Great sounds.

The sound is made when the piece is removed to reveal the sound of the picture that is under that puzzle piece. (When removing the garage door, the sound of a car is heard because there is a car in the garage. etc) It is very cute and will help little ones understand each area of a house and what sounds take place in that room. My 19 mo old grandchild loves it!

This is such a cute puzzle. It will teach our one-year-old grandson and other toddlers what is a door, window, doorknob, front porch, the list is endless. The puzzle pieces have a wooden tab on each piece so their little hands can reach out and pick the pieces up and then the sound will go off telling the little one what each piece is as they work through each puzzle piece. Should of told us!

I love this puzzle!!! I haven't given it to my granddaughter yet but I know she will love it. I put the batteries in and it worked fine. A little later i tried to play again and it didn't work!!! I was going to write to them but I read the reviews first and one review was talking about being in a well lit room. Well I did that and sure enough it works fine!!!! There was no where on the puzzle to say that and I see a lot of reviews saying its not working!! I can't believe that Melissa and Doug people didn't put something saying that! Could of helped a lot of people!!

I’d buy it again.

My 3 year old grandson loves this. He’s very good with puzzles but his little 3 year old hands limit him somewhat. This puzzle was easier for him to do, and the sounds were immediately noticed by him. The sounds were another thing that helped him to want to play with that puzzle. I would buy it again if I had it to do over.

We are big fans of Melissa and Doug products

My toddler has several M&D puzzles however this one must have something as she really gets entertained and interested in the sounds and on the different doors/windows . My little one is active and doesn't retain attention for long time but she can play with this for over 15 minutes ( that's a lot for her! :) We really appreciate the good work this company does with kids toys.

2 year old would love this!

My almost 2 year old loves this. This is her favourite peg puzzle since it has pictures of what's happening behind each door/window. She also loves the sounds. She enjoys other peg puzzles but these are more appropriate for her age as they create more curiosity. Batteries not included. Takes 2 AAA.

Ding Dong

This puzzle works perfectly. Had also purchased an animal one that works backwards so when the pieces are in place it randomly makes sounds. This one only makes sounds when you lift the pieces. Lift the door and ding dong. Lift the garage and the car starts. Great sounds.

Keeps them occupied for hours while playing .. at first it was just the puzzles then the sounds associated with them that fascinated my toddler. Next came the role playing and his imagination went through the roof... he now plays house and uses this puzzle to play with his baby brother
