Low price, powerful and dynamic radio
A really amazing piece of equipment for a very low price. The blue-tooth alone makes it so worth the money. I should mention that the microphone is not perfect but exceptional for making or receiving calls. Add the auxiliary plug in and USB connection. I mean, what do ya want for cry eye. AM FM with a slew of presets. Needless to say, I am very happy with this purchase. Installation is what it is, no matter what you buy, but this is a winner. I solder all my connections and then run a ground wire besides to be sure to eliminate any popping or static. CDs and cassettes are a kind of thing of the past , so that didn't make that choice a big question.

Blue tooth connection is amazing to his iPhone 7
UPDATE: 1 year later product is still amazing! Definite for the price! See original review: My son purchased this to replace his radio in his Pontiac Grand Prix. He loves it! Blue tooth connection is amazing to his iPhone 7. He can receive calls, play music, and make calls all hands free. Lights up and looks sharp! Great price point, too.

I had an old JVC unit in my truck that was starting to go bad, so i decided to explore amazon for a good replacement. The wiring harness that comes with this actually has labels on each individual wire so you dont have to keep referring to the instruction booklet like most radios. I got it installed in about 20 minutes. The sound difference blew me away, for the price this thing performs like a 150+ unit.

Perfect solution for my application
I read a lot of bad reviews on this item, but for $20 I went ahead and took a chance. I’ve read where it won’t turn on or won’t turn off after installation. I suspect it’s wired in wrong. Yours burned up? Probably trying to drive too much speaker. I don’t know. I wasn’t there. But this unit is working fine for my application which was not installing it in a car. I have put together a pretty nice back yard with lots of greenery, lighting and water features and I wanted to add some sound to play creature sound effects like crickets and frogs as well as music. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and I already had speakers. I bought this unit as well as a step down transformer adapter, (total cost under $30). I did buy 250 feet of heavy duty speaker wire which cost more than the radio and the adapter combined. Worth it. I cut the cigar lighter end off of the adapter and wired it directly to the adapter plug provided with the radio. I then wired the speakers around my property to the provided adapter plug to the radio. The setup worked flawlessly. In the evening, I now sit in front of a waterfall with a cold beer in my hand, a fire in the pit and listening to sound effects and music coming from the bushes. The unit itself pretty much does everything I need. I didn’t want or need a CD player or Bluetooth so I was good there. It played effects and music flawlessly from both the USB and the SD slots. I could repeat one track or all of them. The unit will play both MP3 and WMA files. Although the documentation doesn’t mention it, it will also play WAV files as long as they are only two channel. The unit gets slightly (barely) warm, but that is expected of any electronic device. I did experiment hooking up a sub woofer, but quickly disconnected it as the radio couldn’t drive it and started heating up pretty good. Trying to drive that thing was going to burn the radio up. An amplifier would be needed to add the woofer. I have no comment on the radio function as I don’t use it and didn’t even hook up an antenna. The unit has basic fade, base and treble controls or an equalizer with three or four options. I’ve been in the middle of a track on the SD card and switched over to the USB. When I switched back to the SD card it picked up right where it left off. Fast forward seems to move ahead about 15 seconds for every second you hold the button down. I did have my only issue when trying to fast reverse. Sometimes it seemed to work okay, but other times it didn’t seem to want to work. It may have been issues with whatever MP3 file I was trying to speed through that had the problem although they all played fine. I’m not worried about it as I really don’t use the function much. Some people have said certain functions or the entire unit fails in months, weeks or even days. I guess I’ll wait and see. It would be nice, as others have said, to have just the clock stay on the screen while playing music, but that’s not the case. All the information from your tracks keeps scrolling across the screen. Maybe there’s a way to do it, but if not it’s no big deal. I didn’t buy it for the clock. I haven’t even bothered to set the time. So far I’m very happy with my results.

Does just what it needs to do.
Let's be clear here. This thing is cheap-o, BUT I knew that going into it. I bought this for my work van (2011 Ford Transit Connect) to replace the factory stereo that had no bass or treble adjustability, no CD, no AUX.... it was getting old listening to Justin Beiber on 5 different radio stations. This Boss stereo is just that, boss (compared to what I had before) It is a no frills deal. I really can't nit-pick the minor things because I got it for 22 bux and did the install myself. Pros: Price AUX USB Equalizer Better than my old unit Cons: Volume between AUX and radio is off. Make sure to turn down your volume when you take your AUX plug out. No dimmer/no way to stop the graphic animation on the screen Can't play phone through USB

Best bang for your buck
For the 53 bucks this is the best bang for your buck, I've read other reviews that people left and it's just a bunch a b.s. it works perfectly .the Bluetooth connects automatically and starts to play the music without me pressing any buttons .making calls isnt the best but it gets the job done .couldnt asked for a better radio & for 50 bucks it's a steal ,don'the really know why people are complaing

Excellent radio at an excellent price!
I needed a radio for my old truck and this was perfect! It's got Bluetooth for hands free phone calls or streaming music from your phone. It plays cds,the radio picks up well, has a USB port and an auxiliary in port, and will read small sd cards! Even has a remote control! It was easy to install. Made my old 1978 truck feel thirty years younger!

What are people whining about?
For the price, one day delivery and a 1 year warranty, I don't get it. I wired it up, and it works right off the bat. It sounds just fine. Of course for 46 bucks, it's not going to blow your windows out, or sound like $10,000 dollars. I got it so I could play my phones music library, and it does that just fine. I haven't tried making any calls yet. The packaging left much to be desired though. They just slapped a shipping label on the outside of the original box.
