Recently purchased two of the most popular indoor countdown timers here. Besides this Century Smart model, I also tried the Woods/Teklectric timer (not sure why the exact same timer is sold in different listings with two different brand names). Both styles of countdown timers are similarly priced and have been heavily-reviewed on Amazon, each earning a 4-1/2 star rating. Overall, my experience with both was also positive, but with one key differentiating feature: the Century Smart only requires you to press a button ONCE for any timing option, whereas the Woods/Teklectric style (on the left in the photos), requires you to push the button MULTIPLE times to get to a setting, then MULTIPLE times to turn it off if you don't want to wait for the timer to turn itself off. Example... Say you want to use a countdown timer to turn something off after 4 hrs... * With the Century Smart unit, you would push the 4-hr button ONCE, and you're done (it clicks and light comes on to let you know it's engaged). * With the Woods/Teklectric unit, you would need to push the white button 4 TIMES(!) to get it to the 4-hr position (it clicks each press and lights to show you which hourly option you're at). And if you decide to turn the unit off before 4 hrs... * With the Century Smart unit, you would press the On/Off button ONCE (top right corner), and you're done (clicks when pressed and light goes out so you know it's off). * With the Woods/Teklectric unit, you would need to press the white button TWICE (clicks each time it's pressed, then lights go out to let you know it's off). The Century Smart timer also has a "Repeat" function (Woods/Teklectric does not) that will automatically turn the timer on 24 hrs later and countdown the last setting you selected. (For example, if you want your curling iron to come on for an hour every day at the same time.) I haven't used that feature, but it could be handy for some.

Excellent. Simple. Interface is as follows: * click on/off and it'll stay on/off * click one of the timer things and it'll stay on for that long * while the timer thing is on, you can click "repeat" and the repeat light will come on * if the repeat light comes on, then the duration repeats 24 later * if you click on/off at other times it doesn't impact the repeat light * (this means you can have a light come on for 4 hours every day at 7pm but still turn it on/off again when you want)

I have used several timers over the years, and this is by far the most convenient. The top row, direct-entry choices of 15, 30, and 60 minutes cover all my needs in the kitchen, which is where I use this one. My previous timer required sequencing through choices to the one needed and did not allow the shorter periods. I have not yet used the repeat feature, but I will soon. I like that it repeats the interval every 24 hours, so no need to set a timer to establish a schedule. Great for an espresso machine, which can burn out if accidentally left on for long.

Despite the fact that Amazon has "earth's greatest selection", the category of plug-in countdown timers capable of handling a space heater without spending a fortune was surprisingly spare. Fortunately, I saw this product and decided to purchase it. The timer does exactly what I need it to do, and as easily as I had hoped- press a button, then forget about it.

I use these for my bedside lamp, my office light, and my workshop. I love being able to set the timer and have the lights automatically shut off when I forget and walk away. It's especially handy for tools (like a hot glue gun, soldering iron, etc) so that if you walk away from your bench and get distracted, the timer will automatically shut off the power. They couldn't be easier to use, and if you want your appliance to come on at the same time each day for the same amount of time, you can use the repeat button. Well designed and handy!

As of May 2019 I’ve had the Century Smart Digital Countdown Timer for nine months. I love this switch, it does everything I need and it‘s very simple to operate. It does have one flaw however. It will "lock up" periodically causing all of the buttons to be inoperable. The simple solution is to unplug it, then plug it back in. In other words reset the power. Depending on where this switch is located, it may be difficult to access. My solution was to put a simple on/off switch ‘up the chain’ as seen in the picture to quickly power it off then back on. Other reviewer‘s mention this bug, and as soon as the company fixes it I plan on ordering more of these units. But until then it’s not that big of a deal.

I enjoy this timer. During the summer I like to open the window and run the fan for a few hours to cool off my bedroom. It work great. I simply plug the fan into the timer, set the fan in the window, turn it on, and push the 4 hour button. The fan runs for 4 hours then shuts off. I also have one of these where I removed the on off switch out of the box in the wall, and installed the timer in the wall to turn control my ceiling fan. I set the ceiling fan to shut off after 2 hours of operation. It can be hot in my bed room but the fans make it possible for me to be comfortable enough for me to go to sleep. Then they shut them self off so the room doesn't get to cold. You need to pay attention to the range of the time delay. The second timer I bought was intended for something like a bathroom fan, so the time settings were all very short. Like 5 minutes 10 minutes 20 minutes etc. I decided to keep it and went ahead and bought me one with the longer time delay. For my purposes I wanted the one that had the range that went up to 2 hours and 4 hours. I have not checked the accuracy of the timer- but it seems to be OK I highly recommend these timers.

Excellent, unique design. Especially good as a countdown timer for a coffee maker but the 15 Amps is enough for any small appliance. Fits in outlet with enough space remaining for the outlet above or below it. Other timers are bulky and require programming or flipping tiny levers or turning dials to set the time, or are noisy and are a pain. This one, you just hit one button for how many minutes you want it on, and walk away, even if you just plugged it in. No programming, no smart phone, no grinding dials, just hit a button. I know it has other functions that may take more thought to figure out, but as a countdown timer it couldn’t be easier. The display is clear and bright, easy to see. It’s exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t see anything else like it anywhere. Footnote. My outlet is actually upside down compared to most pictures I see (the ground hole is at the top) so I used the timer upside down. Works fine and still plenty of space above it to leave something else plugged in.

This is one of the best products that I have ever received through AZ! During the winter months, I was always turning on my bathroom heater when I was in there and so many times I would leave home and get 10+ miles down the road and wondering if I turned it off or I would be away from home worried about it (I have a phobia about causing home fires). So many times, I would turn around and return home to check if I actually turned it off (9X out of 10 I did). It only takes one simple step to set this countdown timer and have peace of mind when I leave home!

This is exactly what I wanted. Very is to set. I bought this to power three small infrared heaters I use to warm my desk. ( about 210 watts total. Infrared heat is wonderful and beats the heck out of the 1500 watt space heater I was using! ) The problem is I can't see infrared so I was always forgetting to turn them off because I forgot they were on! With this timer, I press the on-button and know it will go off so many hours later. It will remember its setting (unless it loses power) and will restart with a single push of a button. I don't use it in the 24-hour repeat mode because I travel and don't use my desk every day. As for accuracy, I've never timed it but it seems close enough for common applications. I would recommend this product. I would buy another if I needed two.
