Simple Design - Works Perfectly.
I absolutely adore these to bits! I had another set that was very similar to this one, but my mom tried them out and loved them so much that I ended up giving them to her. : ) So far I like this set a bit better, as the bottom's are quite as rounded (ie. a little more stable). You really need very little water when using these - if you add too much you'll have to dab your eggs dry with a paper towel. Though this is also convenient because less water in the pot means that much sooner the water boils and you can get to cooking. For me, I like to cook these for exactly six minutes. They have the perfect "in between" consistency of cooked and dippy. If you prefer them very dippy, try five minutes. And likewise, if you prefer them mostly cooked through, try seven to eight minutes. It really depends on your personal preference, so you may have to experiment a couple times. Once you figure it out though it comes out the same way every time, which I love. <3 Again, just make sure there's not too much water (I add about an inch or so to the bottom of the pot) and that you only add the egg cups AFTER the water has come to a boil (otherwise the cooking times I mentioned above won't line up). Also, muy importante, you should always use a lid to cover your pot with. This helps to make sure that the egg is cooked evenly. I also spray the bottoms with Pam (you could use butter or something of the like though) to keep the egg from sticking. If you do this, the eggs will slip out perfectly and cleaning the cups is a breeze. Just give them a wipe down and they're good. Overall, for this price especially ($4.95 for a pack of four cups at the time of writing this review), this is an amazing deal and I'd purchase this again in a heartbeat. I never knew how easy and just how much I loved poached eggs until I got these. Ps. Oh, I almost forgot! The petals on the rims of the cup are especially helpful! My last ones didn't have that, so I had to use a large spoon to pull them out of the hot water when they were done. Now I can just grab a petal on either side and pull it out with my hands. Very convenient design.

Work very well!
I have been using a pan with a nonstick poaching insert for years. The coating is wearing off so I decided to try these pods. They are a bit thinner than expected but that probably helps the eggs cook faster. I really like that these have high sides sll the way around. Keeps the water out nicely. These do take a tiny bit longer to poach eggs than my metal pan, but that mskes sense because with that I sm putting eggs into the hot insert whereas with the pods I put the egg in the pod and then put the pod in the hot water, so the pod is cold when it goes in and has toheat up before the egg can start cooking. Totally reasonable and it is only about a thirty second difference. I find these pods work as expected and I like them very well. Follow the directions and they work exactly as advertised. I am quite happy and would recommend them to someone else.

Much better than dropping eggs in hot water
We eat a lot of poached eggs in our house, but I’ve always just used the traditional approach of dropping eggs in hot water. This works fine as long as you get the water temperature right, but they often spread out and leave residue in the pan. They just never look neat and round like you get in a restaurant. So, when I saw the silicone cups I just had to give them a try. We have quite a few silicone products and I’m a big fan. This is a set of 4 sturdy poaching cups, each in a separate color. My package included step-by-step instructions for poaching the eggs. I used a large sauce pan, filled it with about 2 inches of water, and then put it on my gas burner to boil. While I was waiting for it to boil I lightly sprayed the cups with cooking spray and cracked one egg into each of them. Once the water came to a boil I turned the burner down to simmer and placed the cups into the pan. They floated nicely on the water (I had been a little worried that they might not stay upright). I put the lid on the pan and set the timer for 3 minutes. They weren’t quite done, but an additional minute did the trick. I scooped the cups out of the water with a slotted spoon (be careful – they’re hot) and placed them on a plate. I first tried removing the eggs from the cups with a teaspoon, but quickly realized that a larger serving spoon would work much better. I just scraped the spoon around the edges and then scooped out the egg. So, the whole process took between 5 and 6 minutes. I really liked having a clean pan when the eggs were done cooking (there was no leakage, and no tipping of the cups). And I especially liked how nice and neat my eggs turned out. You can see from the pictures that there was some residue left in the cups, but I just sloshed them around in warm soapy water and it washed right out. I’m really happy with these cups and will recommend them to my friends and family. This product was provided for free or at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Best Egg Poacher Ever!
I gave these to a friend a while ago and he flipped over them. He was discussing these with a friend of his, raving about the convenience, easy and quality of them. So I decided to buy another set for HIS friend. These are truly so easy to use, easy to clean, make uniform eggs and are fun! No one has to add vinegar to the water and stand and swirl the egg around. It's a much more sensible way to make poached eggs.

Really like this product
Really like this product. We love poached eggs but they're a little tricky. Was doing them in microwave (see YouTube) but they only turned out good about 50% of the time, and then they were watery. These things work GREAT. Get your pot's ( I like a pot that's a little deep so cup will be suspended above bottom surface) water boiling, though not crazy boiling, spray cups with oil place in water COVER, and in 6 minutes you've got wonderfully poached eggs!!! We're eating a lot more eggs these days. With DavesGoodSeed bread toasted-mmm mmm.

What a wonderful product!!!
I love these egg poacher cups! I have had poached eggs almost every day since these arrived. So easy to use and pretty too. I'm not sure what some others are talking about the eggs sticking and hard to clean!! (Follow the directions people!) I spray it with canola spray, crack in the egg, cover and simmer 5 minutes, lift it out with a slotted spoon and the egg just slips right out onto my toast!! Washes up with some soapy water and dries super fast. So easy and satisfying!! Yay, yummy poached eggs. Worth every penny!

I Egg Your Pardon
I have no idea what the typically ubiquitous complainers are doing that they can't figure out these complicated pieces of astro-mechanical thermal engineering. Mine arrived with no instructions, but I remembered to spray the insides with a little canola oil. I dropped them in the semi-roiling water. I put the lid on the pan. I checked them frequently and jiggled the pan to see how watery the yolks looked. Time stood still as this mystifying process unveiled several layers of meaning and doneness. When there was the slightest hardening of the topmost skin of the yolk, I removed them and flipped them upside down onto our plates. Mondo perfecto! Easy-peasy. Simple as pie (actually, that one always puzzled me). Slick as green owl poop (but much tastier, I bet). Company was duly impressed. Never going to make another fried egg and risk the over-easy, 2 out of 3 yolk break. I am the eggman. They are the eggmen. I am the walrus. Koo koo ka choo!

They are easy to use.
The biggest thing I like about the egg poachers is that I can use them in the microwave to cook an egg for an egg sandwich in 90 seconds. I get up at 5:00am to get ready for work and leave the house at 6:00 for my 30 mile commute. I like to haves eggs for breakfast or an egg sandwich on an English muffin. I found that I can put an egg in a cup, after putting a tiny amount of oil in it and microwave a perfectly cooked egg in 90 seconds which saves a lot of time and clean up in the morning. The cups clean up easily and store stacked in a drawer taking up very little room.

Makes great poached eggs!!
These are just the coolest things ever! I have tried several times in he past to make poached eggs, and never could get the hang of it. Earlier this year, I stayed in a hotel that had a beautiful tray of poached eggs on their buffet table every morning, and hey were so good. Now I can make beautiful poached eggs at home with these poacher cups...and it's fun and never makes a mess...the pot doesn't even get dirty because the cups float! Such a great idea, and definitely worth the price!

good way to poach.
My wife loves poached eggs, and after trying and failing spectacularly to do it straight in the roiling water, I gave up and bought these. I use a little olive oil on the sides to grease them, and that works fine. You can flip them inside out for easier cleaning. The manufacturer provides many other tips to use these. The secret to me is to make sure the water is roiling but not boiling. If you like a runny yolk then 7 minutes works fine. Slightly runny about 9 minutes. A solid yolk should cook for 13+ minutes.
