Wish I would have bought this years ago.

This clipper is great. I really like the removable cutter head, rotary drive and ceramic blade. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

After reading reviews for seemingly days, I came across Sminiker. I was reluctant to go with a brand I'd not heard of before but I gave it a shot. I am pleased with the product. They do not get got even after prolonged use. I've used it three times since Christmas and still haven't needed to charge it. The guards slide on and click into place. Its super quiet and light weight. I almost forgot about it comes with an additional battery as well and no cord!! So far, I am pleased.

You won't regret this purchase

I'm very impressed with this device. I've cut my own hair for over a decade, and have a couple of Wahl trimmers that are bulletproof. On a recent trip that was unexpectedly extended, I had to buy a trimmer. I bought a cordless Wahl set that was over twice the price of this trimmer even though it was on sale, and was shocked when I got it home... it vibrated and was so noisy that I couldn't stand the thought of using it. Truly a smh moment for a fine American company. I returned that device and looked to see what was available on Amazon. This one seemed to stand out, and the price was unbelievably low. To my delight, it seems to be the excellent value that the other reviews state. The heft is a little bit light and plasticky for my tastes, but you can see good engineering and design decisions throughout. Most of all, it's is exceedingly quiet... significantly quieter than my classic Wahls, and quieter than I thought a clipper could be. It cuts well, but I did get more of a sense of hair pulling when trimming my beard than I do with the Wahl. Not sure whether it's the ceramic blade or what, but it's not really alarming or annoying. The chrome ring at the bottom adjusts the depth of cut, and the attachments provide a nice range of cutting depths. The only thing I found problematic was brushing/cleaning the device. To do this you're instructed to remove the cutting head (this is how it's oiled as well). It's a bit awkward in that you have to push against the white ceramic part harder than what is comfortable. I suppose I'll get used to it, but it's one area that could use some refinement. Not that I'm complaining though – for the price, this is a no-brainer and an excellent trimmer. The fact they provide two batteries is simply stunning, since two years is about max for most lithium rechargeables. Here's tip: when you get the device, charge both batteries fully so that the spare has a charge in it. There's nothing worse than to leave a lithium battery discharged fully over time. If you have the discipline, swap batteries every month or three to keep them both alive longer. Simply put: you won't regret this purchase.

I am so surprised at the quality of these clippers. I was reluctant to order these because I thought for the price, there was no way they were going to good. I was wrong. My son has very thick hair and we have purchased several expensive name brand clippers over the last two years. They ended up trimming very uneven after a time (that is with proper maintenance), were heavy to use, and the sound was loud. My kiddo has Autism, so having clippers being so loud, only created more of a hurdle to the hair cutting process. In looking for new clippers, besides sound, I was looking at it be cordless and light weight. These met all my requirements and more. I used them straight out of the box. The clippers are easy to use. I really like the dial on the bottom that allows you to adjust how close the blade is for trimming around the neck line. Other clippers have just a lever with two settings, this has a dial for several. Again, the sounds was much better than others (still makes sound but quieter). It is super easy to go around the ears (which is so important for us because that was always the hardest part for me). Finally, the overall cut of his hair is the best ever. It is a noticeable difference between the other clippers and these ones in how the hair looks! Although, we have only tried these once, I am so impressed. For the price, you can't beat it!

Honestly one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon in the past year. I typically buzz my head every 3 or 4 days. I've been consistent with this for the past 8 years or so. I've used a few different models ranging from wahl to Phillips Norelco and brahn. The Norelco has been my go to for the past few years. It works fine but still feels relatively cheap at a price point of close to $40. I always had a backup in case it finally died. It also felt underpowered but did get the job done. The Sminiker is in a totally different league. The quality of the item is readily apparent. They even include an additional battery which simply blows my mind. I've never encountered that option in the last 8 years of searching. The motor is incredibly quiet but feels much more powerful than any of my previous purchases. I'm a Sminiker customer for life after this product purchase. I paid full price for this item and would have paid more for it after testing it out and having my mind blown. You honestly won't regret this purchase.

I am clueless & it was absolutely so easy to use!

Liked the easiness of use without the need or reading anything before! Take into consideration that I have never touched a similar device in my life and have absolutely no experience in hair cutting or styling! It has everything inside, even scissors and a comb! The light at the base becomes green when fully charged, so easy to say when it's ready, but it anyway tales very short time.

Great Battery, doesn't lever clipper tracks

I've owned this for two years. I use this to buzz the back of my head and lower sides when I cut my hair. Buzzing my hair works really well, I don't notice any lines or track marks, and it can blend to longer hair well with the right technique. I originally considered clippers with a longer max length, but longer lengths are totally unnecessary. I try to keep the spare battery at 50% and never discharge them completely to prolong their lifespans. I've probably only used two full batteries for 12 haircuts and many quick beard trimmings every week or so. I also use this to cut down the length of my stubble when I go without shaving for awhile. My electric shaver gets way closer but will rip hairs out if I don't pre-trim.

Great clippers and super quiet

I’ve had a few clippers in the past and these are by far my favorite ones so far. If I ever need to I’ll biy again and refer these first!!!!

Great for a "shaven head" look...

I use it to cut all my head hair (instead of clean shaving my head). This is awesome for my purposes. I can take it to asia on international travel of 1 or 2 months, and a single battery charged will last me that long. Since i use it only for 15 minutes at a time, and the battery easily lasts more than 6 hours. It is quieter than my previous Norelco, but i wish it would be even more quiet. For the price, this is a good hair trimming tool. Easy to clean, and it even withstood the water cleaning that i do after each use. Typically, i would be careful not to let the water get into the battery compartment, and wash only the head carefully. I let it dry, with the vertical position, so that water will not get into the electrical section of this unit. The water would dry anyways before i use after 3 more days. So, this has been a great purchase that i have used for over a year now.

awesome product

I purchased this new cordless hairclipper about 2 weeks ago, and used 2 twice, it works very well, the noise is lower than the traditional hairclippers, they are very light, and easy to use , the quality is very well made. The battery last long, the first time, I used for about 40 mins, and they still going. The difference size clippers that came with it are also well made, better than thin one that I get before. I would definitly recommend this product. You will like it too.
