Best Dog Bed I Have Ever Purchased!

I know how frustrating it is to find a quality dog bed! And, how disappointing it is to invest money into one that doesn't hold up. Ugh! For these reasons I want to share my experience with my "Friends Forever" purchase in hopes that it will help someone else. This is by far one of the best dog beds I have ever purchased and at a good/fair price for the quality. Let me clarify. I wouldn't have purchased this dog bed at the listed price of $199.00, because that is out of my budget. I paid $99.00 (sale price) for this bed and it is worth every penny. Over the years, I have had six dogs (rescues). So, I have some experience with dog beds and how well they hold up. In the past, I have paid a little over and a little under $100 and received lesser quality beds from many other companies. And, this is why I won't purchase from those companies/manufacturers again. From now on, all my future dog bed purchases will be from "Friends Forever" as long as they maintain the quality at a reasonable price. PHOTO NOTE: This is my beloved four-legged friend " Dusty" enjoying his new dog bed. He is a 15-year-old husky/shepherd mix that weighs 70 pounds. In one of the pics, my 82-year-old mom decided she wanted to try the bed out. (LOL) She loved it too, but asked me to get her one that was a little bigger. A great sense of humor runs in our two-legged family. :) Here's why am I so impressed with this bed. QUALITY: 1) The outside fabric the bed is made with holds up very well; doesn't stain or easily absorb liquid (urine, vomit, drool). Hair doesn't embed into the fabric and comes off easily with a vacuum cleaner or you can dampen your hand with a wet rag, run your hand across the fabric to remove the hair. The seams are also sewn well and the zippers are of good quality. 2) Unfortunately, the second day I had the bed my dog became ill. He vomited numerous times and he is a large dog. The cover couldn't be hand cleaned, it had to go into the wash. I was concerned because I have had many dog beds fall apart once they were washed and dried. Not the case with this one. The cover washed and dried (low heat) beautifully. No stains were left. No shrinkage. The seams and zippers stayed in great shape with no fraying. My dog is in and out of the bed constantly. After a month of use, the outside cover still looks like new and is holding up after being washed/dried. The thickness and support of the mattress and bolster haven't worn down either. 3) The thickness and quality of the memory foam mattress are outstanding. The mattress is one solid piece and approximately 3.5 inches thick. It gives a great deal of support for your dog and is very comfortable for aging pets, those with arthritis or other joint issues. The bolster is stuffed with some type of batting that is very ample. The bolster stays firm and doesn't gap or sag even over repeated use. DESIGN: 1) This bed was certainly designed with an understanding of dogs and the needs of the pet owner.The outer cover is well made with zippers to remove it so that the cover can be washed. It holds up well when washed (cold water) and dried (low heat). Another tremendous asset is the removable (zippered) waterproof liners; one covers the bolster and the other the mattress itself. If your dog should vomit, urinate or other liquid spills occur it won't seep into the mattress or bolster batting and begin to smell (because you can't wash the actual mattress or batting on any dog bed). An added plus is that in addition to the outside cover, the waterproof covers can be removed and washed, as well. 2) The low, open profile in the front allows for a dog to easily step in and out of the bed. Not having to step up over something to get in the bed is a definite plus for an elderly dog. COLOR: I purchased the "Pewter" color and love it! Even though my furnishings are sage and warmer earth type tones, the "Pewter" color doesn't clash. Though it doesn't match, the shade is complimentary with my other furnishings, especially with the off-white piping accent the runs along the front of the bed. SIZE: I purchased the Large. My 70 pound shepherd/husky mix snuggles into it and puts his head on the bolster. It is the perfect size for his weight to snuggle in. If I were looking for something where he could stretch all the way out, he would need the XL. See photos. MISC: I find the "Friends Forever" tag that is on the front of the bed to be a nice touch. I can't look at it and read it without smiling. LAST, BUT NOT LEAST ... My 15-year-old dog LOVES THIS BED! Great Bed!

Max loves his new bed. For reference, Max is a 75 pound boxer mix. I ordered an XL bed. It's huge. He probably would have been fine with a large, but I wanted him to have plenty of room to stretch out. The bed is very well made. It's heavier and more substantial than the other foam dog beds I have. Assembly was super easy and took all of 5 minutes which included cutting it out of the plastic wrap. The bolsters are already inserted into the cover so all you have to do is put the bottom piece of foam into the liner and then insert it into the cover, zip, and you're done. There was a slight odor as there is will all foam these days, but it wasn't bad and was gone by the next day. It didn't seem to bother Max at all. The cover seems to be well made, the fabric is very nice, and the zipper worked well. This bed is pricey, but worth the money.

Great dog bed especially at the lightening deal price

I have bought two of these for my 3 medium to large golden retrievers (70-85 lbs). I bought the XL on prime day and the XXL on black friday. My dogs love them and they are big enough for two of them to cuddle at the same time (they have to be appropriately placed especially on the XL but it can be done). They were easy to assemble when they arrived and should be easy to clean (I haven't yet but need to just because it has been a little while). My dogs are the diggers and spinners when they lay down and they aren't very gentle. These beds have shown no signs of tears in the few weeks and months when have been using them. I should mention they don't get super heavy use because my dogs have a few beds around the house and are allowed on the furniture.

