I hate plastic scoops
I hate plastic scoops. Nothing like digging around in someone else's bathroom with a glorified plastic spoon. I gave in and spent more than I'd like to admit on a nice metal one from the local pet store. It's fine, but stuff sticks to it, which makes it way too gross to carry from room to room. So I had the brilliant idea that I'd just get one for each room with a litter box... turns out a lot of the new metal scoops are garbage. Bending, snapping (!), and either poor sifting (which costs money in litter) or breaking up all the clumps (which makes all the litter disgusting and thus costs money in carpet cleaners when the cat finds an alternative location). This one works well, comes with its own hanger, and costs about half what the one from the pet store did. Can't really ask for more.

Best scoop ever!
It's ridiculous how awesome this scoop is. 10/10, would buy again (but I probably won't have to, since it's solid aluminum). Edit: it's been nearly two weeks now since I received this scoop. Every time I use it I still get amazed that it's so good. My only regret is not buying one ages ago. The side-to-side shaking required to sift with my old scoop would break the clumps up and the clean litter would become filled with bits of urine soaked litter. This app allows the litter to pass through without shaking, so my litter is staying clean longer, saving me a lot of money! Also, shaking the weight of the old scoop constantly was making my wrist sore. That's a memory now as well! This scoop has made me feel better, saves me money, and has given my kitties a much more pleasant place to do their business. I wish I could give this item six stars!!

Best sifter ever!
(Update: I just ordered my second so I’ll have one in each room with liter boxes.) Best sifter ever! No kidding folks. I have tried almost all and this one is it, the best! I really hated sifting litter, so this is what I did. I put time, effort and money into products and method and have become somewhat of an expert. My problems were the same as yours, litter everywhere, stuff sticking to scooper/sifter, I could go on. I graduated from plastic sifters a long time ago but still struggled with the corners and sticking. I waisted so much time trying to maneuver my wrist in such a position to perfectly attack those 90°'es. Wait, ninety degreeses. That's right. Ha, It too was impossible. Then I read the claim on this sifter and decided to trust again. It's so perfect, it's silly. You gotta try this. It fits in there perfectly! Teflon solves the sticking! Done! So happy here. I know this is a lot but it's something I do every single day of my life so I want to do it right and eliminate the problems once and for all! Here's what else I changed. My three cats sport two 3-high-sided, silicone sprayed (not necessary but smooth) generously Agway litter filled boxes which I sift once, sometimes twice a day. If litter still escapes the box you might want to make your own with 3 taller sides using a tote bin with a half circle cut out of one side for the kitty exit. I have to place a pee pee pad under the entrance/exit as my elderly Missy barely steps in, leaves her butt hanging outside the entrance, then does a u-turn, one paw swipe cover and out. (She's allowed.). I have now perfected the once dreaded chore and it's actually, well, not unpleasant. I almost forgot about the thing that my sifter hangs on. It's great too! Another problem solved. It's the little things. Smile.

Best litter scoop I have ever used!
I recently bought this to use with our new kitty, after not having a cat for about two years. In the past, we could never find a scoop that we liked. They were all flimsy or had really wide slots, so you missed all the little clumps of litter. Even though this one had no customer reviews when I purchased it, I thought I would give it a try, as it was similarly priced to another popular kitty scoop, but improved on the common negative points of the other scoop: teflon-coated to prevent erosion on the edge, and an ergonomic grip on the handle. I've only been using the scoop for a week, but already I'm impressed. The scoop feels heavy-duty and durable, but not actually heavy. I can use it to both sift (the slots are a good width for even getting small clumps) and scrape along the bottom of the litter pan. We have a round pan, so I can't attest to the ability of getting into corners, but I'm sure it would do the job just fine. It is definitely one solid piece of metal, with a grip on the end, so it doesn't feel like it's going to bend or snap. The handle feels very comfortable, too, when scooping. I would absolutely recommend this scoop.

Fantastic Product - Stop wasting money on cheap plastic litter sifters!
Some will say a litter sifter is a litter sifter is a .... NOT TRUE. I recently had one break, plastic one, just as I was leaving town for a long weekend. It put me in a real bind. I needed a replacement so I bought one at Wally World. That one looked similar to this and was metal. But it had holes that were too small. I ordered this one because I was upset and wanted to prove their hype wrong and return it to Amazon with a nasty note. I really was mad. My thinking was all litter sifters are junk! WASTED ENERGY... This is the ultimate cat litter sifter. Let me say that again, This Is The Ultimate Cat Litter Sifter. The only down side is the coating is supposed to cause wet stuff to not stick. That is not true but the clumping litter is supposed to stick to itself and therefore EVERYTHING. This one, a quick brush off with the human toilet brush and PRESTO... CLEANO again. The metal is substantial. Remember, I tried to break this litter sifter and couldn't. I weight 270. I took it to my workbench in the garage and leaned on it hard. Wouldn't break. I guess had I put it in my vice and really went to town I could have broken it but that would have exceeded any normal use to the point of silliness. The handle is GREAT... other similar products have handles where the metal inside only comes an inch or two into the plastic. This one appears to have the metal most of the way to the end of the handle. The rubber/plastic part of the handle will NOT flex and is large enough to really grip. Sort of like the kitchen utensil for seniors. Shape of and curve of the handle is perfect. Holes in shovel are right for clumping litter. I don't use the wall holder but it is a neat idea. This is a good product. Not cheap but worth the money. If I can't break it... its a good one. George Vin Maniac and Midnight Louise say,"Thank you Amazon for the new litter sifter... our butler is very pleased."

