This cushion has really helped my Mom! She is mostly in a wheelchair because of cancer making her so weak. Since she also has congestive heart failure, which causes her legs to swell easily and I figured if there was a way to relieve some pressure, this would help. I know there are several being sold online that look alike, however I went by the reviews and this one saying that the "new and improved design is approved by the FDA". Since I wasn't exactly sure what this meant, I knew I could return it just in case. This only needs a little air, this is all you need because if you inflate it even close to the max, this actually makes a harder seating. My Mom immediately felt the difference. In fact, since she had to be admitted into a nursing home for 24 hour care, the staff (Nurses and Therapists) are very impressed with this. While there are many options for people to chose from (gel, foam, etc.), this seems to be the best there is. I do add a little air for her about once a week, but the size is perfect for her wheelchair and I even showed a few aides how to fill it properly. We haven't had any issues and since this has brought Mom relief, it is worth every penny. Thanks!

As we know how "comfortable" airline seats can be back in coach, I primarily decided on this seat cushion for a 9hr + airplane ride primarily because: 1) I wanted an inflatable seat so I could pack it away when done and did NOT want "memory foam" 2) I loved the 17" x 17" size of it compared to other inflatables - this seemed to fit most chair pans the best and I wanted coverage! 3) and bonus, it came with a little hand pump (but as others wrote, it's not really needed) I got the blue cushion and it from all appearances once received, it appears to be made of a sturdy vinyl material and heat sealed rather well to make the waffle holes. As in other reviews, I found out that not fully inflating the cushion did just the job for me. Too much and it was as firm as a hard chair but 50 quick bumps, just where the cushion starts to fill out, was about accurate for me. Now to find the most comfort position for me: 1. Did I want some support on the backside? (this pushed me too far forward for comfort in the airline seat) 2. Did I want it some cushion under my knees so my tailbone had some space? (this didn't work for me either as felt I was sliding off the seat - and I'm 5'5". It might work for someone taller or with longer legs) 3. Or did I just flat out want the cushion right under all of me? Option 3 worked after I wiggled around, adjusting it back and forth and found just having it right under me was the most comfortable. The 17"x17" fit just right on the airplane seat and after a 9 hr+ flight, I had no back issues (from my tailbone) from sitting upright or slightly reclined - YAY! Storage tip (see pictures): once deflated and flatten out, fold the cushion in thirds. Place the pump on the cushion and roll it up over the pump - the pump is secure within the cushion. Add a rubber band or hair band to secure. It now tucks away nicely in my backpack side zipper pocket! A "nice to have" would be about a 3" x 8" drawstring travel bag that fit the rolled up cushion with pump in middle, to help protect it. (An old sock would work for this also.) So far, one airline trip and I give this cushion 5 stars and look forward to using on other upcoming trips! Good Job EMSupply!

Let me start by saying that I am not a professional caregiver. I have been assisting my next-door neighbor, who is 90, for about a year now. His knees are very bad and he has stenosis of the spine so he can only sit for a little while. I was looking for a way to make his sitting time more comfortable and I found this cushion. It was exactly what we needed. It may look like a summer toy, but trust me, it Is not a toy. The pump was simple to use and the natural curve of the cushion let you place it exactly where you needed it to Be. I'm sure that you could spend big bucks and get a more expensive Cushion, but I don't think it would be any better. Good product

My husband is stroke victim who was left with limited mobility. For the past 2 years I have watch him writhe and squirm in a never ending battle to be able to sit comfortably. He suffers from reoccurring pressure sores that have become an ongoing source of misery for him and frustration for me. I have tried everything. I have cushions of various shapes, sizes and material. They range in price from $100.00 to $1.50. They are webbed, puffy, feathered, quilted, spongie, foamed and liquid! They have all failed to help And in some cases have aggravated the problem. Our dog and cat even rejected most of these so called high tech therapeutic bum preservers! When I found this cushion, I was not at all hopeful as it looked like one of those cheap so called bath pillows that come with cliched bath products sold as basket gifts during the holidays. The pump looked like something that I would use to inflate a toddlers-wading pool. I decided to take a chance and blow another 20 away just in case it might work. I am amazed to report that the darned, silly looking thing works! As a matter of fact I’m going to order another one to keep in the car. The pressure sores are almost completely healed after just a few days and the writhing and squirming has stopped! Hope it works for everybody and that the price remains reasonable

