For the price, I was expecting...less. Pleasantly surprised at how large and comfortable the seat is: it is a bit firm but that is good, you won't fall asleep in it! Sliders work perfectly, a key to getting in and out once you set your positions on the adjustable wheel and pedal plates. My big friend who weighs 275 and is 6'3" can get in and out of it easily, although all the stops r almost fully adjusted out. Amazed and happy to find not only all hardware required, but also two full allen and two open-end/box end metric wrenches included, to keep with the rig. Instead of going to your toolbox for any adjustments. Also plenty of mounting bolts and washers, with extra wire-tie zips that are re-usable. Thank You! One last note - assembled, the rig is barely off of the floor. Fine for low mounted televisions, but if you have one in an entertainment system or mounted up on the wall, you will want to elevate the rig. To do this, you will need one real, old-style milk crate (goes under the seat) and one cheap jack-stand (goes under the foot pedal support bar) - that is all! If you don't use a shifter the support arm can be used as a wide support leg, but it isn't really necessary. Worth the price! The best rig you can find that will do the same solid job as the big old custom frames, without the multiple-thousand-dollar price tag.

I'm 6' 3" and quickly found a comfortable position for the wheel and pedals with the excellent range of adjustment possible. Great assembly instructions and high quality construction

This is a perfect example of how you can have low cost manufacturing and have a high quality end product! The assembly instructions were very easy to follow (although I wish they used a normal font) and the labeling for the various packages were clear and well done. The inclusion of all tools necessary saved me from running around finding the right hex wrench size and the right size crescent wrench. Everything was nicely packaged in a cloth zippered bag. It really felt like a quality product. It's clear that OpenWheeler takes their quality seriously too as all the parts are separately bubble wrapped and they appear to have wrapped the parts then done some minor assembly for things like the seat and wheel tray since the odd parts that stick our have perfect size cutouts in the bubble wrap. There was no damage to my packaging due to the care they planned and packed with and there were no blemishes in the black finish or on the seat cover, everything was perfect! This is a well thought out product in packaging and assembly. the good news is the seat is also very sturdy when playing and the adjustability of the seat (front/back and recline), the positioning of the wheel (front/back and height) and the positioning of the pedals (front/back) allow you to really dial in a comfortable setup. I don't have too much time on this seat yet, but I can't see any reason anyone would ever be uncomfortable using it. The materials all appear to be solid, the metal frame is robust without being bulky and the welds that hold the screws in place are all clean and nicely painted. There is no excessive flex and everything tightens up nicely, usially with 2 lock screws to ensure things stay firmly in place. The wheels on the bottom of the pedal holder are a nice and thoughtful addition to making it easier to move around. This is clearly a seat designed by the users and covers everything you could think of. I think the only thing the seat is missing is a cable handling system for the wheel, shifter and pedals. Great Product; Outstanding Customer Service

Very high quality product, and a great introduction to the racing simulation market for the price. I was immediately impressed with the heft and quality of the components when I received them, especially the seat, which is very comfortable and realistic. Setup was a snap, especially since all the required tools are included in the package, which is a great convenience. My unit ended up having a minor welding defect that mean the main post that slides into the chair would stay in place. When I requested a return for that reason, the seller responded immediately and not only gave me a full credit for the item, but immediately acknowledge the problem and shipped out replacement parts. I was extremely impressed with such an amazing level of customer service. The seller clearly cares about its products and will stand behind them to make sure its customers have an optimal experience. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some more racing to do. :)

Best customer experience in over 20 years as a consumer!