Holy Litter Clean Up Batman! What a Great Scooper!
Far exceeded my expectations. SUCH an improvement over the flimsy plastic one we've been using. Quickly picks up significantly more doo doo and pee clumps thanks to the rigid design and large scoop. The included plastic hangar is a great addition. Easily adhered it to the side of our litter trash can. We were often misplacing our old scoop or would set it on top of the trash can, which was getting litter dust all over the top. No longer an issue with this new scoop and hangar. Quality product. Highly recommended.

The only scoop you will ever need.
Why did I not buy this thing sooner? Finally, a tool that makes efficient work of one of the most unpleasant household tasks. I have 2 cats and need to clean the box every 2/ 3 days. It scrapes the sides of the box clean ( its rigid and strong and its shovel edge is sharp enough to cut through clay-like clumps.) The deep sides of the shovel cradle large clumps safely all the way to the disposal bag, with no spills. Best of all because of the large capacity sifter, you can get through the task much, much faster. Learn from my mistake: When the ubiquitous $4 plastic litter scoop was failing on the job, I stupidly spent money on 2 cheap metal hamburger turner type kitchen tools to sift the litter, before finally getting this. (Those are now trash). Had I known what I know now, I could have bought this 'expensive' scoop and saved myself time and money, both,

Cat box & garden.Fits Litter Genie side pocket perfectly.
Very happy with this litter scoop. Have thrown away all of my others, and will be buying this for several friends. You can't go wrong with this scoop. The shape is perfect and gets into the corners, it does not bend, it is incredibly sturdy, but very lightweight. Crazy I know, but I'm ridiculously happy with the scoop. Have two brand-new ones which will be sold at the garage sale. This is just a great scoop; performs as advertised. Crap (literally) Slides right off. Sorry-pun intended but no offense meant. (Ha ha). Have been using about a 2 weeks and the leading scoop edge isn't clumping with residual debris buildup. See Photo of scoop-no cleaning since purchase a couple weeks ago. Also, I am a big fan of my "litter Genie registered trademark" and the scoop fits perfectly into the side storage pocket of the litter Genie. First replacement scoop to do so and I've tried many. I have included a photo to illustrate this. Also included id a second photo my cat who jumped across the field of view at the exact time I was trying to take a photo. Had to include it, I don't believe in coincidences. Everything for a reason. Wonder If I can buy stock in this company! Also I have chipmunks that bury hoards of birdseed in my raised garden beds. The birdseed then sprouts in clumps as little pop up weed clusters. This scoop is perfect for going out to the garden beds scooping under those weed clusters to remove them, while letting all the dirt sift back to the ground. I realize it is not intended as a garden scoop, but this is great! Would be a "perfect" garden dirt sifting scoop if front edge was extended to create a "spade" leading edge. Free idea. When you guys make millions send me a free scoop!

Great Product!
I have been using this product for almost 2 weeks and it us awesome - as awesome as you can get when you are scooping pee and poo. I ordered a different brand one a couple months ago - I liked it but it had a few things that I thought could be improved upon. So, I kept looking. I decided to purchase this one with the teflon coating and the small hook to attach and hang in the wall. It has the improvements that I was looking for. A bit shorter handle, is s bit lighter, and it picks up a LOT more of the small bits that every other scoop leaves behind. I can also get in the corners and little nooks and crannies that the litter box has much better. I am saving money because it leaves the good litter behind and picks up the used litter. The other scoop I bought is good but this one is better and I do alot of scooping! 5 cats and 6 litter boxes! In pic my original purchase on the right, this product on the left. Notice how clean it is eventhough I just used it!

Worth the cost! Would (and did) buy another!
I've had the first shovel a few weeks now. I bought it assuming I would return it if it didn't perform. Oh. My. Goodness. Where has this cat litter shovel been all this time? I am *very* pleased. You really don't have to shake it to get the litter back in the box, and clumps of litter don't fall apart in the box, and my litter doesn't seem to be kicking up as much dust. I'm pleased with how much used litter it clears from the box, even tiny little clumps the old scoops would have sifted. I like it so much I bought a second one for the upstairs box. I've even showed it to a few people who've come into the house, which says something since when is looking at used litter something you want to share with guests? This shovel is worth the cost. I hung them on the sides of my two litter boxes using the included mount and love that I don't have to set them in the trash can or on top of the litter box. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you're considering it. It's a game changer in my daily litter-scooping routine.
