We had a can opener that is probably 20 years old. It was small and did its job, so I held off on buying a new one for a long time. When I found this one, between the color, the price, and the brand, I decided to go for it. While larger than my other opener, the extra space it takes up is a non issue. I honestly forgot how easy it should be to open a can. This little gadget was definitely worth it!!

I will preface by saying that it may be because I had an old can opener, but this KitchenAid one is a revelation. My old one (not sure the brand) would slip and hurt my hands. The edges were too sharp somehow... but this one fits your hand comfortable. It slices easily through the aluminum of the cans. I was thinking about how I would need to get an electric one because it was getting harder to open cans... nope! I just needed a new, sharper can open with much more comfortable handlers - I don't think I would save any time with electric, because this one is so easy.

I buy probably 4 can openers a year. They just do NOT work long. I have battery, electric and lots of manual ones. I bought one off here MADE IN AMERICA with lifetime guaranty that worked great for months then when it didn't the MADE IN AMERICA ppl won't answer my email. BUT this baby is the BEST I have ever used. It is still going strong and everything feels like the first time I used it. No loosening yet anywhere. The red is a dark red and quite pretty.

I have had this can opener for about 8 months. After having to constantly buy can openers because they would rust. I decided to start buying quality. I run my can openers through the dish washer, every time they are used. I thought that this technique was the problem, because after 2 or 3 months the can opener would be rusted. I guess that is not the case, because I have done the same thing with the can opener and it has not rusted yet. Love Kitchenaid. Just watch the price because they price can go between 10 and 30 dollars.

I’ve been buying dollar store can openers for awhile now and just tired of them breaking. Bought this and man I should of a long time ago. Heavy duty and works so much better. If your on the fence about it just do it, you won’t regret it. Seen it has a warranty as well, haven’t had to use it but like that it has one just in case.

This is my third KitchenAid CanOpener the first one I purchased several years ago still works great second one I purchased broke up with hardly any use but I figured I’d give a third one a try since this one was only 10 bucks. I will update later if anything changes. It’s a CanOpenerArrived in one day so I was pretty impressed with that.

After struggling with my old can opener for a long time i purchased new one that was so awful i threw it out after 5 uses !! This was my next purchase and so far works so easily i cant believe it . Very little pressure is required to puncture the cans and it turns without having to force it .. The riveted joint seems strong and tight . If it continues to function like this it is a dream !!!

There used to be good can openers in the stores years ago that were durable and easy to use, then they started selling junk that lasted a few months, at best. This can opener surpasses any manual can opener I've owned. It is large and comfortable to use and has a very easy to turn handle. It cuts the lid smoothly. Glad I purchased it.

This is the best old school can opener I’ve owned. It’s sharp, smooth and easy to use...even with arthritis. Their heavy weight so you don’t have to work to hold it down or in place. Ive bought other Kitchenaid kitchen tools in this light blue color and it really is lovely. It leaves sharp edges on the cans but this isn’t an issue for me. I have used those kind that leaves smooth edges and battery operated ones and they hang up and slow down on a corner that’s not perfectly round or their very hard to turn.

This can opener is so easy to use. I bought it to replace an old one and didn't realize how much I was having to struggle with it until I tried this one. A few quick twists, and the lid is off! I wish it was dishwasher safe, but most can openers aren't. I give it a quick rinse and let it air dry before putting it away.