All in all my experience with this product and the seller has been absolutely fantastic. First, let's talk about the chair: It's a solid construction, functional, comfortable. You get value for money. Assembly is straightforward and you get ALL tools you'll need in the box. They even throw in some cable binders to make your setup neat and tidy. I am using this racing seat with a Logitech G920 Racing Wheel and everything fits perfectly. Now for the real kicker though: I had a crazy idea that it'd be great to somehow attach my Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Controller to this seat with the aim to play EVE: Valkyrie once Oculus Rift is released. I thought it'd be a long shot but I sent the seller an informal email anyway. They responded within minutes and offered to look into producing a custom modification for me. I went ahead and took measurements of the dimensions of the flight controller and sent it to them. They immediately got on it and today a week or so later I received my custom parts in the mail! They even included screws and fittings to attach the controller which saved me a trip to my local Home Depot. How crazy is that?! I'm over the moon and hope they make these attachments available commercially for other flight and/or VR enthusiasts. I certainly couldn't be any happier in regards to the product as well as the responsiveness and helpfulness of the seller. Thank you!

Great platform for racing and flight simulators! Well built and fast shipping from Team HomeRacer!

I am using this as a 3D cockpit flight simulator with my Oculus Rift. I contacted Team HomeRacer and was able to acquire custom mounts for my Thrustmaster HOTAS. Everything about this system is great. The unit comes incredibly well packed with a little assembly required. It comes with tools! The unit is sturdy and well built. I am very happy with this purchase and will be contacting the company again to get some extra parts so I can easily switch between flight and driving simulator. I have attached some pictures of my setup to this review.

The chair you have been looking for!

I have been shopping around for several months. I have been looking for something that is easy to move out of the way as I am setting it up in the middle of my VR space. I have an HTC Vive and sometimes play seated games and sometimes need to move around. Most sim chairs have built in for monitors, and are heavy and cumbersome to move around. This item is perfect for my VR cockpit. The build quality of the product is impressive. In no way does it feel cheap or shortcuts taken. I have attached pictures I have yet to cable manage as I am waiting on HOTAS mounts to come in and will update once that does and I have it neatly set up. Right now there are cables everywhere. I got it mostly for Elite Dangerous and soon to be Star Citizen. The assembly was simple and adjustments can be made on the fly as all the knobs are rubber coated and easily adjust. The chair fully reclines and slides forward or back on rails as a regular car seat would. Most important to me is its easy to move. There are two wheels in the front you can move the unit around easily. This allows me to move it out of the way so I can use my 16'x16x space for room scale VR games. Then simply wheel it back into location for seated VR games. If you are looking for something sturdy, movable for your VR space or sim needs this is the chair to get. I will update this with more pics once my setup is complete.

ordered this for the kids. 3 days before christmas....no less. 17 year old was home when it got delivered (i was still working christmas eve) He put it together and it has a nice solid build for playing gran turismo. he has the logitech wheel and pedals everything fits perfect! great item, great colors! 11-28-2015 UPDATE: here we are about a year later and everything is still in tact just like it was when we got it.

Quality Gaming Seat, easy assembly with G29 Console

Bought the OpenWheeler rig for my new Logitech G29. I will start with the package: It came in pretty large box, and couple more boxes with parts and hardware inside. Packaging was pretty good. Chair was bubble wrapped and all the rest of the parts were individually bubble wrapped in two additional boxes. Assembly: It took me about 20 minutes to assemble it and mount my Logitech G29 wheels and pedals on it. Assembly manual was pretty straight forward. I followed the short instructions with pictures step by step and no surprises there. Seat: The seat is made of fabric material, and it looks pretty solid. Seat itself is deep bright blue ( I picked the color). They had five or six more colors available If I am not wrong. The backrest has a little bump for my lumbar support which I like. I have done over 5 hours racing and the seat is very comfortable. Chassis: Chassis is all made of powder coated or zinc plated metal square tubing and plates. By eye, I would say the steel is about 1/8 thick. Everything is held together by rubberized handle knobs. Extremely adjustable: seat sliders, reclining backrest, up/down forward backward wheel position, forward backward pedal plate. I don’t plan on using gear shifter for the mount included in the kit so I am planning to come with something to make a cup holder out of it. My Logitech G29 bolted down right on. All hardware and some tools are included. I can definitely recommend the Openwheeler seat/stand and I am very happy with the G29 combo I chose.