We bought an XL for our 105 on Great Pyrenees and I worried it would be large enough

We bought an XL for our 105 lb Great Pyrenees and I worried it would not be large enough. It's perfect and she has some room to spare. It's well made and very comfortable evidenced by the many naps she takes in it. I would recommend this to other large dog owners. She now chooses this bed over her other dog bed. It must feel good on her old bones 💗

Big, Deep, Soft, and Comfortable

I have 2 (5 1/2 month old) German Shepherd puppies (brothers) and replaced their training beds with these beautiful Friends Forever beds. The large size is big enough for both puppies. But, I ordered a bed for each puppy as they will definitely need their own beds as they keep growing. The beds are perfect; roomy, deep, soft, comfortable, and I absolutely love the pewter color. The puppies love to lay their heads on the headrest and just stretch out and go right to sleep. (This picture is at 7am - Roman is on the left bed and Logan is on the right bed) The beds are very easy to put together and you can take the whole bed apart to wash the outside cover if necessary. I paid $119 per bed (large size) and well worth the price. A great quality product and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!!! I highly recommend Friends Forever beds for your dog. Good purchase

We have two dogs and a lot of dog beds. I was looking for something supportive for my older dog. This bed purchase has been the best so far. Easy to put together right out of the box; the bolster is already zippered in and the mattress, once unsealed and expanded, fits easily into its cover and zips in to the bottom portion. So far it has been easy to vacuum and clean. The bed is light and easily movable, yet doesn't shift when on the floor. My old lab loves it! He is close to 80 lbs and the large size works for him. I will purchase this bed again.

Favorite dog bed

Update: Last picture is the same 90 pound boxer in a Large bed. I bought him a second bed. This one also fits but without extra room. Plenty big enough and comfortable. Easy to put together and didn’t smell. I got the XL but a large would have been fine. We have larger than normal Boxer, 90 pounds when he’s not overweight. When his “girlfriend” boxer comes to visit there will be room for her too. The memory foam is better than just fill. This is much better when we travel as well since fill is unstable and feels like it’s sliding all of the time. Love the bolsters! Boxers love to sleep with their heads on arm rests. This isn’t as high but it’s a good alternative. Great bed.

The perfect bed for a spoiled furry family member!!

We could not be more thrilled with this bed!! I would be happy to sleep on a bed this comfortable. As soon as we put the bed together, Gunner, our Labrador, left his comfy spot on our couch and laid down on his new bed. The bed was so easy to put together! The memory foam 'recovered' within 12 hours. He was so excited about his new bed that he had to share it with his favorite toy. Great quality for a fantastic price - I would have paid twice as much for it!

My 25lb Cat Loves It!

We love this bed! I purchased this bed, the small size, for my 14 year old, 25 lb. cat. He has arthritis and spondylitis, so it’s very important that I find something just right that he will be comfortable in, and able to get in and out of. He looooves my beauty rest bed, so I decided to look for a memory foam bed that he might like as he is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to dog beds. Yes, I only buy him dog beds, he won’t even look at cat beds, I’m assuming because they are way too small? I don’t know for certain, but I know he hates them lol. Anyway I found this bed and purchased it thinking it might feel similar to my mattress and away since it’s memory foam and he loves it. I’ve moved it around a couple of times and he has followed it and laid it wherever it goes. He’s heavy so I didn’t want a soft mattress/pad in the bed, I wanted something that would be a little bit more supportive, a little bit more firm, and this bed is perfect. it’s not too soft and it’s not hard. it’s perfect for his precious little body and he just loves it. The only issue is that as a cat he likes to curl up against the bolsters, and there is a front gap in the bolstering and he sort of falls out.. really slowly while he’s sleeping, he just kind of sinks out of it it’s so cute and kind of funny to see, and he doesn’t seem to mind, but as his mama, I don’t want him to wake up sore or uncomfortable because of it. So I put a long pillow in front of it to hold him in, and that works just fine, I just wish I could find a bed just like this will totally enclosed bolsters. But I still give this bed 5 stars because he doesn’t seem to mind, and he looooves his new bed! So I love it too 🤗

My dad is going to sleep on this dog bed!

After the egg crate foam continued to fail in other bedding, I opted to purchase this bed as a replacement. Just WOW!! What a bed! Shipping was quick, bed was compacted nicely in the box. I had read the reviews - and instructions - and opened the foam mattress from the plastic sleeve and allowed it to breathe and take shape in the sun on the porch. I left it out there a good three hours, prior to sunset. I slipped the mattress into the cover with the bolsters and set it inside, covering it with a blanket, again at the suggestion of others for easier cleaning. She sniffed at the bed for a moment and then crawled up on it, and made her way over to the side and laid down, placing her head on one of the bolster pillows. It's been several days now and I can tell you she loves this bed, and the pillows to prop her head for napping or hide her snout depending on her sleep moods. The bed is huge, and I probably could have sized down - she is a Staffordshire mix, 58 lbs and there is room for another similar sized dog on the bed. But then my dad came in and saw this lux bed, and he said he's going to sleep on it!
