LOVE THIS. So Worth it! Thank you !!!
I fully recommend this. I would buy it again. Actually next time I will get the 4 pack because each one of this is for a Quarter of the year. And only after 4 days of using it I am sure I will want this for the whole year. First I thought that was odd that it is only for 13 weeks, but it makes fully sense. At the start I can write down my main 3 big goals for Quarter 1 of 2019. Each of them dissect them on 3 tasks. And each on 3 steps. It has a weekly milestones list and a habit / activity track. Among other things. I love the daily pages, it has a space for self reflection. daily goal and targets. lessons learned & wins. You can date it so it doesn't start on Jan 01. It is keeping me motivated on my goals. I am also learning that I sometimes am too naive about my goals and anyways everyday learning about towards strategic goal planning.

Grateful for Improved Productivity
This journal has allowed me to start and end the day in the right frame of mind. I have always been fairly productive, but as I prepare to defend my dissertation, apply for faculty jobs, write journal articles, teach my courses, and observe student teachers, I have to be very intentional about my time. The journal has allowed me to see where I am losing time and has improved my productivity drastically. In fact, I am doing more work than ever before, but feeling more relaxed and energized. I also like writing out what I am grateful for and my wins for the day as this helps me see that I am improving. I am so thankful for the journal and I really like how my goals are always in focus. Fantastic product that I would suggest to anyone.

got it for personal goals and awful habit breaking
you have to want to do it. i found just buying it was motivation for me. it's not a cheap planner IMO. i had it for a week before starting it. i planned the goals and waited for a monday to start. it's best to read the manual. i wanted to start when i got it but it's daunting and i really wanted everything in order before i threw myself into it and i've found it was the better way to go. the reviews on their site that give 2-4 stars and ask for features, i've found, they've already added in a lot of the features requested. so as you progress and if you choose to provide feedback on things you'd like to see, you may see them in your next 13 week journal. overall, after 3 days, yea it's not much, but i enjoy using it and have ALREADY seen some progress. i think it's the daily accountability you put on yourself by using it when you wake up and before bed. i'll update at the end if i buy another or if i found i couldn't stick with it. it's a sturdy journal. i don't think i'll tear it up. one of the bookmarks has started to fray a little but i'll probably just put a little electrical tape on it or burn the ends with a lighter, my dog may have got it but he's sneaky so it's hard to tell. the pages and binding are solid though. you do save a little if you subscribe but i'm not there yet. also the subscription from their site is 12 weeks, so after 13 journals, you'll probably have to postpone one. that's a lot of commitment and time though (over 4 years using the journal) 4 stars on value for money for now since i've already seen progress 4 stars on ease of use, because i read the manual first 5 stars on overall sturdiness, it's solid

but I'm so glad I didn't wait
I got my Journal last Tuesday and started right away (I'm on Day 8) - lol I've never started a calendar on Tuesday before, but I'm so glad I didn't wait. This journal is what I would create for myself if I created the perfect journal. I have literally been printing out my own journal pages for the last year because I just couldn't find one that worked for me. They are all either too "time management" focused or too "define your goals and dreams "focused. When I saw the ad for the SELF Journal on Facebook, I was completely amazed at how perfect it was for me. Just the right mix of time management, goals, and gratitude. Yearly goal planners are too much for me. My life seems to change quickly and by the time I'm at month 3 of the yearly planner, my goals have completely shifted to some degree. It's not that I change my long-term goals, but something in my life will change, or a new idea for how to reach my goals will be presented to me. Who am I to tell God/The Universe how to do the magic? I'm just along for the ride... The binding on the journal is excellent quality and it lays flat so that it's easy to write in. I would like to see a few more color options. I got the blue and it's a very pretty slate blue. It comes with 3 divider ribbons and an elastic band to hold your place (The yellow ribbon has already started to fray, so there's room for improvement there.) The layout is awesome and allows the freedom to make your own lines and get creative. There's a great section in the back for random ideas and notes. I've seen a lot of feedback from other people wanting more help in defining their goals, but I think that's a different book altogether. Once you understand how to do that, you don't want all of those instructions taking up room in your journal. It's a bit pricey but well worth the cost. I've been way more focused on my goals and have been able to spend my time consciously. It's a win for me.

