Easy, fun, simple to learn.

Bought as a gift for my 7-year-old niece. She loves it!
I bought this kit for my 7-year-old niece. Raspberry Pis are fun and easy to put together. And cheap enough to be good "starter" computers for kids. I tried the OS's offered from NOOBS, but wanted one aimed at elementary kids that contained learning software and games, none of these worked. I finally found a perfect kid-friendly Linux distro that was light enough to run on the Pi. Using Etcher, (since I wiped NOOBS off the microSD) I burned Ubuntu Mate (again), then loaded the packages and desktop for "Edubuntu" which has a number of games and educational programs. It seems to run smooth and she loves all the programs offered. 5 stars for the Pi!

This is an excellent example of a well put together kit
This is an excellent example of a well put together kit. We'll thought out and easy to assemble. It included everything needed to get started. The pi runs well and looks sleek inside the tiny case included in the kit. Of note, the included 32gig micro SD was evidently improperly formatted from the start. NOOBS was unable to boot completely and as such I was unable to install one of the base OS's. This didn't bother me however because I had decided on an OS and kodi distro combibation already. The included micro SD to usb converter made it extremely easy to reformat the disk and drop a Bootable image onto it. In all, I had the tiny computer up and running in my living room in less than an hour. Dropping files onto the unused portion of the disk using samba shares is all to easy. And command line is a quick ssh terminal away. Loving this little box of fun.

Great Starter kit for the RaspberryPi 3!
This is a great starter kit for those starting to learn about the RaspberryPi 3 computer. You get all you need to power, connect, and put together the RaspberryPi. While the instructions are very basic, you can get additional help online through many resources and videos online. There are some great books on Amazon too! What's not included is a HDMI compatible monitor, a USB compatible mouse and keyboard. While you can just buy the RaspberryPi 3 card by itself for a lower price, this kit contains all you need to power up and get going without having to buy cables, memory card and case separately.

Love it! Bowser and Ganondorf, here I come!
I was very impressed with the packaging, as well as the fit and finish of the components. The thermal pads for the heatsinks are a little weak, but my understanding is that the heatsinks aren't essential, especially if you're not going to be overclocking it. I had everything assembled and the included SD card flashed with RetroPie v4.1 within about 20 minutes, and after some minor controller setup I was up and playing my favorite NES games. My N64 games were quite laggy...almost unplayable, but I'm using the stock emulator with questionable ROMs, so I do not believe this is a function of the RaspberryPi and if you don't plan on using it for RetroPie, then it doesn't matter. One observation I have is that if you're going to use the Pi for other types or projects that will leverage the GPIO pins, you'll need to think through how you route the wires into the case. The lid does not fit flush (by design) so there *is* a gap big enough for wires and/or a ribbon cable, but you may need to do some custom cutting of the case if you have something fancier in mind.

Very cool toy!
And a bit more, I use it with Kodi to manage movies and music on my media servers (2 of them). If you want a small Linux machine to play with, works great as a computer too, with LibreOffice installed by default. You can also install most Linux goodies. Found it a bit wanting for web browsing support (with both Chromium and Firefox), but that's not the computer's fault, it's the apps. Again, excellent as a media server (with LibreElec Kodi, which comes pre-installed). Very stable and does not overheat, if enough air flow allowed around it. For intense use, probably a good idea to install a CPU fan.

Everything you need to build a Raspberry Pi
My first experience with a Raspberry Pi. Looked around and after reading numerous reviews of kits I chose this one. It has everything you need to get up and running with Raspberry Pi. I used it to create a "Time Capsule" (Time Machine) to backup the three MacBooks our household has. It works great, though a pretty slow for the initial backup. (wired networking proved faster than the WfFi) There are several "recipes" on how to do this project, as well as many other projects for this versatile little computer. Also bought a second, smaller kit from CanaKit on Amazon, and built a retro gaming console for one of my daughters for Christmas.

I cannot describe how amazing the rasberry pi is
I cannot describe how amazing the rasberry pi is. It is a device of empowerment to the individual at a cost that is astoundingly low. I am happy knowing I can do whatever I want with it. Out of the box I can choose which operating systems to set up. It couldnt be any easier. I mostly use it as a kodi media player in my vehicle and plays 1080p movies with ease. I also connect it to my bluetooth speaker. The Cannakit is solid as it comes with everything you need to start with. While the case may be a bit less scratchproof than I thought it would be, it serves its function very well and looks great, especially with that logo.

Great for frustrated Nintendo customers who are computer literate.
This is basically all you need to make a small, portable emulation box. Anyone who had their time wasted by Nintendo while trying to get their hands on an nes classic edition should consider this kit. Keep in mind, you need to be computer literate if you're going to get all the mileage you can out of this kit. At the very least, have someone who can help you out. It will take the better part of a day to customize the Pi to your tastes if you are going the emulation route and want to put a lot of detail into the frontend (menu), otherwise you can just install Retropie and throw some roms in there and be playing with the stock setup in short order. How to do this can be found through Google. You'll also want to replace the stock case with something that has a fan, despite what some people say, the Pi3 WILL overheat without a fan. You also want one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018BFWLRU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to power the unit on, off, since there is no power button. The best part about this is you'll have access (once you properly set up each emulator-Google helps) to NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Genesis/Megadrive, Sega CD, Master System, Game Gear, Neo Geo, PC Engine/Turbografx-16, Playstation, Arcade games, etc. WARNING: For those looking to emulate N64 games, look elsewhere. as the Raspberry Pi doesn't do it justice beyond Mario 64. Basically, you're not going to be running Goldeneye on this thing at a playable speed. If this all sounds good to you, consider taking the plunge and enjoy.

Everything you need to get going in one package.
Everything you need to get going. I used mine to make an arcade.
