This program is very entertaining. I even worked with a Kindergartner, once, I was able to help her place her fingers on the Home Keys, she did quite well. 1st - 5th Grades will have no problem at all. The unique Games make it fun too, Your child will take two lessons, go to a game and back to the lessons. Will entertain/engage your child to do better and learning skills for the future.

Fun program

My seven year old daughter has a ton of online homework and uses the computer at her school daily. Learning how to type is now becoming a must in today's society. This program actually reminds me when I was in middle school and it's almost exactly how it was then. I have an IMAC computer and downloaded it without any problems and it's right onto my desktop. It's very easy to navigate in the program. They explain it well in the introduction when you press go. It is really nicely detailed and definitely kid friendly. I'm not the greatest typer myself so I have been practicing as well. There is a easy and a not so easy level literally called that lol. I love that it shows your results after each set of practice or game. I'm a 35wpm typer lol. I did receive the program to test it out for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I think it's worth paying full price. And if your thinking about getting the adult version this one can do both '

What a great Typing program

What a great Typing program, my son loves the themes and games in this software. I like how it was so easy to install and use.

Fun for all ages!

My kiddos, ages 8, 12 and 14 love this game! I love it because they're learning a life skill while having fun! My kiddos have a competitive nature, and I thought they'd be trying to compete with each other, but they like the game so much that they are competing with themselves and trying to get to all the islands to get to the castle! Yay for fun and educational learning! What a treat, and just in time for Summer! My older two have almost made it to the final island, after playing it for two days- so I wish there were more islands, however, I will still have them play it throughout the Summer to see if they can get their wpm higher and higher- so again, competing with themselves and improving on a lifelong skill! I give it a try and it works fine with my mac

Big hit with my girls.

Typing Instructor Platinum has been a big hit at my house. I have a 9 & 7 year old. It is difficult for my littlest but she is slowly getting it. My 9 year old would play this for hours if I let her. It starts off teaching you hand placement and working through the home row of letters learning four at a time. Working through all the keys. It's fun to type your way through the levels. Basically you are introduced to the four letters and type random letters getting familiar with the letters. Once you pass that it will tell you your accuracy and words per minute. Then you play fun little games to practice and move along the map. I reviewed this product at a free or discounted price for my unbiased review.

Worth the money

My daughter enjoys this typing game.
