Great Low Budget Mini Ball Head

This is a very well built unit that looks like it will hold up. I bought this to replace a decades-old mini ball had that came with a Manfrotto/Bogen mini tripod and it fits fine. This ball head is lightweight compared to others I’ve used but it seems to be every much as sturdy. This is a good choice for lightweight cameras such as point-and-shoots and mobile phones. The ball head tightens by turning a tabbed bolt mechanism which is far superior to tightening a round bolt knob - it’s much easier to get torque. Note that the ball itself is fully loose when it’s not tightened so the range of tightness is none to tight. Many more expensive ball heads are very stiff without being locked, going from stiff to locked, and that allows you to position a camera more easily before you lock the head tight. It’s not a big issue since I intend to use this for a mobile phone mount.

small, simple and study

I picked up 3 that also had the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter built-in so they work with whatever connection I preferred. In fact, the 3/8 to 1/4 inch adapters were more expensive that this entire piece. Stronger than expected (used to hold a 35 mm Canon at 45 degrees and held tight.

Swivel

The ability to move this in any position helps with angles of where I need to put my camera for my youtube videos has helped a lot. The product came in on time with no problems.

Good for trying to get a fixed position for camera.

This is 5 stars considering the price. Its a great ball head for a fixed position meaning you are not expecting to be able to loosen it for moving shot. Its lightweight but very durable. No quick release and sticks a litle when screwing and unscrewing but holds position very well. Will hold average size dslrs ok. I wouldnt use it for cinema or larger cameras

akoak camera mount

i have been using these for my trail camera mounts. quick and easy and totally adjustable for any location. longevity being in the outdoors is yet to be determined. very good quality and value.

Doesn't feel cheap

I think this is a great ball head for the money. It feels like a decent quality and holds my camera tight at all angles. Just FYI, I use a phone as my camera, not a DSLR. So can't speak to the fact of extra weight. But it is perfect for what I need.

Solid mounting, easily adjusted

Loved it! Got it for my black metal bestablecam tripod and it matches perfectly adds height to it and allows me to pivot my monocular. Very satisfied!

Good solid little ball head

I absolutely love these, and use them almost every time I'm out with my cameras - very, very sturdy and they sure do come in handy.
