Just received this LED light for my Harley Davidson Sportster 883c and had to leave my thoughts on this item. I installed it this morning and have to say that it is truly an easy swap out and when I checked the aim to my amazement it needed no reaiming. It fit the original ring that was on the standard 883c light with all the right cut outs which lined up the light in its proper orientation. I don't know how long it will last or, at this point, how it illuminates the road ahead. My led fog lamps fill the gap between the front of the bike to the bottom of the headlamp beam which appears that it will be a full road illumination from top to bottom. I am looking forward to see if it truly does illuminate the just described area. The reason I bought this was because when I went through the tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway with the regular headlight it was very scary not being able to see the road and lines in two of the tunnels which had a curve to them and you could not see the light from the end of the tunnel for some time. After putting on the fog lamps and going through the tunnels it was better but not great and I think this LED headlight will fill the desire very nicely. I will see if I was correct!

I was skeptical at first about this headlight, and how it would perform. Seeing as how the name brand day-maker runs in excess of $400, I would have thought this would be nothing more than a cheap kids flashlight that I was strapping to my bike. I was wrong upon installing it as I don't understand why I hadn't done this long before. Immediately upon turning the key, I was amazed at how much brighter it was than even a sylvania silverstar ultra that I had been using. The light is 10x more visible in the day time, and at night, the different is ironically, night, and day. I did have to make a minor adjustment that I could not tell was needed with the oem headlight as it did not have any coverage except with the high beam always running. This was a safety concern during the night as I did not wish to blind those coming at me. I no longer have any worries about getting caught out at night when heading home. I no longer have to worry about not seeing a deer standing in the road only 100 feet in front of me doing 40mph, and not being able to see it.

So far I am really satisfied with this headlight! I did a front end conversion on my Suzuki SV1000s to a naked and it fit the bill perfectly... actually I did the conversion a while back and bought me of the first LED headlights available.. Needless to say that light was absolutely terrible and could barely see 3 feet in front of me on a dimly lit road. For me, this was an absolute must and a great quality light considering the price! I am by no means “handy” when it comes to many things but after taking some time to read over the wiring schematics for my bike, I got it installed in around 3 hours... that’s 3 hours with a few breaks, installing a new headlight housing, and cleaning up the existing wires. The light comes with a standard Harley Davidson harness plug and my bike obviously did not. I purchased a plug to adapt to the headlight and it worked perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018HSCD1K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g6tKBb874WHTJ Headlight build quality seems like it’s well made and the lens is described as durable and scratch resistant. Time will tell. I spent several days researching all types of led lights at different prices and this was the best one I could find. If you’re on the fence, this is the right choice.

Nice quality! Works great! Photo shows before and after!

This is an awesome alternative to the Harley Tax you'd pay at the dealership! Almost fooled the service manager as he had to look at it for a bit, and I pointed out the difference. Highly recommend this light to the OEM or H-D Brand Daymaker. Very good packaging, took less than 2 beers to install and functioned perfectly. Very bright headlight!!

This headlight was a great headlight for the money. Like other reviewer’s it does have a little bit of a condensation issue when you ride in the cold. However if you just keep the lights on it burns off relatively quickly. Truly it doesn’t affect the light quality or the function of the headlight in anyway. These lights are incredibly bright and beat the stock Harley had lights by about 35 feet in visibility

Easy install on my 2014 Harley Breakout only sticking point is fitting wires in the assembly. Solid construction and much brighter than the factory headlight.

The light was bright, but i noticed my light vibrating at resonate frequencies... i uninstalled the light and noticed the top left plastic refractor was loose- and it abraded the plastic lens. the screws that hold it into place came loose. bummer. i contacted Ocean Source and they got me a replacement really quick. so i thank them, i still had my stock light but who wants stock once u see bright LED(At least with the Vicky Octane). so to say i reinstalled my stock, but i avoided night riding. Now for the light: its bright... way lighter than stock. In SC its deer season year round in the rural parts. A story: last week i was coming home bout 1130pm... i had high beams on doing 60mph(i normally do 40 tops on this road at night but had a cager driving too close when i was in front, and getting on the brakes too often when i was behind... so be before the road turned to one lane, i speed up to get some distance). So i got my distance and i'm in my rear view checking to make sure they were well behind me.... so to say my focus was not 100% in front of me. im thinking to myself, im going to fast heading into deer ally. i was about a mile away from home and 40-50 feet out,.... a BIGGO deer!!... i instantly react, i lock up my rear, fish tailed, but i did not high side, thank stephanie tanner and baby mark messier. Im a calm rider so i can hand a fish tail at 50mph, but i was still lucky. this is why: -my tires were warmed up as it was the end of my ride -the ground was dry -i had LED lighting which gave me a BRIGHT shot of what was ahead of me. -Ocean Source sent me a replacement light ASAP and i installed it ASAP If i did not have this LED light, i dont think i would have had 40 feet to react, would been more like 25... which is NOTHING when you talking about avoiding a deer strike on 2 wheels doing 50-60. So if u have a stock light, GO LED(even if u pick a diff style from a diff place-- just get visible!!- this light of mine is perfect for me, my taste, my safety)... seller has prompt customer service- i had to utilize it so i know. The light looks nice on the octane as well. With this light and my riding strategy, ppl dont pull out in front of me, they instead tend to wait- still yet im not complacent out there. dont wait to do this upgrade.... its cheap and can save your life. buy with confidence. Peace and be safe out there.

Bought this for my 2015 HD Street 500 and am completely blown away with the quality of the light. Easily worth three times what I paid for it ($40). The install was kind of rough due to the finicky stock clips but that was not the fault of the bulb itself. Once you see the difference from a halogen stock bulb it’s all worth it. The only difference that I can see between this and the Daymaker is the small pilot light. With this light you have to essentially tuck the pilot light behind the unit and hide it away. With the Daymaker the Pilot light plug has its own connection in the back of the unit and retains its functionality. The good news is there was plenty of room to tuck the pilot light behind the unit and I had zero issues fitting the bulb and retainer back onto the light housing. Took me less than a minute. All in all I’d say this is one of the best bargains I’ve had on Amazon and i’d happily buy two or three of these before I bought a Daymaker. UPDATE: I’ve been using the Wisamic light for a few months now and it’s been perfect. I recently traded in my street 500 for a Dyna Street Bob and the first thing I bought was another Wisamic. Don’t think twice!

I recently purchased a 2017 Sportster Iron 883 and was unhappy with the halogen (yellow) light assembly. I found a LED light assembly on the HD website for something like $350. I read some reviews about the light assembly, watched some install videos and in doing so, I came across a youtube video of the Wisamic LED assembly for approx. 1/7 the cost of the HD model. Even if I have a problem with this light, which I haven't yet, I can purchase 6 more compared to 1 HD model. This light installs very easy. You may have to play with it a bit, due to the fact that there is a longer plug compared to the HD halogen assembly. This light is a bright white/blue compared to the yellow halogen. Day and night difference and 1 million times better. With the stock halogen assembly, there are a couple tabs that help with alignment that the Wisamic doesn't have, but it isn't an issue when you do the installation. I have had this light installed for a couple weeks now and don't have any complaints.
