This is an excellent product at this price.. My pets are like family and I do my best to keep them as healthy as possible.. I researched all the top rated foods that I could find and to be honest there are products with higher grade ingredients but that being said you'll pay almost twice as much for them.. The subscription deal is the best price you'll find.. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for the best you can get without breaking the bank.. PS: My kitties love it and they're not easy to please by any means..

Good value and cats love it

Have bought Iams dog and cat products for many years, and I'm happy to report my cat family thrives on this Proactive Health formula. It's a decent food nutritionally for teenage to senior - all of mine love it. The aroma is light, not unpleasant if you free feed. For a lower midrange premium food, the price is very good for a bag this size, which lasts a long time in an airtight container, and the lined bag keeps the food very fresh until you open it. I also appreciate that the Iams company still maintains its quality and standards in an industry where so many others have sold out, changed formulas and tossed quality control out the window.

A premium cat food that our cats like and it seems that we are making fewer trips to the veterinarian. Happy, healthy kitties with less time and money spent at the vets. Seems like a win-win to me.

Cleared up a big problem

I went through plenty of expensive, sensitive stomach cat foods that did absolutely nothing for my new rescue kitty. Poor baby had chronic diarrhea for weeks. I bought this Iams formula on a whim & within a week, he started having normal cat box visits. My other cat loves it as well.

Consistent, great cat food

Have used for decades and all cats love it and always look healthy. Other foods, even claimed to be high end grain free, have been hit and miss and made cats unhappy compared to Iams Original. They even snub wet foods as this has all they need. Just treat your cats with a little sliced turkey every once in a while and daily with dry Iams,

We are really happy with this food. We had our cats eating cheap Friskies, and they were constantly puking all over the house. I started reading reviews on other cat foods that might not break the bank, and I kept seeing others with cats whose hacking or pooping habits changed for the better on this food. Now we've switched over completely to Iams Proactive Health, and I can absolutely say with zero doubt that the cats have pretty much completely stopped puking much to the excitement of both myself and my husband (the latter of whom always got "clean-up" duty, so he may be a bit invested in the outcome). This may be TMI, but their bowel movements are also significantly smaller and less... shall we say... offensive. Happy with this food, seems a fair deal for the cost.

Good Food

We had been giving our 2 cats cheap Friskies from a local big box store. We were finally getting annoyed by the amount of that food consumed daily. We were also getting really tired of how much they pooped and how bad it smelled. I figured we'd try this Iams and see what happened. After about a week, they adjusted and were eating at least half the amount of Iams as they ate Friskies. They also started pooping less. We are glad we spent a little more for this, it's worth it.

Fairly good quality - cats like it

We switched to IAMS from the cheaper cat dry foods after our cats started throwing up the cheaper stuff every time they ate - for us on our limited income, it is still expensive but worth it - our cats almost never throw it up and they love the taste. Their fur is also MUCH shinier and the old girl that had flakes in her fur now has a nice silky coat again after about 6 weeks of IAMS. Since vets recommend that cats be given some wet food they do get a little canned food as well. We found that if we let a 1/4 cup soak for a few minutes in very warm water and stir it up, our OLD toothless 19 year old LOVES IT :D

Seems that the cats really like this food and no negative reactions to it.

Cats seem to really enjoy this food. Of course, how can we really know. Cats are not the most communicative animals. No issues though and thus, highest ratings!

Happy Kitty

You think you have the most particular picky kitty??? No....because my kitty has the most finicky palate and will not eat just anything. She does love Iams Proactive Health Original Adult Dry Cat Food. I get the chicken flavor and that's fine with her. She is not the normal cat that eats fish or beef or anything similar, her pick is chicken breast only. I actually cook her food for her and freeze it and just portion it out in 2 ounce portions with bone broth. She loves that and because I put the Iams Proactive Health Original Adult Dry Cat Food out for her to nibble on all day. She loves it and comes running when I open the bag as if its a new thing for her. Its a reasonably priced food and its great to put out for her all day and night for her cravings. She also gets treats to supplement. I really hope they never get rid of this product because my kitty wouldn't be able to deal.
