Compact, simple, just needs to be written in!
I’m loving this journal. It’s easy to write in, Mark my page (with the ribbon bookmark), and the appearance is classic black- I tend to abandon cutesy, colorful journals (something about them drawing attention where people may find them later and read them without my knowledge). Seems pretty durable. I bought mine through Amazon Warehouse Deals, and the back cover was sliced, but it didn’t affect the journal at all. Excellent price for a decent journal with a lot of space to write. I can see these stacking up on my shelves in he near future!

Love them!
These work as well for journaling as the moleskin journals in my opinion. (Had previously used moleskin) Both will bleed pen dark colors like purples and blues if you are sketching like I do. My journaling includes doodles on almost every page with both pens, pencils and watercolors as well as writing. These are now my go-to journal. Just like the moleskin there is a pocket, ribbon page holder and elastic strap to keep closed. I invested in an Oberon leather cover for the journal in use. Am very happy with with these journals.

Awesome alternative to pricey notebooks.
Great notebook for a reasonable price. Durable material makes this notebook stay together, even when jostled around in the trunk of a car with hostages. Elastic keeps the cover closed so my enemies can not see my plans to destroy them. You can use pencil or pen to write in it, but markers and blood seem to run through the pages.

This notebook is the business!
5 stars for the following reasons: 1) It''s the best Moleskine-*style* notebook I've seen, finely covered and well-bound. 2) The paper is smooth and just right for my needs. I draft my novels long-hand with a mechanical pencil. On this vellum-like paper, writing is a sensuous experience and even erasing is simple and clean. Apparently, a few have experienced bleed-through with fountain pens and Sharpies. But I tested several ballpoint pens without a trace of that problem. 3) It costs less than half of a Mokeskine, but it holds up to comparison in all ways that matter to me.

Great Moleskin Alternative
I use notebooks like this to document items/details for projects and when in meetings. I go through them quickly and costs can add up quickly, especially when they go for $20+ off the shelf (Moleskin). This notebook does the same job and for a much better price. It has the same high quality hardcover and binding of notebooks twice the price. The paper is just the right shade of off-white and thickness so that ink does not bleed. The writing experience is smooth and the size is perfect to keep in a suitcase, bag, jacket pocket (large) or hand-carry. Highly recommended!

Very pleased.
Been using this for about two months at work and no complaints so far.

Keep it simple and it delivers
Great notebook for the price, comparable to the Moleskines. I love the simplicity, it does what is advertised. Works great as a gratitude book and whatever else your minds want it to be. The paper is great quality and my pens glide like butter and I'm just using your typical ballpoint fine point gel pen. Just be careful when using markers. The only gripe I have about this notebook is that I need more!

High-quality look and feel, lots of pages
This is a great notebook with a high-quality look and feel. The AmazonBasics notebook is one of three brands I purchased and it came in second place. The best look and feel went to the iBayam Classic Notebook at only $5 each. You get a very similar notebook (and just a little bit better) at $4 less than the AmazonBasics price. Here is the link to that item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H58GFK8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03__o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That being said, this notebook is still a great purchase and especially if you are only needing to purchase one or two.

I enjoy certain conveniences
As part of my autodidactic and ambidextrous endeavors, I do a LOT of writing daily. Handwritten, in cursive. For the current notebook I am going through, my daily average is 8 pages a day. For the previous, it came out to ~9.5 pages a day. I have tore through your typical 200ish page notebook in as little as 15 days (the 9.5 page/day one: 21 days). I am currently limiting myself to 8 pages, and thanks to there being 240 pages in this product, I am looking at a completion rate of exactly 30 days (8 x 30 = 240). As I go through a notebook approximately once a month, I enjoy certain conveniences. How flippable are the pages, how much writing space is made available with the lines present, how does the paper feel? How nicely do my preferred pens glide over the surface. I have certainly had better writing experiences with other notebooks, yet those notebooks are either more expensive or no longer produced. And I have had substandard writing experiences. Yet when balancing factors of being inexpensive, available, and generally being above adequate in terms of writing quality, I have found a current preference with this being my go to notebook for writing (now approaching the 1 year mark, having obtained my first one in later July or August of 2017 to test out). I wish there were lines at the extreme top and bottom of the pages (versus the padded margins), as I write to fill the entire page. As it is I guesstimate the lines, and although I am pretty good at it, for the love of symmetry and simplicity this should be an easy enough improvement to make. Yet as far as drawbacks go, this in no way disqualifies this as an effective recipient for my writing. By no means the best, nor worst, and not even average. Above average, when it comes to doing prolific writing. And that makes it an invaluable part of my writing routine. Left to write writing with the left or right hand; mirrored writing with left or right. I am doing it all, and aside from the usual physical constraints (engineering of your standard pens, center margin/binding of the notebook) this little gem does the trick.

Perfect for Daily Usage
Paper Quality: From a fountain pen user perspective, the paper quality is on par with that of Leuchtturm 1917 paper quality. The paper does have some ink resistant property and is smooth enough to make a very comfortable writing experience without the pen slip-and-sliding everywhere. Ghosting can be seen on the back of papers, same as Leuchtturm 1917 papers, but zero bleeds through, same as Leuchtturm 1917 papers. I used Noodler's Black ink with TWSBI 580-EF, TWSBI VAC700R 1.1mm Stub, and Pilo Metropolitan EF. Exterior: Hardcover is stiff enough to withstand daily impacts but is neither bulky nor too thin. Elastic band and bookmark are similar to every other notebook of this kind. Overall: If you are someone who wants to paper quality similar to Leuchtturm 1917 paper at a lower price, this would be the notebook for you. This is a great value notebook, in term of quality per dollar ratio, for daily usage. However, if you are looking for a "special occasion," (i.e. achieving memories, personal gift for someone special, graduation, etc.) notebook, there are better notebooks for $20-$40. I bought two notebooks and both had minor dent along the edges, uneven pages, and minor pages creased internally. It doesn't scream "luxury product," but, again, very great value notebook that I would recommend.
