Every DIY mechanic needs one of these to jump start cars, provide backup A/C and D/C power in an emergency, quickly inflate automobile sized tires, and provide USB charging. Only limitations are weight (quite heavy) and shape (must lie flat on ground, rather than sitting vertically while in use). Perfect for a house power-out situation, as an extention cord can be plugged into this device to connected to several household lamps on for hours of light. Just always keep the unit fully charged as per directions.

I bought this fatmax about 2 years ago, I like it so much I bought another one for my brother, I keep it in my suv and use it for emergencies, it holds a charge for long period of time, really it depends on how often it’s used, I charge it every 3 or for months, it takes about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to fully charge, I really like this product and I recommend it to anyone that need a little added peace of mind, it cuts down on having to call a tow truck for a jump or temp. Air in tire, it’s also good for power outages to charge phones or plug in a lamp and so forth, excellent product!

Wish I would have bought one 10 years ago. Great for short term emergency power/mobile power station The best though is it built in air pump with tire pressure read out. No more hassles having to stop at a gas station in the rain or snow. Plug in the hose to the tire, set the PSI (add a pound to desired pressure) and you are done. Haven't had to use the jumper cables. Through the Fatmax in the back of my minivan when on long hours. Provides piece of mind knowing I have a jump starter, portable air compressor, and flashlight (plus power station) all at my fingertips.

Great for car camping. I use it to run a large fan all night in the Texas summer and charge my phone. I haven't had to use the jumper cables or compressor but those aren't really why I bought it - I wanted the AC outlets and USB ports. Good to know that they are there though should I ever need them. It would be nice if it came with a cord that could be used to charge it but any regular extension cord will do so no big deal.

This little appliance is just what the doctor ordered! I've been having trouble with my tires leaking through the seal and end up having to fill at least once a week...which is very hard to do given my recent broken leg. Now I can do it in the comfort of my own home. Plus...anytime I need a jump I have that as well. My car had been sitting for a couple months as I was injured in hospital and couldn't attend to it but with this handy device my Mustang is ready for a nice ride in the country with the top down. Can't wait!

UPDATE: It's now September 7th, so almost 5 months have passed and this has worked for everything, pumping up car tires on mini-vans, using it to power many different devices at our trade shows on camping trips, it's been working great for everything. The first weekend I received this power station, I charged it up by plugging it into the wall for the approximate number of 40 hours per the instructions. Just a few hours after it finished charging, my son's 1990 Honda Civic died. So I thought this was a great time to see how well this power station works. Lo and behold my son's car started instantly. This was much faster than when I had to jumpstart it in the past with my car and jumper cables. I was very impressed so far. I love how simple it is to use and how much more convenient than using another car. I got this product primarily to use as our power source at trade shows. But also wanted to use it as a backup in case our car dies while we're out on the road. This will come in handy when driving across the desert where we are literally in the middle of nowhere many times. I will update this review as more time goes on with my future experiences with this product.

Very easy to use. It would be nice if it had a built in charging cable though. The light it comes with is pretty useless to be honest, but it inflated tires easily enough since you just put in the number you need (i.e. 32 lbs) and it inflates to that pressure and stops. I jumped a car twice and inflated 12 tires and the battery never gave out. It does need a top off charge every month or so though.

We got this for our Jeep excursions, camping, or spontaneous adventures like music jams out in the desert or mountain meadows. It is a portable party waiting to happen, and yes it is awesome for those unexpected emergencies. It came with both an extension cord (short so it must be right next to the outlet) and also a cigarette lighter charger. If using it in the outback, I suggest keeping it fully charged via cigarette lighter, just in case you need all the stored power you can get. It is heavy (like all good batteries are) and rugged with good protection on the corners - not only for it's protection, but for your car if it bumps around while off-roading. The rubber also helps it not to slide or move too much when in motion. The USB port is handy.

Have bought three of this type tool over past 47 years. All have failed due to poor battery life when needed most. This one is the best ever. Has never failed due to low battery...mostly because it tells you when it is getting critical. Compressor achieves pressure set in about double the time it would take at a service station...which is incredible for a portable unit. And alarm sounds when pressure is achieved...in case you got distracted. I use at least once a week to top off tires on my horse trailer and Tahoe before hauling. The auto shut off function is a great safety feature.

i ordered one of these based on the recommendation of a friend. i also saw it in action jump start a vehicle that had been sitting for months. i personally am going to put it under the seat of my Tahoe but am going to use it with Camping in mind. We go to campgrounds that have no electric and sometimes it can be uncomfy if either extreme happens. now i can put the heater and the fan back in the trailer.
