It is a great microwave for a compact size
Bought this microwave to replace an older model that died. It is a great microwave for a compact size, but I can't help feeling ripped off paying such a high price for it. If I had the space, I could have a bigger microwave for less money. For a compact microwave, it has all of the features we use as I don't do much with it, except defrost frozen items, warm up veggies/soup, and sometimes pop popcorn. I might use more features if I had them, but I am extremely limited to a specific size oven. It cooks well and quickly; the sensor settings seem to be accurate. There is an interior light when you open the door and while cooking. The control panel is difficult to see if you don't have decent lighting where the oven sits. I have noticed it is much quieter than the previous one. In fact, you can hardly hear it when it's running. I am not a fan of the stainless steel, as I am constantly having to wipe off fingerprints, but the bisque finish I had is no longer available. Overall, this is a great little over; just over priced when compared to larger ovens with more features.

Unique size fits the bill
Possibly the only microwave of its size. Works great, but not the most powerful microwave you'll ever own

GE should include the install template
Easy to install, very quiet. Looks great. But the unit does not have the template or hardware to attach it under the counter. It took some digging around but I found the hardware for about 12$. But the template was a bit more difficult to sort out. Once I found it the next problem was not being able to print it on a regular printer in full size, in the end I figured it out and made my own template.

Fits on a twelve inch shelf!! Amazing!
This microwave is amazing! It's gorgeous and looks beautiful on my 12 inch shelf! I think this is one of the very few microwaves that fit on a 12 inch shelf which is the reason why I bought it. It won't fit a full sized dinner plate but will fit a salad plate, which is fine. If you need it to fit under a small shelf, get this one! If you don't have to worry about space, you might want a bigger one. It's very sturdy and it's super quiet.

Pretty, sleek, quiet, and the right depth to fit on an upper cabinet shelf
Purchased to replace a 12 year old model of this microwave. The improvements are notable: prettier (more stainless, less black, softer looking sonehow) and quieter in operation. Fewer specific touch pad control buttons, most of which I never used anyway. As far as I could research, it is still the only available lesser-depth microwave (12-ish inches deep), which is what I want on the open shelf in my cabinets. I might not have had an alternative, but I'm very glad to have this one.

Absolutely fantastic. I was a little worried about long cook ...
Switched from a full over range microwave to this little guy. Absolutely fantastic. I was a little worried about long cook times, coming from our 1400 watt model to this 800 watt microwave. I guess that's actually irrelevant? Or in some way mitigated? Because it doesn't really seem to take any longer to heat up a mug than the old one did. And it still fits our (Corelle standard) dinner plates. Power cord layout is nice and sensible and is attached to a portion of the back that isn't quite as deep as the rest of it, so you should be able to bend and route it easily. The only thing I'd ding it on is a crappy timer / cook end time tone. It just lets out a single pitiful "beeeep" and then sits silent. I think it lets out a reminder tone every minute. This is pretty much not usable as a kitchen timer unless you are right there in the room with it. Not going to dock a star for this but it is something they could easily improve.

Slim & Trim
Long & narrow, this fits perfectly in a small kitchen. We bought it to replace the identical model we had for many many years, hung with a bracket under the cupboards. (BTW - The old one still works fine, but is white and we wanted stainless/black). The only changes we notice are the round tray that rotates (rather than stay-in-place rectangular glass tray), and a number of new buttons for food heating options. Looks great, and works great but, just to be clear, this won't accommodate large dinner plates or such.

Very pleased with this GE Profile microwave oven.
So far I like it very much. It is much quieter than my previous microwave oven. It was purchased for installation under a cabinet in a spot where few microwave ovens could fit. I would not recommend for purchase as a counter-top appliance because the top is not meant to be visible (it is not finished in stainless steel).

It looks great with the trim kit around it
This is the only microwave on the market at a reasonable price for the opening we needed. It looks great with the trim kit around it, like a built in. The power at only 800watts is half of what I'm used to, but I don't really cook in it just reheat things so that is fine. Just know it will take longer if you are used to a higher wattage microwave! Also, a regular size plate will fit in it, so that's good.

Good product for a compact, under cabinet installation.
This is a replacement of a similar model. We were pleased enough to stick with the same brand and configuration. I like the new one better principally because it is much quieter. The under cabinet installation was funky at best. 4 mounting screws aligned as a trapazoid without a mounting template.
