Great Steamer for the Price - Love See Though Top

Ordered and arrived within two days purchasing for a friend. My friend was very happy with their purchase telling me it's a perfect size, strong, sturdy and loves the see through top with steam vent hole so they can see vegetables cooking. Cleaning easy since made of stainless steel and will last a long time. Price very reasonable and would recommend.

my last steamer was heavier than this 1 but so narrow that the veggies were pilled so high on each other. This has a wider basket so you are not having to cook it as long because it is not so layered. WAY better weight also, because other was so heavy and I had a hard time with it because of the weight. This steams up my cauliflower so nicely. VERY NICE AND VERY HAPPY WITH THIS.

Love this thing.. In the process of cleaning up the diet to partake of more whole unprocessed veggies etc and in the process of getting dentures - this allows me to steam large volumes of broccoli,cauliflower and other veggies to a consistency that will allow me to continue to consume them as I transition and heal after my oral surgeries

Convenient. Simple. Satisfied.

This is going to be my go-to pot for most basic cooking. I've been using the bottom pot to cook quinoa while the top steams my veggies at the same time making a complete meal for one easily and quickly with minimal clean up. The bottom pan without the steamer on top it's shorter than most regular pans thus making it fit easily on the shelves of my small fridge should I have any left-overs.

Great steamer set

Love this steamer set. It works perfectly and the price is right. Much better than the one I just had to throw away because it was constructed so that the top sat too low in the pot and you couldn't add much water. So I always ended up burning the pot!! No problem with this one.

No more waterlogged potatoes

I Purchased this steamer because I got tired of boiling potatoes for mashed potatoes, with this steamer you can have potatoes ready to mash in less than 20 minutes and no more cooking away your potatoes, the taste is completely different, steaming your potatoes means no more waterlogged potatoes so you will probably need to use more butter and milk or however you like to prepare your mashed potatoes, you will probably will be kicking yourself thinking why did I not buy a steamer years ago.

Nearly perfect for my purposes

1. It is stainless steel and machine washable; however, the dishwasher and detergent will probably discolor it after a while. Personally, I care that it works, not what it looks like. 2. It is very light, which it should be. It's just for boiling water. No reason to have pounds of metal. 3. Even though it's light it seems durable. I think you'd have to whack it pretty hard to dent it. 4. The pans are not as tall as expected. This could be an issue it you are boiling for a long time, you might need to replenish the water. Also, if you don't want the water from the bottom bubbling up into the food in the top then you will want to avoid putting much water in it. 5. Even though it's shorter than expected it holds a lot of food. When I put a one-pound bag of frozen mixed vegetables in it, it looks like I could fit two more bags if necessary. 6. The handles seem sturdy. They get hot so you will need pot-holders. 7. The lid rattles sometimes but spinning it a little usually gets rid of the rattle. 8. A lot of steam escapes from where the two pans meet. Not sure how much that matters though. It's almost as good as the aluminum one I had for years until I melted it to the stove. I think it's nearly perfect and for the price I don't know why you wouldn't buy it. At least, it is nearly perfect for the way I use it (I throw frozen veggies in it and maybe a piece of fish, sausage, or shrimp and dinner is done 15 to 20 minutes later) but maybe you have different criteria.

Great steamer. It's well made and very durable. I like that it has a glass lid and it's just the right size. I highly recommend this product. I am going to buy another one for my sister's birthday after she saw ours and loved it.

Wonderful Buy!

This is an excellent buy for the price! It's a bit wider than my old (far more expensive) steamer so it's better for fitting ears of corn and large artichokes. I also love the glass lid, which his a tiny, steel-reinforced hole in it to let steam out. That's very clever and I've never seen a lid like that before. Cleans up really well, still bright and shiny, in the dishwasher too.

This is a great product, and good looking as well. Very functional. I have found that we have more fresh vegetables, steamed to perfection, so that should improve our health and weight. With the glass lid, you can watch and see your broccoli, brussels sprouts turn the exact bright color green! Good for fresh carrots, green beans, cauliflower. It is wide enough to contain a variety of vegetables at one time.