I bought this cushion as a lightweight alternative to a gel one that I have due to it's light weight and portability. I plan to use it on long road trips and for uncomfortable seating at various places. We recently attended a music fest that involved sitting in the same seat for hours at a time. Most chairs are not built for comfort for such a period of time. We also are traveling more in our retirement, and one's body does get sore after four or so hours in the car, no matter how comfortable the seats are. The little plastic pump is cheap, and the handle pulls right out of the tube, so I hold the stopper part of the handle down on the tube while inflating the cushion. It only takes a minute or so to sufficiently inflate the cushion. The one-way valve keeps the air in as you inflate the cushion. You simply pinch it at the base to deflate it. For the music fest I carried a small backpack with me that would provide space for the folded up cushion and pump. I believe the cushion could also be inflated by mouth. This cushion is amazingly comfortable and stable, unlike some of the other inflatable cushions out there, which squish around when you sit on them. The divots or holes throughout are a great design that provides stability and also make the cushion lighter. I haven't had this cushion long enough to comment on durability, but it appears durable.

Many cushion orders later, I found one that REALLY WORKS. It has been 20 weeks since my hip surgery and sitting is still a problem. The Air Inflatable Seat Cushion is adjustable (by filling or deflating it) to my needs and so light-weight, I can easily carry it with me when I am going somewhere other than my own home. I did find that putting it in a pillow case helped the slippery nature of the vinyl. Liked it so much, I've ordered four more as my biggest problem with it was with me, not it! I forget to carry it from chair to chair! That will no longer be a problem when the others arrive! PS - They arrive in such a timely manner. Have communicated with the company and they are great. It's all good.

The Premium Air Inflatable Seat Cushion has been perfect for our needs. It has helped my bedridden/chair bound Mother in law tremendously with pressure ulcers on her bottom. Customer Service is fantastic also. Had a problem with our first cushion outside the return window and they replaced it with no problem. I have already ordered another one for a spare or Mother in law's wheelchair if needed. Will gladly do business with this company again! Thanks much!

After emergency surgery, I developed a small bedsore. Because I am very thin, I could not get rid of it and it was quite painful, even long after I was no longer in bed for long periods. I had tried padded bandages on my tailbone, along with some Neosporin, but the sore did not heal until I used this pad along with it. Within a month, the sore that had been extremely painful for several months, was completely cured. I could sleep with this seat cushion under my hips and, because of its low profile, it was quite comfortable. I tried several different styles of cushions, both square and donut shaped and they were too high and uncomfortable while sleeping or sitting or riding in the car. I decided to give this cushion a try and was thrilled with the results. It is very light and comfortable. It doesn't deflate very fast, so if the top comes off of the refill tube, you are usually okay if you catch it early enough and snap it back closed. If it does deflate, it comes with its own little light pump, which makes it easy to keep it inflated. That being said, this is a low profile product and may not work as well for someone who is extremely heavy. For a medium sized person, though, it is highly effective and I recommend it most highly. I will also take it on car trips to keep from traumatizing that area again while being seated for longer periods in the same position and to for easing any harsh rubbing of the area while getting in and out of the car.

I discovered the value of an inflatable cushion recently on an airline trip which had the most uncomfortable seats I've ever used. My sit bones and hamstrings were screaming at me and I was in constant motion trying to find a comfortable position. In desperation I sat on my inflatable back cushion and voila, the pain went away instantly. I need the back cushion for my lower back so when I got home, in anticipation of some long car and airline travel, found this seat cushion on the internet. I ordered 1 for myself and my husband liked it so much that we ordered a second for him. As others have said, it doesn't take a lot of air to make the cushion work, you have to play around with it to get it just right but that is not difficult and the cute little pump makes filling it easy. That pump is also great for topping up the air in my exercises balls (which oddly don't ever come with their own pumps). The seat cushion is also great in my desk chair. So all in all, this purchase will go down in my books as a very good deal!

So far....so good! I bought this cushion to put on a folding chair while I play Mah Jong with friends. It looked like the pain in my hip was going to make me stop sitting in a hard chair. So far, and I just received it yesterday, it helps me sit in every chair I've tried. Now, off to play an afternoon game, and sit comfortably on my new cushion. Spent 4 hours in a folding chair, playing Mah Jongg. This cushion saved my life! Not only did I not need to take a pain pills mid game, but my back didn't hurt either. I just ordered two more and will use them on every chair. Worth more than I paid for it (them.)
