. The next day by 2 pm the post office dropped off a new one. I love Amazon! You guys are the best. This controller works perfect! I love using it on my Apple TV and my IPad. Flawless! Best controller ever

This fix method originally comes from reddit, and it is a universal fix which will guarantee the controller would work. When you get the item, the item does not come with a micro usb cable, you will want to get one with the ability to transport data (this is very important, because some micro usb cable only provides power not able to transport data) First, try with the usual method, just follow the instructions come with the item (bluetooth connection and etc to see if the usual way works or not, if it works, great! Enjoy!) If not, clean the memory of the controller (hold down the pairing button for 5-10 s), then I believe my review here would help. 1. download the steelseries engine from steelseries official website, as of I'm writing this review, the version is 3.13.0, but I believe the fix came around version 3.11.0, this software is vital because it will update the drivers on the controller so that it would pair properly with your pc. Once installed, open the engine and do step 2. 2. See the attached image, on where the red arrow points, you will see a micro usb port which allows you to connect the controller to your pc via cable and without batteries. You want to make sure the cable you use is able to transport data otherwise you will end up with only four indicators blinking and no response. 3. After connection, the steelseries engine should instantly recognize the controller as "stratus xl" and will show that the controller needs update (in the steelseries engine interface), click update and wait for it to finish. 4. After update, the steelseries engine will show a msg telling you what you need to do after the update. Disconnect the cable after the update (you won't need it anymore), put in the batteries, turn on the controller, and pair the controller to your pc via bluetooth. At this time, in your "Bluetooth and other devices" interface should appear a device called "Steelseries Bluetooth HID device" 5. Once paired, turn off the power of the controller, then turn on again. Now the controller will automatically pair with pc, at this time, in your "Bluetooth and other devices" interface should appear both "Steelseries Bluetooth HID device" and "HID-compliant game controller", also in your steelseries engine, the controller would appear through your bluetooth. As of now, the controller is setup and ready. I hope this review would help anybody who had or is having connectivity issue, this controller feels firm and looks well-designed, I would hate to see people consider their money wasted just because of some software issue.

Works excellent with my iPhone 7! As far as finding an iPhone holder, this clasp did the trick for $10 MP Power Foldable Mobile Phone Holder Smartphone Clamp Game Clip For Microsoft Xbox One xbox 1 Game Controller For Iphone Samsung Sony HTC LG Huawei

Great build quality, great battery life, and responsive gameplay. What more do you need? Every button (except Menu) is pressure-sensitive: left and right shoulder and trigger buttons, A, B, X, Y, the D-pad, and of course the analog sticks. Developers have to make their games to use that, of course, but the controller can do it. The sticks are not clickable, it that matters to you—it's not a part of the MFI standard, so they don't do it. Get an HDMI connector for an iOS device, or use it with an Apple TV, and you get the console gaming experience. It's important to know an MFI controller is only supposed to work with iOS and Mac OS 10.9 or better, and it will only work with games and apps that have implemented the MFI standard—which includes hundreds of games, but not all games, even ones that seem like they obviously should work with a controller. You can always ask the game developer to add support (and they usually will), but the controller won't work with that game until they do. The companion app for iOS—not Apple TV—conveniently lists the compatible games, allows for firmware updates, and has a copy of the help/manual. Of course, you don't actually need the app.
