Love it, love it

Love it, love it, love it. I take an occasional selfie. But the REAL value is ease and safety of taking pictures at outdoor places where it is too easy to drop the phone. I've used mine over the side of the ship in Antarctica and out the window of a safari vehicle in Africa. Using the Blue Tooth feature, you can snap pictures wearing gloves when it is cold. I have bought 6 so far for friends and family with whom I travel. Most of us are not even carrying actual cameras any more with the great snapshots we get from our iPhones. I thank the traveler whose letter was published in International Travel News. I thought for $15, I'd give it a try. WOW.

I hate owning one, but I like it

I told myself that I would never buy a selfie stick, but when my fiancé and I planned a trip To see some pretty memorable landmarks, it became evident that we need one. This selfie stick is pretty awesome, actually. It collapses down to next to nothing, the battery life lasts forever as well. We didn’t have to charge it once on a weeklong trip and we took many many pictures with it. The Bluetooth function paired super easily to our phones as well. One touch and done. It extends out to a pretty nice distance too, so you can end up getting some really nice wide shots. For the price, you can’t go wrong.

One of the best selfie sticks I have ever used!!!

Anker made quite the product here! The selfie stick is sturdy and made of a lightweight metal which almost feels like plastic. It has minimal wobble unlike an older selfie stick I had. It recharges through a mini USB port, has a wrist cord and the part that holds the camera is very good. Rubber grips hold your phone (I have an iPhone 7 Plus) securely yet carefully, never leaving any scratches. You can adjust the angle of the phone tilt with a tightening knob. The only improvement would be a slightly longer length, but the currently length works just fine. It allows for a steady grip. The button is so easy to press and bluetooth connectivity is a godsend and works perfectly! This has made me appreciate the selfie stick again!

Amazing! Stylish! Lightweight! Portable!

This is the best selfie stick I have ever owned. I used it in San Fran and Australia. I only had to charge once or twice a week and I used it almost daily. Not only for taking selfies but for taking pics from places hard to reach or over fences. :-) It is small enough to fit in a small bag and it looks stylish, unlike those cheap ones you see at China Town with the silver metal part and the cheap runner handle. A must get! Blue bottom when battery is charged, red when it’s almost dead.

Good for street photography, video and selfies

The quality of this selfie stick is very high. It has a nice feel in the hand and is easy to operate. My iPhone 6+ is very secure and never feels like it will fall from the stick. The phone doesn't drift, like on cheaper selfie sticks, so you know your phone will always be in the correct position for a photo. Using the stick is a nice discrete way to take street photos. It's not obvious that you're pushing the photo button and it's easy to hold the selfie stick at a casual angle. I've also begun shooting video with the selfie stick because it makes for a steadier shooting position and it's easier to start and stop video using the button on the stick. The battery seems to last a long time. I keep forgetting to charge it, but it always seems to have enough power for my use. The micro-USB charging port is nice because it uses the same cable as several other devices I own and I don't have to haul an extra cord on vacation.

Love my extend-an-arm

This is one of those gadgets that you think you will never use, but after you start using it, you're like "WHY didn't I buy one of these sooner"? This was a great purchase! We just got back from vacation, & I LOVED using this! I called it my "extend- an-arm". Not only is it great for taking selfies, but it gives you a way to boost your camera up & over a crowd, especially if you are in busy, tourist areas. I used this with our Iphone 5s & Iphone 6S+. It was lightweight, easy to use, & folds up small. At many of the stops on our vacation, I would just leave my phone hooked to it, & then just flip my camera setting from selfie to regular photo, & use the stick to take the photos. It was comfortable to hold, & it's great that it's a bluetooth selfie stick, so you just have to pair your phone with the stick. No more having to plug in an audio cable like some older models are. Tip: Make sure you put your iphone in the holder without any of the volume buttons being held down, otherwise you will end up with 999 burst photos like I did. OOPS! LOL . (Surprisingly, some of those pics came out good). Features: - Folds up - Portable - Lightweight - Works great - Easy to use - Great value (at current time of writing it's only $15.99- grab that while you can! If you're gonna buy a selfie stick consider this one!

I thought I would never buy a selfie stick, but then I bought a selfie stick. Honestly, if I was gonna buy one I wanted to buy a "nice" one and I am glad I was a bit choosy and picked this one. It synced up right away with my phone, had no issues my whole vacation and I really liked the ability to get everyone in the shot with ease. Touche, selfie stick.

Great device, with one major mechanical flaw-RESOLVED!

UPDATE: Anker contacted me and replaced the selfie stick! I am VERY IMPRESSED with their quick follow-up to my review (it took me awhile to update this review). This is a first-class company that respects its customers. Thank you Yandy! ------------ After purchasing over 20 Anker Items that I love, the stick is the only item I have a problem with. The screw that holds the mechanism together came loose and fell out. I have no idea where it went but now I cannot use this device. Hopefully anchor has corrected this mechanical flaw.

Sturdy and Easy to Use

While on a trip to a scenic spot, my wife and I decided on the spur of the moment it was time to join the 21st Century and get a selfie stick. Unfortunately, on a Sunday morning away from home, that meant going to Best Buy and buying whatever they had in stock. The "whatever" selfie stick we bought was a flimsy piece of junk. The first one, didn't even make it out of the parking lot. When we took it out of the box, it broke just trying to mount the cell phone in the holder. Fortunately, I was able to return it on the spot and get a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement lasted just a couple days before the power/function button on the handle failed (after maybe a dozen pictures taken). In frustration, I just tossed that selfie stick in the trash. The lesson learned here is that when I needed something in the worst way, I found the worst way at Best Buy. After getting home, I quickly looked on Amazon for something that I could expect would last. When I saw the Anker selfie stick, I stopped looking at anything else and ordered it. I have lost track of how many Anker items I have purchased over the past few years including headphones, speakers, cables, etc. and all have been of excellent quality. The Anker selfie stick is everything my initial purchase wasn't. It's rugged, easy to pair, easy to use and RELIABLE! I'd also note it is very compact and folds up into something that can fit in most pockets. I also learned our Millennial children did not have selfie sticks yet (amazing but true!), so I bought an Anker selfie stick for each them. Yeah, Dad can be hip! There really is not much else to say. Not all Chinese products are created equal and Anker represents a known quantity that is very unlikely to disappoint. Their selfie stick is a case in point. Highly recommended!

Quite Impressed!

Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised by this terrific selfie stick! The bluetooth camera shutter button works great, and was super easy to pair with my Galaxy S7. It's small, lightweight and folds completely so that it can fit in your pocket. The extendable shaft is made of aluminum, while the handle and camera bracket are plastic. Just attach your phone, press the stick's power-on button, and when it light's up blue, it's ready to snap photos. The battery is rechargeable via a USB power source, and according the manual, should last about 20 hours of use. Before using it, it took about 3 or 4 hours to charge up completely. The power-on button lights up red while charging, goes out when charging is completed. In all, I'm quite impressed... this is best selfie stick I've owned. The only thing I would like to see added, is perhaps a rubber grip handle for extra stability... but other than that, it seems just about perfect. Now, we'll see how long it lasts!
