  • Rockville isolation pads are designed to acoustically isolate your studio monitors. They were designed to work in studios and give studio quality sound; however some customers will also use them for high end home theater setups. Typically when speakers are placed on hard surfaces, they can vibrate.
  • The vibrations cause the speakers’ sound to become inaccurate, unfocused and lose their “musical transparency." The Rockville Isolation Pad package includes a pair of high-density acoustic foam pads with multiple angle inserts that allow you to fine-tune your speakers positioning.
  • Though conceived and designed for studio monitors/speakers you can decouple and isolate any sensitive studio device such as DVD players, turntables and laptops.

These pads are under my new Elac B6.2 bookshelf speakers for my main room. They look great. The sound IS noticeably different, presumably better and genuine. Simple, elegant and VERY low cost solution. Much better than the Audioengine DS2 simple rubber pads that were too small for bookshelves and didn't properly isolate anyhow.

For the money you can't go wrong. My room is less than desirable when it come to sound treatment. I have a sub hooked up to fill in the lows. I don't turn it up much. Just enough to fill out the sound. I do most of my listening and home recording at my desk. I keep it at moderate levels. For mixing I have Equator D5's (also awesome for the money) and a Pair of Avatones. For regular listening I have a pair of Pioneer sp-bs22-lr. All of which sit on a shelf just above optimum placement. As mentioned before, I sometimes use a sub a Yamaha YST-SW015. I decided to give the Rockville RRS190S a try after reading all the positive Auralex reviews. I went with these because they were a bit cheaper. I've had them under my Equator for a while now and they have worked awesome. As everyone states isolating your speakers does make a noticeable difference. I was rearranging some stuff in my office so I decided to try them on the Pioneers. This is when I decided to write a review. I listen to these speakers daily. And what a huge difference using these has made. I had them at a slight angle and they were fine, But these stand got them perfect for my needs. Plus they cleared up the overall sound. Everything is clear as a bell. At the level I had my sub set before( low) I could turn it off and not notice. Thats how much clearer and tighter the bass was. This is great considering my less than perfect room. Less Sub less low frequency build up. If you're on a budget like myself and care about improving your monitoring or listening enjoyment. This is a wise $25 spent. I just ordered a second pair so both my Equators and Pioneers can benefit.

What a good price for these. Some other brands charge more like if it's something so special, it kind of is but I'm sure it's not so expensive, so why pay more? Plus you have 3 different ways to position them with just this set. Perfect.

Got these for my Edifier S880DB's which face me directly at the computer desk. I wanted to give them a little ramp so the audio was directed as close as possible at my head. I keep volume pretty low. They are too wide for edifiers, but some scissors did the trick. I kept the other extra foam pieces. FWIW, you can probably make these out of some old packing foam and a razor blade. But these are perfectly shaped so ultimately I'm happy with the product.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Angled the speakers up and took out the vibration sound on my desk. What I will say is the foam is oversized. I trimmed it down with a bread knife and it look fine.

I bought one for my Elac B6.2, perfect fit without being custom made while using it flat. Sound is obviously improved compared to sitting directly on solid wood tabletop. It also raised the speaker up by about 1.8", lining up the tweeter to my ear level while I sit in front. Bought another for my Sony SSCS5 to elevate from the glass top. This ended up with a few inches extra in the back while used flat. The sound improvement is less obvious with the Sony, maybe the pad helps most with the lower base sound, which is not very strong with the Sony compared to Elac. Highly recommend as a cost effective way to improve your sound, especially if you want you speaker to be elevated by a couple inches.

These are GREAT! I had some cheapo studio monitor foam pads under my JBL studio monitors. I had to cut them to size because they were just WAY too big. Not having anything other than sharp scissors to cut them with, it was a pretty ugly mess of jagged edges when I was finished, and they didn't really work that well to begin with. The Rockville pads though are PERFECT; great fit for my JBL monitors, NICE and thick and they work perfectly. I didn't have to cut them to size and look SO much better than my old cheapo pads. If I ever more need speaker pads, I'll never waste my money on cheap junk again. I learned my lesson the hard way. Thanks Rockville!

These are merely wedge shaped pieces of foam that can be used to isolate monitors from their base or support and may be configured to either hold them flat or give them two different angles forward or backward. The materials aren't exactly novel or impressive but they're quite effective. I use Acoustic Energy monitors, routinely at over 100dB, and the pads have made a significant difference that was immediately audible in my case. I suspect the better your support setup is the less useful these might be but for me they did the trick. Recommended.

Really good stuff. Not at all cheap for the price. The difference between these and the expensive pads are in the material. Foam pads like this MIGHT flex under weight, especially uneven weight. But in my experience, these foams provide more cushion than some of the expensive pads which actually works better to remove any vibrations / resonance with the base. If your speakers cover more than 80% of the base area, then these pads will distribute the weight almost equally and I think they will be the best pads irrespective of the price. Their life might be slightly less than the more expensive pads (just guessing, many variables here), but it is better to replace often with newer ones than staying longer with an out of shape pad even if it expensive. One thing to consider though is the angle of the pads. These pads can support 8 and 4 degrees while many others support 2.3, 6 etc. That is important to consider to get the desired drivers up to the head level in the seating position.

These are alright. I found they tipped my speakers a little too far forward for my liking. I used the wedges, but not the ones with the bumpers. I think I would really like to see these made longer, as my Mackie studio monitors are slightly deeper than other monitors, due to the amplifier. When I bought these, they were Amazon Prime, so shipping was fast and free!
