Stops 4-legged children, too!

We have twin boy kitties who are not quite a year old yet. Being nocturnal creatures with an abundance of curiosity (they don't seem to care what it does to cats), they LOVE sneaking into closets during the night to play and explore. Needless to say, we've grown tired of waking up to the sound of them crashing around as they tear apart the linen closet, so we decided to give these a try. Peace of mind

My son is autistic, 2.5 yrs old and figured out how to unlock the sliding glass door, take the wood stopper out of the track and took off and knocked on a neighbors who we don’t know door. I was a balling mess when I finally found him and he was having the time of his life but I went on amazon to find something to get ASAP. I read the directions and installed it in like a minute and after a month or so it still holds up and I have no fear at all he will get the door open with it.

I use these on my patio door to keep my 7yo special-needs granddaughter from either getting out or letting her little brother out. I placed them as high as possible so she can't reach them with a chair. My only problem was that one time she tried opening the door rapidly and with great force and was able to cause the product to collapse so she could open the door. I added a second one right below the first and have had no further issues. For kids without behavior issues this would probably never be a problem. The adhesive is phenomenal. I have had these in place about a year in a humid coastal environment with frequent rapid weather changes.

Been using these for about 2 months, got a 4 pack so one at our house and the other two were used and my mom's and also my dad's. When we forget they are on we can't open the door and my sister literally thought the door lock on the handle was broken and not unlocking because she couldn't get it open last night. So safe to say these work really well. We did wait a full 24 hours after we applied it to the window before we used it and even longer at both my parent's houses because we aren't over there every day. And we have them pushed up as far as possible to the actual door so there is no gap at all. If you follow those steps I don't see why these wouldn't work just as well for you & your exploring little kiddos.

Upon seeing them in person I thought that there was no way that they would work, but I was wrong. They really lock the door in place and work exceedingly well. Installation was easy, just follow the instructions and allow the proper time for the adhesive to set before you use it.

Better than a wooden stick

My toddler has recently been opening our older patio doors and running outside so we were looking for an easy solution to keep him inside. Initially we put a wooden stick on the track, but it was a hassle even for use to bend down and take it out when we wanted to open up the door. Plus now there was a wooden stick he wanted to play with and hit things with. This lock works great!! It's very easy to use. We just flip it up when we don't want him to get out and down when we want free access in and out. It just sticks on and is holding up well.

Amazing

Was very hesitant when I got these. They looked like they couldn't possibly hold back my 2 year old when he is on a mission to open our patio door. Due to how simple it was to lock and unlock and the adhesive. But how wrong I was to judge! First, the price is amazing for the amount you get. Secondly, they are beyond amazing. My son is pretty strong when it comes to our heavy patio door. Just ONE of these has stood up to him. Of course this does not replace parental supervision, but it is a nice sigh of relief to have a product help safety proof one of our biggest issues! Thank you for a great product. **edit: I live in military housing so it's always been hard to find good safety products that don't require drilling or leaving marks when removing. I highly recommend these!!!

Excellent product

These are great, I was so glad I had them on hand the day my daughter suddenly discovered she could pull up to stand on the side of our tub and try to climb in as I used the toilet. I slapped one of these on the sliding glass shower door and boom! No more risk of falling in, drowning, burning herself, or hitting her head. I immediately put them on all the sliding closet doors too and within days she was trying to stand up on them but this product kept them from sliding open and dumping her on her poor little head or letting her get into all our stuff. Install took moments and was incredibly easy, just make sure your doors are slid all the way shut when you first position them as once that tape hits the glass, they are NOT coming off without a hairdryer.

I needed something to keep my almost 3 year old from opening our sliding door so I purchased these after reading some of the reviews. My son recently learned how to unlock the lock on the handle of the door and escapes into our back yard before I can notice he’s opened the door. I installed 2 of these locks and he is so mad at me because he can’t get it to open now. 👌🏻😜 He grunts and pulls and nothing happens and now I have a little more peace of mind that he’s not escaping when my attention is elsewhere in the moment. 🙌🏻 The locks are easy to lock/unlock and the door opens and closes just fine with them installed. I definitely recommend them. 👍🏻

Great for Cat Proofing too !

I purchased these door locks to keep my very persistent and STRONG cat from pulling open the closet door, rummaging through my things and clawing at my hanging clothes. Just one lock is all I needed. It was very easy to install. When I let the cat back into the room, she nearly went crazy trying to get her favorite door open, but nothing worked! (It was pretty funny to watch :-) Anyway, I can't speak to how this holds up over time, since I have only had it up a week, but it is definitely doing its job! I am very pleased, and would recommend to others. Arrived very quickly too. Thanks!