Great all around daily task and goals journal - I'm on my 4th journal
I've used several of the journals out there and this is by far the best. There are 3 main reasons why this one rocks and why I would recommend for any entrepreneur. 1. Today 2. Goals 3. Personal Development & motivation Today, meaning it helps me tackle the things I need to do each day. Many of the other books focus just on goals and the 5 things you can do each day to make those goals happen. That's great and all, but what about that client project due today? What about all the other things that have to happen today. It's not real life. The Best Self journal does a great job of giving me the space to collect my thoughts, organize and attack each day. Goals - I set quarterly goals and there is ample area each day for me to see if I am winning or losing the battle :) I also really like the 13 week goals chart included with the journal. It helps me chart week by week on my way to my goal. I will say that as an entrepreneur, most of my goals end up being sales/profit related. So, I break my goal down into daily goals and give my self a plus or minus. Personal Development & motivation - I love having a quote each day as well as the gratefulness blanks for me to log what I am grateful for. I stopped using the book for a month as a test to see how I would do without it and one thing I really missed was the gratefulness portion of each day. I really think it allowed me to remember the good, small things like my family and my health and vast opportunities that I had each day. Seriously, if you're still reading this, just got buy this journal. The longer you wait, the longer until you see some results!!

None compare
First off, it's very rare I make a review unless I really like/dislike a product. This journal is literally the exact tool I've been looking for. As an entrepreneur I've tried many different journals such as Passion Planner, 10x Planner by Grant Cardone, and your typical Walmart planners. Although I really enjoyed 10x Planner for its goals, targets, and success areas, it lacked variety and space to write down notes. Passion Planner was very good because it had 12 months, a to do list and monthly reflections, but it lacked micro goals and the text was so small I couldn't really write any notes and there was no goal section (which is huge for me). This planner is a combination of both and has the simplistic spice of the 5 minute journal. A must have to increase motivation and productivity! AND ONE MORE THING... The quality and durability of this planner is where it really shines. I'd say it's twice as durable as the passion planner and 10x more durable than the 10x planner lol. Seriously great purchase for anybody trying to up their game.

Years later and I can't live without these
I feel that these planners are what I've been looking for my entire adult life. As a psychologist I appreciate the evidence-based tools for motivation and work/life balance that are seamlessly implemented into the system. The minimalist design allows me to easily write over anything I need to change, such as re-writing the hours on the margin of the page if I sleep in or need to work late. Writing out my daily priorities has changed my mindset and workflow. Also I now have a record of all the time I've spent working since I first started getting these planners. This is handy for billing clients, tracking time spent on projects, and also just personal reasons since it's a very consistent diary of sorts as well. Every inch of every page is useful. I honestly can't think of any ways I'd improve this system. I can't recommend these highly enough for how much I appreciate them in my every day life. I just ordered this four volume set for about $100 which I was pleased to see includes the "graduate" edition of the planners that I was sad to not find last time around. This means the front material explaining how to use the journals has been removed. The four-volume set contains a separate packet with that information. I am tempted to buy 10 of these multi-sets so I am set for 10 years.

I love this book
This journal has been so helpful for me. It helped me lose weight by setting the goal and breaking it down AND figuring out what habits I needed in place. My work tends to be chaotic and it's helped me immensely in the part of my life as well. I'm on my 2nd journal and this one I'm re-focusing on work (it's been 6 months and I've started a new job), training my dogs, and getting my new house in order. Yes, they focus a lot on the business aspect of goals, I'd say this journal is amazing for anyone who just doesn't know where to start with goals that they can't ever seem to nail down. Make it work for you!!!

More than a paper planner, an organizer of your mental processes. A MUST HAVE!
I can seriously say this planner is saving my life. For all chaotic, busy and creative minds out there, this journal is the perfect item to have to keep track of your goals and your everyday tasks. My effectiveness at work and my personal projects has increased 200%. This is so much better than other planers because you have enough space to write down all your pending tasks and sub-tasks, and at the same time you can set monthly and weekly goals, and then break them down into smaller objectives. I also appreciate so much the fact it comes with a manual and even internet resources where you can learn hor to prioritize, and how to organize your brain. I would say this is the most important attribute of this planner: more than a paper planner, it organizes your mental processes. This is a MUST HAVE for any busy, creative person out there.

My husband was disappointed to find that this was apparently an older version ...
This was the second Self journal my family ordered within about 2 weeks. My husband was disappointed to find that this was apparently an older version of the journal -- the page formatting is different, two of the Result goals appear at the end of the journal instead of all at the beginning, and only 1 bookmark string instead of 3. I wish there had been a way of knowing which version we were ordering so we could have gotten two of the same. We both like the newer version that I'm using better. Edited to add: Terrific customer service! We were sent two new journals, both the latest version. Thanks!
