does its' job. seriously, its an OTG adapter, allows me to connect flash drives, hard drives, keyboards, mice to my phone. it works and works reliably. great build quality, anker is my go-to brand when it comes to tech parts. they've proven themselves as a quality manufacturer, and are trusted on the internet, so thats good enough for me. i was not paid/discounted/compensated in anyway for this review. I just really liked the product so much that i felt i should review it so that other people can make good buying decisions.

Snug after pushing harder than thought necessary. It seems fine, has the blue USB 3.0 colored interior. The Rubber/PVC is a bit stiff in the cable but that could be because it is new. Have a HP Folio G1 super thin, only two USB-C ports. When I first tried plugging it in it stopped far short of where it felt "seated".. but tried again and pushed really hard.. and it snapped into place snug against the outside of the body of the laptop. I didn't know USB-C had a push resistance in its spec. Its not damaged, its just required two clicks to get it into place. The first is about what your use to with USB 2.0 or normal USB 3.0 micro or mini plugs. With this one however there's a lot more push back. Probably keeps it from falling out or a "gentle" tug from accidentally removing it. You have to heave-ho to haul it out of the socket.

Bought it a couple of weeks ago to use with my Macbook Pro 2016 with touch bar. Works great! Build quality seems exceptional, typical of Anker. I have bought several products and their build quality is great and they stand by their products. Make sure you buy directly from the manufacturer (i.e. seller AnkerDirect). They offer an 18 month warranty if there is any issue so you don't have to worry if you get a lemon. They have great customer support! Great buy, highly recommended!!

I bought this hoping I could use it to hard wire my Xbox One controller (first gen, not the new Bluetooth Xbox One S controller) to my Nexus 6P. Unfortunately, my (unrooted) 6P will only provide power to the controller, it doesn't actually communicate data. But with a small glimmer of hope, I tried connecting my PS4 controller and VIOLA! It works! It's just plug and play, the controller can be used to choose apps, launch, home, etc. Works very well when I play Secret of Mana. Saves me a couple bucks from buying a Bluetooth generic controller, since I already have a PS4 controller. Win!

I used to have a Galaxy Note 3 and had a USB 3.0 OTG cable so I could connect it to my Canon 6D and use as an external screen for filming. After my Note 3 finally kicked the bucket, I upgraded to the Galaxy S8+ which uses a USB-C type connector so my old OTG cable was obsolete. Got this one and it works perfectly. I can connect to my camera and use my fancy new phone for an even better picture than my old Note 3. The response time is amazing and there is almost no delay between the phone screen and the camera screen. So, for everyone asking if this will work with connecting your phone to your camera, yes it will! I haven't tried just connecting the phone to my camera without using an app that's meant for transferring files or using DSLR Controller to turn my phone into an external screen/control, but it works flawlessly with these apps.

Cable works great, good quality and plug are strong. Just keep in mind you may need the app Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software in order to mount your hard drive to then access it. I then use the X-plore app to transfer files between hard drive and the phone.

Yet another high quality Anker product. Well-made and just the right length to provide flexibility off your port rather than a rigid protrusion that a plastic adapter block would. Also doesn't obstruct adjacent ports or even create a worryingly tight fit as some other rigid adapters do when used side by side. I'm consistently impressed by Anker's products.

Long story short (!), had purchased the SanDisk Dual Drive usb 3.0/micro usb to backup files on my Note 3, which had the micro usb port; very soon after that phone bit the dust/upgraded to the Note 9 which now has the type C port; the SanDisk drive works backward compatible with this adapter, saving me from buying the newer SanDisk dual drive that has the type C plug in end; happy plus happy

I am brand-loyal to Anker for all things cables. I recently got a Microsoft Surface GO, and it only has a single USB type-C port. When I needed an adapter, the first brand I looked for was Anker. The cable is durable and works well for my purposes. The only downside I would say is the price, at about $8 for this cable it's definitely on the expensive side, but because it's made by Anker, buy it once and you'll never have to buy it again.

I have a Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook it has an HDMI 1 USB 3.0 and one USBC I was looking at dongles with many ports and this one is the best because it's straightforward I use it for my external hard drive and my DVD Blu-ray burner. I Western Digital My Passport Ultra 1 terabyte USB 3 and a pioneer Blu-ray burner work great with my Chromebook. See image
