Bought this for my terrier mix so that he'd have somewhere to chill when we're outside. Assembly was easy and only took a few minutes. The fabric had a really strong, unpleasant smell when I took it out of the box. Another reviewer wrote that it smells like cigarettes - I'd say that's an accurate description. I left the cot out for a few days and the smell is gone now though, phew! My dog is 12 lbs and is 22 inches long from nose to tail. I went with the medium size so he'd have room to stretch out. He seemed a little skeptical of having to climb up on it at first - it's only 7.75 inches off the ground but I had to throw some toys on it to get him to try it out. It's only been a few days, but now he's hopping in and out of it like he's had it forever and seems happy with his new place to hang out!

My son dropped his 70lb puppy off with me to watch while he worked. He literally shredded every blanket that I gave him to sleep on. Next I moved onto those nice dog beds that have memory foam. Haha that was eaten before I got the price tag off. I was scrolling Amazon and this product popped up and had some good reviews and as a last ditch effort I hit the purchase button. It took a few minutes to set up and I patted the middle to show the dog that it was his. He jumped on it, walked in circles and laid down. He made a move to chew the side and I told him not to while shaking my finger. Let me get to the good part. He LOVES this bed! He literally will take the corner of it and drag it to the stairs at night with his shredded blankets and try to carry up to sleep in my room. The only problem with the bed is that now the cats fight with the dog for who gets to sleep on it. Sometimes the poor dog sleeps on the floor next to his dog bed because he knows the kitten will whack him. I think that I have to buy another one to keep them all happy. If you have a problem puppy like I do, don't hesitate to buy this dog bed. I got a size large and it was plenty big for a 70lb dog, and some cats lol

This is the best bed that I have ever purchased for my pooch. I had originally purchased a 2 inch memory foam bed for him and he HATED it. He would continually get too warm on it and just lay next to it rather than on it. I have hardwood floors and I wanted him to have a decent place to hunker down and chill. My trainer recommended this cot to me and I can't imagine not having it. We have had it for over a year and it still works like new! He can lay on this thing for hours and be super comfortable enough to "cockroach". My female cat has decided that she loves it too and will continually kick him out of his spot. Ha-ha. It is super easy to tear down and take with you, I like to bring it to bonfires so he doesn't have to lay in the sand after a long day of playing. My only suggestion is I wish they added a carry-bag for transport.

My dog and I absolutely love this product. Purchased the canapé too. My dog has used it for over a year and it still looks brand new.

This bed arrived 3 days before it said it would and our 6 month old Golden Retiever loves it! The size is perfect, we ordered the large, and it's strong enough to to hold his weight. He also loves to dig, scratch and chew the bed and even now ( we have had it about 3 weeks) there are no holes or tears in the fabric. I am very impressed!

Well...I don't know about these other people, and their negative reviews??...But I bought 2!!! One of my dogs is 120 lbs, the other is 70 lbs...?? I've already taken the covers off once and put them through the wash. BOTH are holding up PERFECTLY!! Almost they've never been used... And my larger dog is quite active and he stands on his ALL the time (which I'm always afraid that's what's going to damage the fabric, so I try to tell him to lay down or go to the other window when I see him standing on it to look outside), but so far he hasn't damaged it one bit. The stitching is still tight, I bought some $10 pads at Ross to give them some cushion to lay their heads on, and so far so good...So I don't know what these other people are talking about. The next time I take the fabric off to wash it, I will update with detailed pictures of the stiching, etc...cause these beds really are their favorite beds ever! My mom even bought one for her dog and she said it was holding up great as well. So 3 out of 3 in my experience have been awesome!

I bought the "large" version of this bed and almost bought the "extra large." I'm glad I didn't. My dog took to this thing right away. I thought I'd have trouble getting her to get on it and then to like it, but she seemed to instinctively know it was a great place to lay down and within 24 hours she and it have become inseparable. That may also have something to do with the fuzzy pad (same manufacturer) that I got to go along with it. Put them together and it's apparently very, very comfortable. Two unseen benefits, one of which has to do with my size comment earlier: (1) It's elevated. This seems to make it easier for her to feel as though she's "in bed" when next to my actual bed, which means she can feel great *and* I can reclaim space in my sleeping quarters that I'd previously thought gone forever. She gets to climb "up" to get into bed now without having to actually be in my bed. (2) Because it's a cot, when she lays in it it slopes downward toward the middle, like when someone sits in the middle of a trampoline. There is a kind of self-centering property at work here. I thought an XL might be necessary because on a floor pillow, she rarely manages to lay exactly in the center. Parts of her body are always extending off one side or another and so on. In this thing, she always ends up more or less in the middle, with no need for the extra size. Which means that it actually saves floor space while making her more comfortable than she was on a floor pillow. In short, it's a win and as a final bonus, because this has a removable pad, it will be more durable than other dog beds. Pad wears out? Get a new pad. It's far cheaper than buying an entire new dog bed over and over again. Basically—love it. And a great idea all around. Great product.

First of all, I have major challenges with putting anything together. I was able to assemble this by myself, with no help and without having to read instructions. That, in itself, was a win. My rambunctious pup, who still refuses to go into his doghouse after several months, was skeptical at first. After a few treats and tapping on the cot, my curious pup finally got up on the cot. I was afraid it was just for that moment. When I went in the house, he went back to the cot! I caught him even sleeping on it. It has got to be extremely comfortable to him. Just for reference: He's a 1 yr old lab/pit mix, approximately 50 lbs with the size large and it's perfect.

We bought the bed to go over a heating vent that our cat lies on, and as you can see by the photo, he took to it right away. Our cat weighs 13 pounds and I can't imagine the bed supporting over 200 lbs. as it says on the box. Though the leg bottoms were dirty, there was no other damage or evident usage to the other parts in this used product. So far it does what we wanted, provides a comfortable bed for our cat above the heating vent. The heat passes through the mesh bed without a problem.
